I am really happy with them. They are really good. They have decent pricing.

Prompt and on time servicing. The service man was knowledgable, and did a nice job. The company takes credit cards such as Visa for payment. And they gave me only a two hour time frame, so I was not waiting around the whole entire day. He took 1.5 hours to do the entire cleaning and fixing the condensate pump.

Cooling Unlimited were really great to work with. Of all the vendors we got quotes from, they made us most comfortable with the process. Kevin, our service manager, was very knowledgeable and responsive. He was able to schedule us an installation date that was before we moved into our house, which was a huge bonus. Our installation crew was polite and respectful of our home and did a great job, especially considering ours is an older home with limited attic/crawl space. The electrician they worked with to wire our panel for the system was also really wonderful. We were so impressed with the service we received and will definitely be using them again.

In brief, we highly recommend Cooling Unlimited. Our primary point of contact was Charlie, and he was great from beginning to end -- at the front end he was the opposite of a high-pressure salesman, and unlike salesmen at other companies who quoted the work for us, Charlie was knowledgeable about the nuts and bolts. He was onsite repeatedly through the project. The whole team did a great job. They worked with us to figure out what equipment we wanted, and spent a lot of their time figuring out all the rebates and tax breaks we could get. They installed promptly, and were able to split the work over two separate days in order to let us rebuild the pad where the A/C condenser rests outside. They came back to add a gas regulator when it turned out our local pressure was higher than anticipated (outside the tankless spec.)

Good Inspection with explanation of issues

Well by noon that Friday we did not get a call so my husband called again and left a message. By Tuesday the following week we still had not heard from them. So my husband decided to by the part. My husband and 16 year old son put the part in and our zone started working. So at the end of the day we saved a few hundred dollars. Then a couple of months later another zone had the same issue and my husband and son fixed it again. So I would give them a chance again as I really liked the technician but if there were unresponsive again that would be the last time.

Once they finally got out to us, the technitian was great and did the inspection and replaced a part and lit the pilot. We were told we would need a new system and the heater did not work. Do to some personnel issues, after another two weeks, my husband flipped the on switch and the heater had dried out and has worked ever since. So the delay worked out very well for us.

I had Cooling Unlimited install a new forced hot-air gas furnace and air-source heat pump in my house. Working with them was the smoothest house repair I've had in years of renovations. Their engineer who came out to give us a quote was patient with our questions, and happy to spend time with us discussing options. They were responsive to email. Their quote came in much lower than the others we got, for comparable equipment. (Half of another!) They were happy to give us a couple different quotes showing the costs of different grades of heat pump. We weren't in a hurry, but they were able to schedule us in within a few weeks. Even better, they actually stuck with that date. Their installers were polite, competent, and happy to talk about what they were doing if we had questions. I did have to spend about 20min cleaning up fiberglass and other small debris outside after each day they were working. I consider this pretty normal, and not a problem. Here are the only concerns I had; they are very minor. I'm sharing them just to be clear how small my problems were: they weren't super fast with communications about all the rebates on the furnace. The rebates did get done, I just wasn't sure when things would happen or how fast. Their standard contract also has full payment due on finish of installation, not after inspection, which made me slightly worried if we had details we wanted fixed, but wasn't a problem.

This provider didn't do the work but they did respond to my request.

I worked with Jared Grier on this project, and he was fantastic. I spoke with a number of providers before going with Cooling Unlimited, and Jared was consistently more responsive and easier to work with than the other companies I spoke to. Jared helped me figure out the best way to cool my house -- we explored ductless, traditional ac and high velocity systems. Over a month or two Jared quoted each of these systems, and we eventually concluded that the ductless made the most sense for our space. As a salesman, Jared with knowledgable without being pushy. He also identified several rebates that essentially let us upgrade our system at no cost. When we installed the system, there were a few issues with the aesthetics of the water drainage. Jared and Sean, the technician, worked with me to find a solution that was acceptable to us, without adding significant work. The installation took four days, and we were running out of time on the fourth day, and something didn't work correctly over the weekend after the installation. Cooling unlimited sent a technician on the next business day and fixed the issue (I believe two electrical lines that ran through a chase were swapped, and the condenser configuration had to be tweaked). I would recommend working with them again.

