Sean got a call on Saturday night after 11PM and was on site within few hours with proper equiment and crew. Within 3 hours, the asphalt was opened up, problem located aznd fixed and hole was closed up.

Sean, handled everything between notifying the city of the work, pulling permits, and coordinating with me every step of the way. As promised the very next day, Sean had a full crew at my house that flawlessly repaired my water line and put my mind back at ease. The crew arrived at 7 am and got right to work, and what I have to compliment most is on the meticulous clean up job they did by spreading new loam, and seed, and planted my flowers and shrubs.

Sean is so great to work with. He and his crew are professional, timely and do stellar work. We couldn't be happier with both projects that Sean Farrell Excavation has done for us. They kept a very safe and clean work site and the sidewalk looked ten times better after they had put it back together.

Sean and his team were fantastic. Quick response, minimal disruption, got all the necessary permits, installed the pipe efficiently and meticulously, and repaired the ground and pavement. No drama. Reasonable price. Called 3 of his references before doing the work, and all 3 said the same thing: they wish Sean did other trades as well because they wish they could hire him for everything. It is a terrific company. He called me right back when I left a message. He gave me several options for the type of work that could be done. He seemed incredibly fair. It was a situation where I could've been taken advantage of and I wasn't at all. He saved me a lot of money.

I have worked with Farrell Excavating for many years. Their work is excellent, Their staff is knowledgeable and professional. Their responsiveness in an emergency is outstanding. You couldn't ask for a better company for foundation work, water and sewer issues, anything that requires excavating. On top of all this, their pricing is extremely reasonable.

It was fantastic. The work was done meticulously and professionally. I couldn't stop watching the work in progess because of the skill and artistry. My sewer pipe ran through the area(which was not expected). James cut out the old pipe and rerouted a new pipe with no additional cost and did it expertly and efficiently. From start to finish the process was excellent. Sean was very responsive to emails and phone calls. Sean set expectations very clearly and then he did he FOLLOWED THROUGH on the job for the price agreed. Almost unheard of when dealing with contractors. Very professional.

I saw the positive reviews on Angie list and decided to get a quote from Sean Farrell excavation to replace my lateral line. All of the positive reviews were accurate. Sean got back to me quickly (same day) and provided me with an quote and adhered to it. I was in need of having my lateral sewer line replaced from my foundation to the main line in the street. Their quote included performing this work as well as replacing a concrete sidewalk along the side of my house that they had to dig up to get at the pipe and for providing the plumber to make the connection inside the house. The price was very reasonable compared to other companies and Sean was always very responsive to any phone calls. It was very easy to get a hold of him. The crew showed up on time and went straight to work and I do not think there was ever any down time. There was work going on from start to finish and they completed the pipe repair in one day. The weather was too cold to redo the concrete pathway (it was winter) and Sean told me someone would be out as soon as the temps increased. I went ahead and paid Sean in full for the services knowing the concrete still needed to be laid. Sure enough when the weather got warm in about a week he had someone out there and my path was replaced.

He said he would try to finish the job in one day and he did. The men were punctual, courteous, skilled,and generally excellent at what they do. This is the second time we have used Sean Farrell Excavation and I wouldn't hesitate to reccommend him for any street excavation. This job was very complicated and he did an excellent job.

Sean's crew excavated our steep property and poured a foundation for a new garage and parking bay, replaced the sewer line and regraded the entire property per our landscape architect's plan. The worked quickly and efficiently on our challenging site. Very professional, I would definitely use again and we are perfectly prepared for our landscaper to plant the property.

Sean and his crew were absolutely fantastic! The were able to come very quickly. They gave us what I thought was a very fair price. They did an expert job, and they even spread some grass seed when they were done. What a nice an unexpected touch!

Excellent company. They gave us the best price and did the work quickly. They replaced a sidewalk square because they had to remove it to do the work. TWO YEARS later, the sidewalk square was crumbling, and they returned and replaced it again - no issues at all. They are a great company. USE THEM!!!

