Dustbusters Cleaning

Cleaners (2 ppl) arrived late but I was ok with that. However, they stayed less time than planned. One of the workers had to go home to "clean her own house" so they shortened my service. My entire home is floored in either newly refinished hardwood or marble. They forgot to bring the vacuum's hardwood floor attachment so, cleaner (#1) tried vacuuming my floors with the hard plastic extension wand of her vacuum. The same vacuum (canister style) had only 3 wheels instead of 4. The fourth had broken off "at their last job". The metal wheel axel was scraping around my hardwood and marble floors as cleaner #1 dragged it allover the house. I asked cleaner #1 to pick the vacuum up when she needed to move it but, she continued dragging it when she thought I wasn't watching. I even offered to let her use my own vacuum. She refused. The 2nd cleaner (#2) proceeded to clean my new stainless steel appliances with a stack of metal bracelets on her wrist which she continuously banged against the refrigerator. I asked her to removed her bracelets. Cleaner #1 offered to do the appliances instead, which she did. They splashed 'Fabulosa' a highly toxic and strong odored, cheap cleaning solution on my floors (even around my oriental carpet), did a quick damp mopping without actually cleaning up the spots on the floors and then they were done. I gave them a generous tip because it was the holidays. I regret rewarding their inadequate work. I re-mopped all of my floors immediately after they left. Karen, the owner was apologetic and offered to have them come back and redo my home. I politely told her "no thank you". And told her that I was done using their service. I will never hire their service again.

Do yourself a favor, stay away from these people! It's a scam agency: they don't show up after rescheduling 3 (THREE) times. Never return phone calls and are simply rude and unprofessional. Wasted 3 days of my time waiting for them to show up - never did, never called, no apology either. Lesson learned!

They did a great cleaning job and I had a really good experience with them. They even made sure to clean the top of the cabinets.

I set up my appointment based on a recommendation from a friend. They were prompt courteous and quietly went about the task of cleaning my home. They clean everything, even wiping down the baseboard. Everything was spotless when they less and the house smelled wonderful...they even vacuumed the front porch! I would definitely recommend them to a friend and will use them again in the future.

I bought a Living Social deal for Dust Busters and it was a total ripoff. First of all, the deal says 1.5 hours of cleaning, but the cleaners that came told me it was only an hour. I should have known they were shady from the beginning. I had moved out of an apartment and I needed the empty bathrooms (2) and kitchen to be cleaned. Three people showed up, but didn't clean at all. There was soap scum in the bathrooms, the empty cabinets and refrigerator hadn't been cleaned, they left garbage on the floor and I then had to pay another company to clean it again, per the landlord's request. I called Dust Busters to request a re-clean or a refund and Karen was extremely short and rude to me. A few days later a man from "customer service" called to inquire about what happened. I told him and he said he would look into it. No one ever called me back. I tried to call the company again, but no one has returned my call. I urge you to stay far away from this company.

I had a Groupon for Dust Busters which was an hour and a half with two people for half price. I have a very tiny house and they were here for the hour and a half but they chose not to even go in to two bedrooms and do anything. It seemed to be that if a normal place is $150 and we have a two bedroom house and two of the bedrooms are very small, and one bathroom, they didn't deliver. What they did was not worth the full price - I would not have been happy. I don't think they did a good job.

Dustbusters did a fair job cleaning, but this was far outweighed by the fact that they robbed us. they claimed to be "bonded" and insured. Don't believe it. their employee stole cash and coins from us and Dustbusters did not make restitution. Stay away! They offer a good price, which lures you in, but is something is broken or stolen, they blame you! I have never had a more dishonest service provider.

I called the owner during a weekend game. She answered and promised to send me a team of cleaners that would do a deep clean for the company I expected in a few days. I was pleased that she could respond to my needs so fast. The team arrived when expected and took the alloted time to thoroughly clean 5 rooms, 2 bedrooms, 2 stairs, and 2 landing, and 2 bathrooms and worked around 2 friendly dogs. I only found one problem: there were some drips on the woodwork that had run down the wall when they cleaned the stair case. I am sure they didn't see it. I thought it might have been a roof leak - luckily it wasn't. I would use them again anytime.

The overall service provided over the six months we used Dustbusters was inconsistent. We seemed to get a new cleaning team each month. There were problems with black marks left on carpeting, supplies left behind and the workers did not speak English well enough for us to converse with them, though the owner, Karen Bates promised they all spoke good English. She also promised that they were "bonded and insured". We finally got a fairly good team after a few months. After they had cleaned our house three times, one of my children mentioned that his savings, hidden in his dresser drawer, had less money than he thought it should. Suspicious, I counted his money and that of my other child, the morning that they were scheduled to do another cleaning. After the Dustbuster team left, I counted it again. Over $100 was missing! I checked my own drawer and found more cash missing as well as my lifetime coin collection was gone! I estimate that over $1000 in cash and coins worth over $2500 had been stolen! I immediately notified the owner, Karen Bates. Her husband called me back and I told him what happened. He fired the worker who stole the money and recovered half the coin collection from a pawn shop in East Boston. As for the missing cash, he told he I should have informed him when the first "batch" had been stolen so he could have taken action sooner. I told him this was impossible since I did not realize the loss until I became suspicious and confirmed the most recent incident. I asked about their claim of being "bonded and insured" and he told me this did not apply, since I did not report the loss immediately, even though he agreed that his employee had, indeed, admitted to stealing our cash and coins. My own insurance only covered a loss up to $400 after a $2500 deductible. So it was too bad for me. He did reimburse me for a fraction of the money that he was able to recover from his thieving employee, but the rest was not his problem. I have never had a worse experience with a service provider. I reported them to the police and Attorney General's office, but there is no hope of restitution. So beware! Dustbusters claim of being bonded and insured seems to be false. They do not make good on what their employees steal and you could be next if you get your house cleaned by Dustbusters in Reading. I feel most sorry for their current customers who do not know about this and may already have been robbed and not know it.

The team of two arrived right on time at 7:45 AM. We toured the house, I answered questions, then I left to go to work. When I returned in the evening the house was beautifully clean and smelled great! They missed two relatively small things which can be addressed next time. I will be using this service every other week. Overall, I am very happy with my decision to hire Dust Busters.

This is a good company for people that are working from home. The quality of the work was fine. The owner of the company did whatever she had to do to make me happy. She sent 2 women that were more personable and that I was able to build a relationship with. I have my home cleaned by them every 3 weeks.
