Declan called me right back after I left my message. He was very professional, prompt and straight forward. He came to look at the damage and gave me an estimate. Since the plumber was coming in on Friday, we agreed for him to start on the following Monday. He sent me a text on the weekend to remind me he was coming at 7:30am which gave me a heads up to move stuff in the Den/kitchen area. Declan came promptly at 7:30am like he said he would. Prepped the area in our Kitchen/Den by putting up a seal barrier to minimize the spread of dust in the area and fixed the ceiling, blending in the fixed area with the other unaffected areas. He fixed the drywall in the bathroom (which had gotten slightly bigger after the plumber came and ripped some more drywall to go around a 90 degree elbow). Declan also filled in some areas in the wall that previously existed but unrelated to the damage. They were finished within a few hours, taking care not to damage anything and took preventative steps to protect carpeting on our stairs going to the upstairs bathroom. They cleaned up when they were done and gave me some tips on how to minimize damage if we encounter a water leak like we had again. I would use them again and would recommend them to anyone looking for good drywall work at a reasonable price.

We needed work done immediately so that the plumber could finish his work. Declan and his partner came the next day and did an amazing job adding drywall around pipes relocated by plumber. He came on time early morning to do the job based on pics I texted to him; but realized it would take more time to complete since I also asked if he would silicone the backsplash and secure vanity to the wall. Declan said he would have to come back around noon that day, because he had another job, and did the work. We were extremely satisfied with his manner, professionalism, and excellent work and are in the process of re-hiring him to do additional work.

Declan told me it was a 1 day job. He then split one day into two days citing that he meant it "could be done in one day". When I come home after the job is completed on the second day, I find my trailer filled with all their trash. I review my security footage and see he not only tossed all the trash from the job in my trailer, but also emptied the trash from his van into it. This was not discussed and every contractor picks up after themselves unless otherwise negotiated. I ask him to come pick up his trash or money would be deducted from the bill. He comes the next day ranting, raving and cursing nonsense to the point we almost got in a fist fight on my front lawn. Whole thing is captured on video. Even his own workers are recorded saying "We told him not to leave the trash". On top of that the work was average at best.

Declan did a fabulous job. He responded promptly to my initial inquiry, provided a timely estimate that was very reasonable, and did excellent work. I could not have asked for a better outcome and experience.

Everything went great. Responded in a timely manner, did good work, great price and cleaned up well. I would use him again for sure!

They were great. Declan is so nice and responsive and they did exactly what they said they were going to do. I loved that they cleaned up so well after themselves.

Overall great experience. Declan was professional and pleasant, and the work was well-done. I had removed an old bathroom vent fan and needed to repair the existing hole, about 1 sq ft. I left a voicemail and he got back to me within a few hours. I sent him a picture of the hole, along with a few other smaller holes that needed to be repaired, and he gave me a firm, reasonable quote (both cost and approx time required). He showed up on time, and he was very pleasant from the beginning. He also pointed out a few cracks in our bathroom ceiling and repaired those for no additional cost. He was finished in 2.5 hours, about 30 minutes faster than he had quoted. I would definitely recommend Declan to anyone looking for drywall repair and/or plastering services.

My plaster ceiling in two rooms was beginning to crack and separate. Ultimately a large portion of one ceiling collapsed. I got Declan Smith's company off Angie's List. he came right out to check on work and give me an estimate for repairing some sections over a stairwell and covering existing plaster ceilings with drywall in two rooms. During the course of the work there was more unexpected collapse. Declan and his crew handled everything beautifully, moving furniture and even replacing a light on the ceiling of one room. They came exactly when they said they would (It was a two day job). They were quick and very reasonable about cost of the unplanned for extra work. I highly recommend them.

It went great. Declan always called and arrived when he said he would. He and two other professionals were able to complete the job in one day. Everyone was personable and professional. They protected the path to the room and surrounding surfaces, and sealed off the room to eliminate the spread of dust. The blueboard was up in no time. They made the much harder work seem easy -- mixing, applying, and smoothing the plaster. The inside corners along the ceiling and between the walls were clean and straight. The outside corners and walls around the windows and doorways were no less impressive. Declan took great care in the transition to the adjacent room that has drywall. I didn't find the need to sand anywhere. *Greatly* appreciated. Quality plaster work is far superior to drywall in both appearance and durability. There's just no comparison. Fine job. Period. Declan is on deck for my next plaster job.

There was a bit of scheduling difficulty, but I was notified in person which was nice. Almost forgot a spot before leaving. Good work was completed.

Responded very quickly and was able to do the work soon after providing an estimate. Made sure to keep plaster & dust out of the rest of the house & cleaned up well after himself. Would definitely hire again.

Great. Declan was able to patch a pretty rough hole in the blueboard and plaster so that it matched the current ceiling very well.

Declan was able to come by, give an estimate, and then show up and complete the work within a week. When on site, he and his assistant worked fast and kept things very clean (as clean as you can get when you're dealing with drywall). They cleaned up after themselves and were very professional.

Great! Declan called me back just minutes after I left him a message. He came by the next day to take a look and provide an estimate, and, as another job had been cancelled, he was able to do the work the following day. He did a wonderful job and patched even more places than I had pointed out to him. Highly recommend!

Called on Monday, scheduled on Wednesday to come and complete work on Friday. He went above and beyond in terms of scheduling, maintaining a clean work area, etc. Also, he smoothed over the popcorn ceiling and smoothing out the walls. This was unexpected but welcomed. Work was done quickly and cannot be more satisfied with the work done.