The entire process was excellent. The salesman was responsive, punctual, extremely knowledgeable, and patient. The installation crew couldn't of been nicer or more meticulous. I would highly recommend this company and already have.

I want to apologize for the "D" grade i left. Apparently my email is not working and i was projecting my frustration at Cooling Unlimited. They had attempted to send me my proposal multiple times. I spoke with their salesman as he even attempted to send it to me at that moment. Completely not their fault for my email server not working. Thank you Cooling Unlimited for being patient with me. Also they gave an attractive price on what i need!!!!

Install went great. Was a mild November, so being without heat was fine. However, since the following January, our upstairs heat would go off and the unit in attic would freeze. After this happening twice a winter for 3-4 years and stop gap fixes failing, a sudden fix was recommended! This was after repeated requests for such fix. After it froze again in January, 2015, and after 2 service calls to repair, it was fixed (I hope) permanently. I informed the office manager, Carol (who is very helpful, but is limited in what she can or cannot do), that I would not be paying for this fix, since they knew about it from the start and never gave me the option. They claim they did, in an email. Not true. Only email I got from them was for a humidifier, which we decided to not pursue. I asked that the owner, Dennis, call me. Nothing. 3-4 months later, I get a bill. I also purchased maintenance agreements for about $700/year, which only covers maintenance. Needless to say, I'm looking for a new maintenance company! UPDATE: I just spoke with Dennis, the owner. Apparently, there has been a HUGE miscommunication happening on BOTH sides. We both failed to follow up with one another and after our conversation, Dennis relayed that the invoice has been taken care of. Thank you, Dennis. I enjoyed our conversation and am happy to say it was taken care of professionally.

the tec showed on time . Told me that one of the compressors was on its last leg and wouldn't make it through the summer of 2014 it is now 2015 and the house is very cool unit working beautifully A day or two after the service call I noticed water on the hallway floor outside of the closet where the air handler is so I looked at the air filter he changed only to find that he ha shoved a too large air filter in and it clogged everything resulting in warping my hardwood floors. Not a good experience. I called the company but no help.

It was ok for the most part. The only thing I didn't like was the replacement fiberglass filter they used on the furnace. Seemed really cheap and ineffective.

Provider showed up on time. Tech was very professional! I am pleased with the service provided!!!

Service performed was great!

I informed the provider that I had snaked the drain which had plugged due to my over-stuffing the garbage disposal. I cleaned it out and snaked the drain myself but it remained very slow, hence my call to the plumber. He tried with his snake but to little result. Seems to me the company should post that they do not clean drains if it involves a heavy clog. Wasted my money and their time. Plus, it took an entire day to get someone on the phone. However, it is important to note that Megan was delightful and once we connected even used her personal phone after hours to speak with me. Clearly above and beyond the call of duty, but the service itself was useless. The gentleman who came was extremely nice and conversational, but I would have preferred an effective service. Again - a perfectly nice guy - but not a plumber I would call.

Overall, quality work from an excellent crew. Right from the start, Charlie was able to provide clear options for a new system and an accurate estimate of cost. The estimate also ended up being of the lowest of several other well ranked companies (on Angie's List). However, Charlie stood out as the most thoughtful and experienced and had a clear plan which accounted for every detail which would be required to complete the job. In the end, I went Cooling Unlimited because they were a locally based company and best communicated the plan and cost for my new system. The crew that did the work were incredibly courteous and professional and I felt very comfortable with them in my home. A few months out from the job being completed, the system is proving to be a worthy investment in the value and comfort of my home (not to mention, my monthly gas bills have dropped tremendously from previous years). Cooling Unlimited delivered on their promise of "turn-key service, right on schedule and without any surprises. As an added bonus, they took care of submitting the several available rebates. I feel like I should write more in praise, but suffice it to say, this crew earned their A.

