Tim gave a competitive bid and did a great job. I have a few other yard projects planned for the property and Tim is my first choice for each of them. I would definitely recommend him.

Went extremely well. We finally have a walkway that WILL definitely add value to our house. Work was done within my timeframe (which was tight) and cost was reasonable compared to other licensed establishments in the area. Fixed the surrounding areas around the finished walkway with fresh fertilized dirt and grass seeds, so that we have a nice looking lawn.

From the start, Tim was fast and professional. We contacted a few companies, wanting to get competitive quotes, and Tim got back to us the very day we sent out our contacts. Some companies didn't get back to us for a few days, and others didn't contact us at all, but by then we'd already agreed to work with Tim. He worked with us during the process of designing a walkway for our front yard, helping us pick out materials based on look, ease of use (both for us shoveling snow in the winter and him installing, meaning lower labor cost), and cost. His quote was reasonable and included demolishing and hauling away the old walkway. We were concerned that some city maintenance on our street would interfere with the work in our yard, and Tim made a point to come out himself and perform most of the work to get it done before construction started. He finished the job in 3 1/2 days and kept us in the loop what he was doing every day. The actual work itself was phenomenal, we're very happy with the look and solid feel of the walkway, and Tim even repaired any damage caused to our yard by moving equipment in and out. We cannot recommend him enough - it was a pleasure working with him and we'd be happy to again in the future.

We recently bought a small cottage, built in 1960, which had neither a front landing nor a walkway connecting the house to the driveway. The front of the house looked a bit sad and definitely unfinished. McManus Landscaping did a wonderful job creating a new entrance to our home. We recommend Tim and his company whole-heartedly. To create something from nothing is a big job -- Tim guided us through the process of selecting materials and deciding upon the look and size of the landing and walkway. In doing so, Tim was able to tie in an existing garden bed, even matching some of the new stones to its edging. This was a huge and unexpected plus. Tim is very concerned with conserving and re-using materials whenever possible. It's a "green" attitude and we appreciated his extra thought. When he excavated (we wanted a larger landing than is usual), he used the resulting pile of earth to help level a section of our side yard -- that was totally off-contract and, to us, really above and beyond. He's the kind of guy who shows real pride in his work and his employees are the kind of men you want working at your home. We couldn't be happier.

The project went great. Tim met with us a few times to discuss the scope of the project and give us ideas for the project. He worked closely with us to select the materials for the project. Once the project was started, Tim kept us informed of the status of the project. Tim and his crew were hard working and did a great job getting the work done in a timely manner. It totally transformed our yard and we love the final result!

Went as expected. Was not home when the work was done, can't comment on that. Tim is great to work with.

Tim and his team did a great job. Look forward to working with them again in the future. I really appreciated that Tim took his time to talk over some of the work I have planned for the future and offer ideas and suggestions.

Once we agreed on the scope of the work, Tim was punctual and performed the described work without any hiccups. The process required a period of communication for additional questions and sending us updates and revisions. Follow up communication by phone and email felt at times spotty taking longer than anticipated which would be the one critique I might have but pretty minor for us at the time. Tim's a great guy and I am pleased with his work and ethic. An uninvited landscaper came over during Tim's site visit trying to derail his work plan and our vote of confidence in him. Tim handled it professionally and let his work speak for itself. I held off writing this review until I got to see how the lawn would turn out in our relatively shady area amongst oak trees. I'm happy to report the lawn has grown in quite nicely so far.

I couldnt have been happier with the job they did. I am going to use them in the future for cutting my lawn.

They ended up charging us more than the big deal. They did a good job. They told us that they were going to call if they needed to charge us more but they never called to tell us that. They did the work and charged us on the back end. They had a good service but we were disappointed that they didn't tell us that they were going to charge us more. They were punctual. I would possibly use them again in the future, if necessary, yes, I would use them again in the future.

No problems. Tim and crew did exactly what I wanted.

Pretty good. We would like to do more, but decided to focus our resources inside vs outside at this point. We approved a stripped down scope of work for them to get done this fall.

i've done a lot of this work for myself in the past and have researched it all many times. when we spoke about the job i could tell he knew what he was talking about. he def put in plenty of time discussing the options and answering my questions. came early morn like you'd expect from a contractor, got right to work, had plenty of riding equipment and other equipment with him. think he had day laborers with him, and i was kinds worried, but he did everything that mattered himself. from i could tell and i was home the whole time and checked in a few times just for fun and to take pics... they were there to help him with the raking and the disposal of the old lawn and dirt which is the toughest part of the job. all the finesse work he did himself. he is clearly 'at home' drivin the bobcat. its been almost three weeks and bottom line is that the lawn is coming in very well. seed was obviously spread to all corners. its consistent growth and looks great. new lawns don;t look perfect the first season - i';ve been through this many times in the past. this new lawn is coming in as well as a seeded lawn comes in. by next fall it'll be filled in well and won;t look new any more. the yard is also graded better than it was before he came in - def improvement, flat but graded properly. yard was kinda humped up right in the center b4.

