We purchased a Groupon for Three Man Hour Housecleaning sessions ($450 value) for $149. Right from the start, DustBusters Cleaning (Karen) was not very easy to work with but tried to work with her. The 1st cleaning was scheduled for 12/27/12 and I had to call the day before to make sure they were still coming. Karen seemed distracted but said someone would be there but was not sure when but probably in the afternoon. The cleaners arrived in the afternoon and did an ok job ? they did not vacuum or dust the small 1st floor ? basically no explanation given and left. The 2nd cleaning was scheduled on 3/19 for 4/11. I was told by Karen that she would call the day before to tell me what time. I waited until around 4/10 2:30PM and still had heard nothing from her, so I called. She did not appear to know anything about it but said someone would be there around 2pm on 4/11. The cleaners did arrive on 4/11 and did a good job and even cleaned the 1st floor which the previous cleaners did not. The 3rd cleaning - I called on 5/6 & 7th until I finally got Karen. She did not return messages left. On 5/7, I reached her and requested the final cleaning on 5/16 or 17th. She said she? doesn?t know? but will call me the day before to let me know. I did not hear from her at all but did not realize the time had passed until Fri 5/17. I called her and left a message but got no response. I called 5/20 at 10:45am to find out what happened the previous week and she finally called back at 3:45pm. She said she did not know about last week! She said she would come the next day. I told her that was not possible on such short notice. Her comment was ?well, the Groupon expires on 5/22?. I told her yes, it did but considering the fact that I wanted 5/16 or 17th and she failed to deliver or call that I was willing to work with her under the circumstances. The line went mysteriously dead at that moment I immediately called her back and left a message. I called again at 4:45pm and left a message. The next day, 5/21 Karen called back and said the Groupon had to be used by 5/22. I once again reviewed the circumstances with her that she had missed the date and was supposed to call, etc ? not me. Also letting someone know at 5pm the day before is not reasonable for any business or to tell someone they ?don?t know ?for dates. I again advised her I was willing to work with her to resolve whether the Groupon was expired or not ? she had failed in her obligation I told her I was willing to do the cleaning later in the week or the following week ? whatever would work best. She said she could not. She was unwilling to discuss, negotiate or anything. We ended that she would ?let me know ?when I once again advised her I was willing to work with her to avoid any further troubles but she needed to be responsive also. She stated she would let me know and hung up. Obviously, I have never heard back from her. Strongly recommend looking elsewhere for reliable and professional cleaning services. (p.s. Groupon was great and gave us a credit for the unused cleaning)

i have never had my condo professionally cleaned. i saw a groupon for 69 dollars that included 3 hours of cleaning. i called and left a message to make an appointment. i had originally wanted to schedule for friday, but was told that they are busy on fridays and i'd have to make an appointment for tuesday or wednesday. i chose wednesday and was told that i would receive 1.5 hours of cleaning, done by two people. one person showed up, on time, but it was still only one person. i had to leave for work, so i am unsure of how long was actually spent at my condo cleaning. she did a good job on the tub, but everything else was just ok. the mirror on the outside of my medicine cabinet was shiny, but the inside was still left spotted. the kitchen floor looked clean, but the outside of the refrigerator and dishwasher still had spots all over them. clearly, appliances do not get cleaned. the one carpet still had a ton of pet hair on it, and the wooden floors still had food spills. so, definitely not what i expected. glad i only paid 69 dollars. i will not used this company again. the woman that did come to clean the house seemed pleasant. but, i really have nothing else positive to say.

I have been using them for over five years now. She is very accommodating and flexible. Sometimes I call her on very short notice with specific needs and she always sends me a crew. The only negative thing is how sometimes they don’t do an excellent job. Her prices are very reasonable. Her forte is her willings to accomodate for customer satisfaction.

Most recently (March 2011 and June 2011) it has been F. I have a small house and only want about half of it cleaned. I do have special requirements because I have 4 parrots in large cages who make a neverending mess and around whom chemicals and sprays of any kind are not allowed. Because of this, I am flexible and not terribly picky. Karen has always scheduled specific times and dates but 2 out of 5 times her people arrived without notice and without even ringing the doorbell and triggered the alarm. One time I was even still in the shower. Twice they arrived early and I was not home but they entered the house anyway. Last week a new team arrived more than an hour early as I was leaving the house and I let them stay because I have numerous cameras recording 24/7. When I returned about an hour later, they were already leaving the house ....very very quickly. Not much had been done, but they had tried to wash the floors. They did not make the bed but had thrown the coverlet over the sheets - crookedly. Nothing was dusted anywhere in the house.I checked the bathroom and discovered that they had broken the bottom bracket of the sliding shower head. One of them had grabbed the bar, probably thinking it was made for that purpose, and snapped the bracket which rendered the shower unusable. I called Karen and left a message, but had to call again yesterday. They had not told her what happened. I urged her to come here herself to see what happened and what had and had not been done, but Karen insisted on sending her handyman to 'fix it' and made an appointment for me to be here. Once again, she had to cancel at the last minute. I hope she can get her act together because I really like her and she used to provide GREAT service at a reasonable price, but until things improve, I cannot recommend her. I'm really really sorry about it. Last week (7/14), I called Karen of Dustbusters and told her I had a plumber scheduled for this coming Monday (7/25) and she needed to get here THIS week to see the damage. She did not reply so I called again on Monday (7/18) and she told me her handyman assured me he could fix it. I told her to have him call me because I have talked to the manufacturer and replacements (parts or the whole unit) are not available and I told her SHE needs to come out and look at the damage. She called tonight at 5:14pm (Friday 7/22) and left a message that her handyman said he can fix it and he'll be here Monday. I returned her call immediately but she did not pick up. She is being deliberately obstructive and I have been a LOT nicer about this than anyone else would. BTW, she has sent me TWO bills for service (not rendered) at double the normal rate. I want to amend my complaint to F She really doesn't deserve a C or D.
Description of Work: General house cleaning. I've used Dustbusters11 times at the request of a friend of the owner's husband (now deceased) and it's either A+ service or F-. It started well, but quality, professionalism, and punctuality steadily declined.

Problem is that they don't come the same time each time. Supposed to come at 8 AM and come anywhere between 7:45 AM and as late as 9:30 AM.
Description of Work: They come every 2 weeks to clean and do a good job. Clean first floor and stairs and upstairs bathroom.