Provider showed for tune-up. I was in back yard. Provider left after several minutes. Apparently called. Usually (as in always), contractors, find me easily in yard. It is a small house with access to back in a downtown area. Have never had this problem before. Provider suggested they could not re-schedule and that I could not get refund as they had showed for appointment, but did say they would call me back after checking with the owner. They did not. They were hard to get in touch with to schedule the appointment originally and did not reach out within specified time frame.

The process went well. There were a few hiccups getting started with the HEAT home loan, but once that was all done and approved we were on the schedule within 2 weeks from then. The team came out and it took them 5 full days to complete the installation. The team was very courteous considering my wife was 9 months pregnant and had a 2 year old running around. They accommodated moving their work to other sides of the house during nap times and were always letting us know when/where they would be working. There were 2 minor mishaps during the installation. One was that they put a hole in the ceiling on the second floor while working in the attic. They patched it that day and by the end of the week had a few coats of paint on the entire section of the ceiling so that you can't tell there was a hole. The second was that at some point they damaged a valve in our water plumbing that runs to the refrigerator line. They had a team come out to look at it and fixed some crimps in the copper that had caused the fridge water to become unusable. They fixed it but the water pressure was so low that it took 2 minutes to fill a glass. Then they sent out their plumber to repair the valve so that it was back to fully working. They were very responsive about getting the issues all fixed within days of having the job completed. They also cleaned up every day before they left and did one final overhaul at the end of the project, sweeping my entire basement clean. The reason we went with this company is that the other two highly rated companies that quoted us said that we would need to install an entirely separate heating system to handle the second floor because there was no way the air would get upstairs and stay warm. It would also cost $10-20k more, and that was without central air or the humidifier and electronic air cleaning. Cooling Unlimited told me that if I was concerned about air flow they could zone the second and first floors for another $3k and that would fix the issue. So instead of paying another company 30-40k for 2 furnaces we were able to get a 100% brand new, top of the line heating AND cooling system with proper air cleaning and humidity, for 23k. Since the heating has been installed I have done several tests and the air in the second floor has no issue with the zoning. When both zones are running it is much lighter air upstairs, so the zoning fixes the problem easily. All of the duct work, both supplies and returns, is fully and properly insulated. The only negative thing was the response times. We were working with a person who was our project manager and halfway through organizing the project he was no longer there. Not sure why he left but our account got picked up by their office manager. Our original project manager wasn't very quick at returning calls/emails and neither was the office manager. I can completely understand why it took so long to respond, as I can only imagine that getting one persons cases all dropped on an office manager causes a bit of overwork. However it was still several days and multiple emails before I could get answers to questions. Otherwise I still am extremely happy with the work and will continue to work with this company. I fully intend to have them do all service on the system, regardless of if it takes me a few extra days to communicate.

Cooling unlimited installed a Mitsbushi Mr. Slim AC compressor and two wall units at my home. The entire job was done in one day. Everyone I dealt with was professional and courteous. I would recommend them without reservation.

They were good to work with. Scheduling an appointment was good. However, I was disappointed they did not re-charge my AC unit and it seems like they did a basic inspection.

It was more a check-up rather then a tune-up but for this amount of money it is fair. The service man called and strongly suggested to replace the capacitor because it's capacity dropped from 5 mF to 3 mF. The charge was like $200 and I refused. Later on I had no issues whatsoever with running the AC during the summer. Also he suggested chemical cleaning. The charge was also too high to be accepted. I will not probably use their services again because they seem to be a little pushy to cell unnecessary fixes and charge too much comparing to other providers.

My experience was fine. We have not had any issues with the unit since. Scheduling an appointment went well and they got the job done quickly. They were very timely.
