He was a wonderful guy, was very thorough, and pointed out things that needed to be done.

It went great! We have used Johnny for our condo in the city a few years ago so I jumped at the chance for this Angie's List deal. Johnny did an excellent job with the bathroom!

Jose was so helpful! He filled in he holes in my wall from nails where pictures had hung without me asking. He moved some furniture out of the way and removed the stair railing for accurate painting job. Jose was neat and polite; carefully painted walls; did a great job. John returned to help him finish up and inspect the job. I have now asked them for an estimate to have my kitchen wallpaper removed and walls painted. Pending response.

The experience was pretty good. There were 2 painters and it took them probably 6 hours to paint all that. They also vacuumed. It was a big deal purchase. They charged more because they ended up doing one other work. It was the ceiling as well. The quality was good.

He was very pleasant on the phone. I told him our wallpaper removal person could not do the job, so I asked if he removed wallpaper as well. He said he did, so we asked him for an estimate. He came by on Feb. 22 and my husband asked for an estimate on both bedrooms. He looked the rooms over, checked to see how "stuck" the wallpaper was, then said he would email an estimate. When we got the estimate, it was much more than we had planned for;and so, I thanked him and told him it was too much for us. That was it.

As has been noted in other reviews, played a bit of phone/email tag with Johnny (some of that my fault), but he was flexible and able to schedule the work on a date/time that fit into my schedule and ultimately with little notice. The walls look good. During the painting he called me up to ask about the trim, did I want him to overlap onto the trim because there were places where some of the old color was on the trim and I could end up with 3 colors showing if he didn't. In retrospect, I wish I had told him no and asked for a clean line along the trim and I could have sorted out the trim later. In particular, the baseboards were pretty much ok bcs I had just painted them. I'm very glad I asked for a straight line at the ceiling. I now have a major job of going back and repainting all the trim in the room. The good news is that I hate the color I chose, so I'll be painting the room again myself (I don't like to paint), so I can fix both at the same time. The wall paint job itself turned out fine. He cleaned up after himself. I did notice a gouge and scrape in the plaster wall at the top of the stairs after he left. I'm guessing he hit it with his stepladder on the way down. I'm waffling as to whether or not I would hire him again...if I did I would insist on clean lines at the trim edge or pay him extra to do the trim.

Great. Johnny was very neat and professional. My walls look great he was efficient and pleasant. I am going to have him come back to to my ceilings and trim. I went out to do some errands while he painted the kitchen and felt totally comfortable.

The work was done promptly and neatly, took little time, and the result was perfect.

There was a leak in the unit above me that I thought had been fixed, so i was going to get the plaster repaired. Then a week before our appointment, new leaks started showing up, so I had to cancel the work. I did speak to Johnny on the phone and he was very courteous to me and professional. I would have had him do the work, however since the new leaks showed up I didnt want to fix anything yet.

It didn't go anywhere...we never received his estimate.

Johnny Kelly and his team of painters did a superb job painting our house. He did everything he said he would do including scraping, priming, power washing, and covering many spots with extra coats. He also watched the weather conditions and timed things so the paint would dry in optimal conditions. They showed up on time everyday. They left after a full day and cleaned up all the debris each afternoon. We couldnt be happier with the professionalism of Johnny and all his workers. We recommend him with the highest confidence to anyone looking to have their home painted.

For at least the 12th time, these idiots never performed the service. You refunded my money. Ever time i contacted them they said thet wanted to wait till they had other business in the area. They never had any interest in performing the service. Please quit sending me review requests or I'm going to think that your as incompetent and disinterested as Johnny's Drywall.

He did a great job, he repaired a hole that had to be made to have access from our linen closet to the back of the shower, if you didn't know it had recently been a hole you never would have known, as he did such a great job, he also repaired a bedroom wall that had minimal damage due to kids and furniture, he did a great job, was very reasonable, punctual, and respectful

Johnny was somewhat difficult to get in touch with. Once in touch it was able to have him come out and estimate and set a date. They came and were prompt and very clean. They shut off the areas they were not working in and kept it very clean. The paint job was wonderful. I would certainly use them again.