I am in the process of selling my home and live too far away to take care of the lawn. Tim and his team have done a GREAT job of maintaining the outside. It's always in "show ready" condition and I could not be more pleased.

Because I had already hired someone for the job I did not hire Tim . However, if something should come up I would definitely contact him. He was punctual and extremely professional, he went above and beyond the necessary. He spoke to me at length about landscaping ideas and provided me with written estimates for all his ideas. I thought he was great!

I submitted a request for an estimate but didn't hear back from them until over a week later after I had already been contacted by someone else who had responded within 5 minutes of my request. I will say that I had also contacted 3 other service providers who never responded, at least MacManus did respond, although after an extremely long time in my book. I would hope that in the future they will respond in a faster manner if just to tell someone, "Hey, we're really busy right now. Can we get back to you in a few days?" That would go far in my book.

Tim was great to work with. Came when promised and completed job in a timely manner. Yard looks great!

I would highly recommend using Tim and MacManus again. They are on time, on budget, professional, and do not have to be overseen to ensure a high quality job. In a business where there are a mixed bag of companies and fly by night guys, I'm confident you can get a top quality job done by these guys and at a fair price.

He did an excellent job. We're going to hire him again to do seasonal maintenance. He was extremely professional, completed the job in the agreed upon time frame, and called with recommendations and to get pre-approval when a situation came up that wasn't anticipated. He also provided great advice about low maintenance yards and the best vegetation for our yard.

Tim came immediately and submitted a quote of $450 - $500. The job was scheduled quickly. His two men worked really hard and did a great job. However the job took longer than he estimated so the final invoice was almost double....... $970. He called to say he realized it was significantly more than we expected and wanted us to be happy......to use him again and to submit a good review on Angies List. We haggled a bit and settled on $700. The other lawn service we called estimated the time involved more accurately and submitted a quote of $900 - $1000. At the time we thought that was awfully high but of course it turned out to be in line.

I contacted MacManus landscaping to get a price quote and Tim contacted me right away after I sent my initial email. Tim worked with my busy schedule to book a time to review the project in person and accommodated my need to have a night time appointment. Tim brought pictures of other projects he had completed so that was helpful in making our decision. After the initial visit, Tim quickly followed up with a price quote for the work we discussed and provided a second separate quote for some work that I wasn't sure I wanted to undertake. Once we agreed upon the scope of work, Tim quickly scheduled the time to start the project. Tim kept us informed via phone call, text and email on the schedule for the work and always followed up on any questions we had or if he needed input on something related to our project. Tim was also willing to work with us to repurpose some materials we already had on hand to save us money and to avoid having to throw more material away. I would definitely use MacManus Landscaping and would recommend Tim's company to friends and family.

It was great!! They did the entire job in one day. Originally I was told it would be about 2 weeks before he could get to the job but he called me with the quote and said he could be there the next day. I was extremely happy! Yard looks great, it needed major grooming. I will definately contact Tim again in the future for fall and spring clean ups.

The prompt response to our inquiry was extraordinary. We had an estimate done for summer landscaping and is very comparable. But due to various reasons, we could do proceed with the project. But I will use them in the future as we have quote on snow removal and lawn care for this year.

I called MacManus Landscapers in early May for a spring clean up. We had planned an outdoor party for Memorial Day weekend, and the yard was looking pretty rough. Tim and crew came out, cleaned up and mulched, cleaned up leftover leaves, trimmed some trees along the driveway, as well as put down a load of gravel in the driveway. My husband and I talked with Tim about some ideas we had to enhance our yard, just to get a professional's opinion. We had recently purchased a gazebo, but had no nice flat place to put it up in our yard, Tim suggested a patio and showed us some pictures - he does great work, and we knew we had to hire him for this job! While there were a few roadblocks (weather), they got the job done and then some - coming on weekends (Sundays too!). But that's not the best part! Since a backhoe was needed to dig up the yard for the patio, the grass was all torn up and there were dirt patches in places - one right beside the walkway to the patio, and it looked bad. Tim agreed, and on a Sunday, he got his crew and a couple other landscapers to go out to find sod and some additional plants! They laid sod all afternoon so that the yard would look 100% for the party the next day. Tim was at our house until 9 pm that night making sure everything was cleaned up and looking good. It looked great & everyone complimented the job. These guys do great work and are very professional. Their rates are competitive, not overpriced. And, most importantly, Tim is just a great guy - super nice and goes the extra mile. The rest of the guys are just as awesome, too!

It is always a great experience working with Tim from MacManus. He always is available to talk if ever have a concern or have to bother them to change the day of my cut. He and his crew really go above and beyond weedwacking the edges and making everything look perfect. These guys are great.