Sean did a very good job to replace both main water and sewage lines on my property. He worked with city's engineering department and completed the job in just two days with minimum interruptions. The only question I have was the new main sewage line only connect to the existing cast iron pipe/fixture section from street main drain. The cast iron pipe/fixture from basement which connecting to the house drain and street line was not replaced. Sean has ensured me that the cast iron section of pipe/fixture are in good shape and not need to replaced.

First of all, I was very happy with Sean and his team. When I made initial contact he came out personally the next day (on a Saturday) to check out the job and meet with me personally. This stood out because others I called did not get back to me, or were not very responsive or dd not want to meet in person. He followed up with a quote that Monday and gave me a price that I knew was very fair given other quotes I had, and in addition he installed a much superior product and did some extra work for me to fix my current garage floor situation. He was very willing to spend follow-up time on the phone and answer questions and was very good at clearly communicating timelines and the details of the job. His guys showed up on time the day of the job and completed the work in one day (some of them were at my house for well over 12 hours). They were professional, answered any questions I had, did great work and cleaned up after themselves. I am very happy with the work that was performed and it exceeded my expectations. It will also solve a big drainage problem we have had for years, and Sean was the only contractor I met with who I felt really tried to figure out how to solve the problem (rather then just recommending a quick fix). Sean also followed up with me personally with a phone call to make sure I was happy with the work and with his crew. I would call Sean again without any reservation if I needed his help, and would highly recommend him. As a result of the work he did for me he is already speaking to a neighbor about a similar project.

We were very nervous about doing this water line replacement and Sean was a gem from the start to the finish. He responded to my initial call within an hour of my leaving a message with his main office and came out the next day to assess the job. We had several quotes and his was among the most reasonable. We decided to use him based on: 1) Excellent reviews 2) Reasonable/comparable price 3) Sean's longstanding expertise with excavation work 4) His responsiveness Sean took care of everything that needed to be done, including getting the permits with the city and arranging city to turn off/on our water. We were presented with a written estimate and signed a contract for that amount. His crew showed up right on time and were extremely professional. The city came over an hour late to shut off the water, and Sean was right on it, and communicated with me everything that was going on. They dug the minimal amount that they had to to try and pull the pipe. However, pipe removal for our property was particularly difficult to pull out, and they had to dig an additional couple of feet of trench. Most excavators that I spoke with said they would have to dig all the way to the house and bring in a plumber (at additional cost to me) if the pipe didn't come right out. But Sean's team made it work with the minimal disruption to my property and no addition cost to us (of course, if they couldn't do it they also would have had to dig everything up and bring in a plumber, but Sean let us know that slim possibility going in). They had to dig up parts of my lawn and garden beds in front of our house, but were extremely careful with the plantings and turf and replaced everything at the end, and re-loamed and re-seeded damaged lawn parts. Sean followed up the next day to make sure that we were happy with everything, and letting us know that he was available if there were any other concerns moving forward. I can't say enough how pleased we were with how everything worked out, and how glad I am that I chose Sean to do this job.

It went well from start to finish. In a period of heavy demand, Sean returned the call promptly. He sent one of his guys to look at the work to be done and gave a very accurate estimate. Today they as promised at 7am and were at work til it all got done. The team of Flavio and company were professional, courteous and thorough.

Sean Farrell showed up at our door within a half hour after I called his office, gave me an estimate, and encouraged me to seek out estimates from his competitors. We did contact some other excavators, but we ended up choosing Sean partly because his base price for the job was slightly lower than others we were quoted, partly because of his reputation, and partly because he was more confident than some other excavators that he could do the job without tearing up our front walk or front lawn and/or rerouting the plumbing inside our basement. His crew worked hard to make sure it happened, saving us a lot of money and mess. The whole process took three or four hours total. My only quibble is that they did a poor job reconnecting the electrical ground wire to the new pipe. Granted, they're not electricians, but they should know how to do this properly, as I'm sure they have to do it on most water line replacement jobs. No big deal in our case--I went out and bought a $6 ground clamp and did that part of the job myself. All in all, the job went as well as I could have hoped.