The completed work was fine and as expected. The patches have held well. The gentleman seemed experienced and knowledgeable and very capable. The gentleman did not spend 4 hours in my home, as per the Angies list coupon. My impression was that appointments were stacked and quite frankly, that he worked with haste to finish the job list as quickly as possible. Communication was awkward. While the worker was polite etc, I felt he either didn't have a grasp of the English language in order to properly communicate with his customer or that he was on such a tight schedule, that he chose to limit his conversations.

They were on time and did great work.

It went great. We used it about a month later. He worked efficiently and did a wonderful job. Everything was great. The price was great. He suggested things that we could do. He went around the house and made some suggestions. I would use them again.

It was very tough getting Johnny to respond. Initially I asked him if he even wanted the job when I did not hear back from him. Again, I had to stay on him about the start date. In the end it was just 2 days notice. The job started on a Friday and at 4:00 I got a call asking if I needed to sleep in my bedroom for the weekend. I chose to sleep on the coach since the spare bedroom was full of furniture. On Saturday I got a call at 12:00 that I needed to buy more ceiling paint. On Sunday, I decided to shake out the drop clothes in the bedroom so that no extra mess would be tracked through the house. Much to my surprise the drop cloths on my hardwood floor were wet from the stripping of the wall paper and I also found a wet rag under a drop cloth. Immediately they were removed from the floor and I put down my own clean dry drop clothes. The bedroom walls came out great as well as the new hallway ceiling and the kitchen ceiling. After a week the bathroom ceiling and walls started to peel. The walls in the bathroom were never patched and looked bad even before the peeling. Within 2 weeks they looked diseased. Johnny came by and checked out the situation. He agreed to redo the walls and as compensation paint the inside of the bathroom door, the door trim and the trim around the bathroom window. He said the reason for the peeling was because of moisture so not to shower for 24 hours. When I did use the shower the next evening I kept the door open just to be 100% certain all was dry. It was not long before the peeling came back. I asked Johnny about texture and he thought maybe that would work. I hired Bertie (FANTASTIC) to texture the ceiling and patch up the walls. Bertie did such a superb job and the clean up was absolutely impeccable. Brought him back to sand the walls and put in a new ceiling fan, hoping that would also help resolve the problem even though the ceiling had never peeled previously. Again, the clean up was superb. Rather than try to bring Johnny back for a 3rd time I hired a painter I ran into at the grocery store. He was able to explain to me immediately that the wrong paint had been used on the ceiling causing the moisture to travel down the walls. I returned to the paint store and this time bought bathroom ceiling paint. It has been 4 plus weeks and the bathroom looks great since the walls and ceiling were painted the 3rd time costing me over $500.00 additional dollars. Again, the cleanup was phenomenal.

We purchased a home in January that needed a complete overhaul to it. We interviewed many different paint and drywall contractors before deciding on Johnny. He was the first to show up, his bid was competitive, he was able to start within 2 weeks, and he seemed like a nice and honest person so we went with him. We could not have been happier! Johnny saved the house. We needed extensive drywall and ceiling repair, new walls and new ceilings built, and every square inch of the house painted. He and his team were professional and thorough. My wife and I joke that Johnny never says no to anything we asked, even if it was difficult or redoing something we had already approved or instructed a different way. He always came in on or below budget for us. We were so happy with the work that they did on the inside that we hired them to paint and repair the entire outside as well. In all Johnny has done more than $25,000 in project work for us and each project far exceeded our expectations. We have very high standards and everything had to be perfect?..he did it. I not only wanted to write to suggest Johnny, but I feel the need to defend him against some of the reviews. He is one of the nicest and hardest working contractors we have ever worked with. He worked 6 days a week when we needed him to complete the inside for us to move in on time. Like all painters he does try to line up multiple jobs and works on some of the inside jobs when it?s raining, outside jobs when it?s nice (everyone needs to pay the bills?), so at times you may need to wait a day or 2 for him to be able to complete the job. This never bothered us because we knew it would be done perfect and at a good price. Be patient?the end result is well worth it. The quality of his work is superior to other painters we have used. Can?t recommend Johnny and his team enough. A++!

,Johnny and his crew arrived early every morning, working diligently and fast, scraping old paint from my house and garage that were in dire need of a facelift. Before leaving when the job was completed, Johnny walked around the house with me to make sure everything met with my satisfaction. The house and garage look beautiful and I am very pleased with the professional work.

I was very pleased with the estimate, which was a lot fairer than some. I had 3 more and his was the best.
