Simple job took almost a year to complete and was over 6 months behind agreed upon completion schedule. Days and weeks went by with no one showing up on the job. Project manager was atrocious - did not understand timing sequencing of subcontractor trades to ensure steady progression of job. For much of the job, Owner had to act as project manager. Several items were omitted from contract with lame excuses for reasons. Once we got past the original sloppy framing (holes in roof line where new and existing structures meet), quality of work was reasonable but certainly not good enough to warrant the aggravation we went through to get to completion.
Description of Work: Project involved new room addition and two baths.

Overall we have a decently built house, but we had a number of issues along the way. First issues were items discussed in advance that never materialized, like zip strips in foundation to reduced basement floor cracking. Then inability of the company to work with architect without trying to place us at odds with him. Things we have PAID OTHERS to fix/complete within 3 years were SEVERE ROOF LEAK in first year, along with wall damage cause by it, Install Sump Pump as in plans agreed to, Finish grade, Build rear deck as in plans agreed to, Re-hang French doors that didn't work, Rewire faulty circuit to stove & many backwards outlets & switches, Compensate for front step poured at wrong height, Punch list items; wall cracks, etc. Crew and site manager were nice people. We feel they were overextended with larger jobs & underbid our job, so it wasn't economical for them to actually finish ours. Because they ignored many calls we don't want them back. Worth it to pay others to finish.
Description of Work: Construction of a 2400 square foot home with basement.

BUYER BEWARE!!!! ONCE THE JOB STARTED IT WAS HARD TO GET THEM TO RETURN. I WAITED 5 MONTHS WITHOUT ANY CONSISTENT FOLLOW UP. PROMISED TO RETURN SEVERAL TIMES BUT NEVER FOLLOWED THROUGH. THE FOREMAN NEVER SPOKE WITH ME ABOUT THE JOB AS REQUESTED.
Description of Work: RENOVATION PROJECT. MOVED SOME DOORS AND WINDOWS, THIS INVOLVED SOME ELECTRICAL AND PLUMBING. THERE WERE 2 OTHER PROJECTS THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO DO, PUTTING ON A 3 SEASON ROOM PORCH AND A NEW FRONT ENTRY INCLUDING ENLARGING THE HALLWAY. THEY SAID THERE WAS NO PROBLEM GETTING TO THIS, BUT HAVE NEVER GIVEN ME THE PRICING FOR THIS ADDITIONAL WORK. THEY THINK THEY ARE DONE BUT ARE NOT. THEY DISMANTLED THE ELECTRICAL AND HAVEN'T COME BACK.