Sean's crew were on time, and very professional. I was told how the repair would be done and what to expect. They had to dig down eight feet with a stone wall and a beautiful tree in the way. The wall went untouched and the tree was saved. I told my grandchildren the tree had to be taken down earlier that morning and they were upset because every spring birds nest in the tree. I highly recommend Sean Farrell Excavation for sewer pipe replacement. After having sewage back up into my basement 3 times in the past year because of tree roots in the pipe where the 4 inch pipe meets the 6 inch pipe, I decided to have the whole pipe replaced. I contacted Sean on the recommendation of the person I hired to do a video inspection of my sewer line (side note: that was money VERY well spent and I wish I had done it earlier). Sean called me back immediately, quoted me a great price, and gave me a time frame of when his guys would be out to do the work the following week. He even said that if the drain backed up again to call him immediately even if it was in the middle of the night. Considering that I have had some horrible experiences with contractors, to have someone tell me to call anytime day or night if there is a problem is just amazing. They ended up having an opening earlier than expected, so the work was actually completed ahead of schedule. Keith and JJ came out on the scheduled day, arrived early, and had everything set up and ready to go at the designated start time. They got right to work, didn't take any breaks, and got the job finished in about 2 hours. They were polite, showed me what was being replaced and explained the repairs. I am an involved homeowner, I like to see what is being done, even if it's a huge hole in my front yard and a broken sewer pipe. I have had previous contractors be very condescending because I am a woman and look younger than my age, and talk to me as if I couldn't possibly understand the work they were doing. I was incredibly impressed Keith and JJ, the way you treat your customers is just as important as the work you do, and they were phenomenal. I really can't say enough good things about them, I wish I could hire them for all my construction projects. And although they "promised" to disturb my front lawn as little as possible, I actually asked them to tear the whole thing up so I could reseed the grass. So now I have a brand new pipe, no sewer backups, and a beautiful front lawn. THANKS!!!

I called 3 places for quotes on regraveling my driveway. Sean Farrell is the only one who answered his own phone on my first call, and told me he'd be out to see it the next day, and was there precisely on time. My driveway is like a road, over 500 ft long, it crosses my 1 acre property, it was last regraveled about 15 years ago and it was a mess. Sean told me that he'd level it, tear up the overgrown areas and pave it with the gravel that I chose. He even suggested that to reduce my cost I could order the gravel myself and have it delivered and then he wouldn't need to charge me for his larger truck. I did that and my total cost for the driveway was about $2700. The other quotes I got (including gravel and delivery) were $4000 and over. Sean told me when he could do it, called me the night before and his employee was there by 700am. I left my house at 6am and returned at 4pm to find this beautiful, smooth, level driveway that greatly enhanced my home. After Sean had given me a quote I asked if he could add a third parking space on a fairly level area where I gathered yard waste but didn't landscape it. Not only did he add the space, he added footage by leveling out the old trees, etc that were there. And he rimmed it with a tree trunk that had fallen in my yard. It is beautiful! And prior to Sean saving that space it was an eyesore. My son was home the day this was done and he talked with Sean's employee and found him to be polite, professional and a pleasure to talk to. My son also said he never stopped working from the time he arrived until he left. There was absolutely no mess left behind, you would have thought that this beautiful driveway had always been there. Also, it has since rained heavily and there's no drainage problem at all, the runoff is perfect. .When Sean came to give me a quote I told him I almost didn't call him because his website seemed to indicate that he did very heavy construction work and I thought my job was too small. His reply, "I started out small and I don't forget." I highly recommend Sean Farrell Excavation!
