I was quite satisfied with their work. They were very responsive and they came out very quickly. They did the work while I was away and they took the time to clean up after themselves.

I was closing on a new house and noticed during the walk through that the floors were really scratched up. I was supposed to move in a few days later and had to get the floors done quickly. I sent Phil an email through Angie's List around midnight that evening and by 9am the next morning I had both a voicemail and an email from his company. He came out that night (Tuesday) to give me an estimate and started work on Thursday morning. They sanded, sealed, and did the first coat of poly on Thursday, then came back and did the second coat of poly on Friday. They were on time both days and there was barely any dust from the sanding. After the second coat was done I noticed 2 spots that had ripples in the poly, probably because of my floors not being totally even (they are well over 50 years old, possibly closer to 100, and have a slight slant). I told Phil about it and he said he would fix it as soon as the poly was dry. He came over a few days later and got to work scraping and refinishing the two spots. One came out perfect, but the other wasn't able to be easily fixed, so he decided to buff and recoat the entire floor. It delayed my move by a few days, but he did an excellent job and I'm so glad that he cared enough about his work to make sure it was done right and to my satisfaction. I would definitely hire him again. He is so nice and really very pleasant to work with. Everyone that comes over comments on my floors and says how nice they are.

gave a prompt price when he came over, was two hundred less than the gentleman before. We set up a date I could spend a night at my sisters for (it really does have a strong "odor" from the oil based finish) as you need to not walk on floors for a day or two. set up a date a week later. Prompt, I worked upstairs while they sanded (They put up a cellophone type barrier on all rooms adjacent and the staircase in case there was any residue dust. He uses a dustless form of sanding, and the dust that WAS there was minimal.I left as they did the first coat of polyurethane/varnish. Came and checked on it from another room the next day and was very impressed. I was back in the house 2 days later. Note: using my air conditioner really helped the varnish ...it has been so humid outside it can take longer for the "stickiness" to subside. He came back a day or so later and I paid him, and we set up a date for him to come back and do another rooms floor in a few weeks. Very polite and answers ?'s. My son scratched it! moving furniture (put protectors on the feet of furniture and lift the furniture...don't push it like my son did originally) and Phil said he would try and fix it when he was back. He also gave me $60 off the price for using Angies list ---tell them you got their name here. I am leery of leaving a house key with ANYONE, but had no way of locking the house up after they left, or letting them in the next day.....I was impressed with them while they sanded the floor (and I was upstairs) and Phil left the key on the counter with a note that he would be over in a few days for the $ once he finished. My kids did come by to check on the house and it was locked up each night. I sensed he was reliable from the start, and I had to go by my gut on this. Proved right.

Phil came over and gave us an estimate and answered all of our questions. Because we would not be able to use the stairs for at least 2 days and due to our having a toddler in the house he advised us to be out of the house during the work. Phil and his team showed up the morning we were leaving on vacation, we gave him a key and he and his team went to work. When we returned from vacation the stairs were beautiful, there was no dust anywhere and the house was exactly as we left it. Phil called the day after we returned to check if we were satisfied, which we were. Phil was prompt, courteous and a thoroughly honest professional. Not only will I hire Phil again but I no longer feel the need to shop around for floor work, I will just call him.

Phil came when scheduled for an estimate. He inspected the job carefully--his one concern was whether he would be able to salvage the balusters on the stairs and so he provided an estimate both if he could and if he couldn't. He was able to save them. All the work was done in a very professional manner with minimum disruption and he made every effort to contain the dust, etc. When it came time for him to put on the 2nd coat he accommodated us by changing the day he was scheduled to do it so that he would do it when we went away for the weekend. I would strongly recommend Phil to anyone who is having a floor installed.

They were very quick to return my call. He was very knowledgeable about the product. He was willing to change when we changed our mind; he was accepting to that. He had a nice crew that was clean. They did the whole thing in a day.

Phil showed up promptly for the estimate. He examined the subfloor in detail, and answered all my questions completely. Other contractors had told me it could not be done, but did not test the floor completely. Phil did, and explained exactly why he would be able to install the floor. (The subfloor had some sound-proofing over what I thought was concrete, and Phil determined was plywood.) He also provided a written estimate. Once hired, he showed up when he said he would and did a fine job. He finished the job in a timely manner, and it looks beautiful. He also left the place very clean. Through the entire process he was very polite and professional.

Phil was very professional and gave me a good, detailed estimate. His communication was great as we planned for him to get into the house minutes after our closing. The floors are really magnificent. I couldn't believe all the detail work they did by hand to get ready to finish them. There was a small hiccup in the timing, but they finished on time anyway. They will be coming back to refinish the floor we just uncovered in the kitchen under two layers of vinyl!

Work was so awesome. My realtor, who arranged my purchase of the house, took the contact information for Phil's Flooring Service, so she could use him and recommend him to other clients. All work was done on schedule, with frequent updates to me. I almost wish I had more floors to finish :).

These guys are great. I called Phil on a Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m., and he was there to give an estimate at 4:00 p.m. We booked a date about 10 days out, and he was there with his two co-workers at 8:00 a.m. sharp. The team was well organized, extremely clean and efficient. They hang plastic sheets over doors and install venting fans in windows before starting and also plug up gaps in flooring before sanding and varnishing. Didn't want to be paid until they had completed the job - a pleasure to work with and would have them back again without reservation - unbelievable work ethic.

Phil and Ha were absolutely the most professional and accommodating people I could ever have imagined working with. We were trying to renovate our kitchen while fitting in time for Phil to come look at and then do the refinishing job on our upstairs floors and staircase. Often, we had to reschedule work and cancel appointments last minute, which wasn't fair to them at all, yet still they never failed to accommodate us. When we finally were ready for them to come do the job, Phil and his crew were on time, finished the job quickly, and made some very sickly pine wood floors look absolutely incredible. We were blown away!

Phil and his crew were phenomenal. He was courteous, nice, and took great care in his work. The price he gave us was excellent compared to other companies, and he did a truly beautiful job. After the floors were finished everything was clean and shiny, and there was very little dust anywhere (unlike when I had a different company do my upstairs floors last year). Call Phil and have him give you an estimate - it will be well worth your time!!
