After three months and no takers (I'm estimating they showed it ten times) the agreement ended. The Apt has very small bedrooms, but is in a completely renovated home and is beautiful. I decided to try and show the place on my own and placed an add in Craigslist; 10 people show-up the next day. It was rented within the week. Not sure how hard this Realtor tried when I rented it in days compared to the months they had; although to be fair, they were showing it in the Winter and I showed it just as the weather had stared to turn nicer in the Spring.
Description of Work: Entered into agreement wit this Realtor to rent my apartment (show it, and recommend tenants, etc); Agreement was for 3 months and they received one month rent for finding me a tenant (first they would try to get the new tenant to pay, then the tenant would split the fee with me split the fee with me, then if still no takers, I would pay the entire fee).

The owner is Greg and the real estate agent that represented me was Paul. Greg is a real estate agent as well as a lawyer, so it is easier to get things done. He took care of me like I have never been taken care of by any other agency. He did a good job of meeting expectations and can be too direct at times, but I consider that beneficial because he tells you straight up what is going on. The deal was a tough one to close and he told me that it is one of the most challenging one he has had to deal with. It was a positive experience and Paul did a good job of keeping us happy and managing us through the whole process. They did a great job of being professional and taking care of us.
Description of Work: I used Stelmach Realty in October of last year.

Stelmach Realty was recommended to me by others at my work who had worked with them in the past. Craig being a lawyer really helped reassure me about a number of aspects, as he could speak knowledgeably on topics that a real estate agent alone could not advise me. I've kept in touch with Craig since completing the purchase -- Paul even followed up months later to remind me about various special tax breaks this year; to ensure I was speaking to my tax person about them. Very helpful, as I was a first-time home buyer. I look forward to working with Craig and Paul again in a few years if I have the opportunity upgrade homes
Description of Work: Note: The $$ spent was not out of my pocket (no out of pocket expense). This was the amount they received as part of the broker commission on the sale. I worked with Craig and Paul to search for a Condo for my Fiance and I in Cambridge. We found the right place, and with their help, worked through all the details, and closed without any major issues.
