Description of Work: Johnny repaired approx. 5 holes in my wall from a broken pipe, including painting the areas to blend with the rest of the wall. He did an excellent job and I would recommend him for future work. I only had two minor issues with his company: (1) he is not set up to accept debit/credit card payments so it is cash or check only, and (2) I only received a two line email from the company confirming receipt of my cash payment. I expected something a little more formal for tax purposes. Otherwise, I was very happy and would use him again.

Description of Work: It took from July to January to get a date set because he was always busy. I had to pay him extra for the bathroom trim ( two doors and one window) because he said that he was only supposed to do walls. The DEAL was for one room! The walls were not prepared for smoothness before the painting but a primer was used. He accidently caused a toilet leak that went downstairs into the kitchen and caused a stain on the newly painted kitchen ceiling! He fixed the leak but I had to fix the ceiling stain. He was a nice man and did an OK job painting and he did clean up afterwards, although I did have to cover over a few areas that needed another coat. All in all this DEAL was no deal. The deals need to be written with the specifics so clients are not charged more. This is the third DEAL where I was charged more after the person came to the house. I don't blame the vendors but it is a problem with Angie's List wording of promotions.

Description of Work: Needed to use Angie's list's intermediary to get the work done and even after 3 tries the paint job was not completed. Decided to call it a draw. Will hire someone else to paint this area.

Description of Work: Johnny was pleasant and helpful. The plastering job in the bathroom, |however, had some sloppy places which were difficult to correct when |I sandpapered the wall to prep for painting.

Description of Work: They painted a set of staircase railing balusters and newel posts on first visit. I asked John Kelly back to paint a family room, walls and ceiling. Both jobs were accomplished with minimal inconvenience, mess or drama (unlike a previous painting experience with a different contractor) and I felt the cost was fair and the work exhibited high quality, professionalism and I was more than satisfied. John Kelly was a great find on Angie's List.

Description of Work: I purchased a deal for $99 to paint one room from Johnny's Painting. We went back and forth a few times trying get a date. Johnny was not very responsive. In fairness, I was away for a week but I had to continue to call him for a date and finally had Angie's list contact him. After that, he called and scheduled a time. He came a bit later than he said he would but once he got here he went right to work. We paid him extra to do the trim and closet of the room. It came out nice. He was very neat. There were a few drip spots and a few places on the trim I had to add another coat but overall it was a fine job.

Description of Work: Johnny's Drywall and Painting painted a bedroom for me yesterday. This was one of the special deals offered on Angie's List. One room painted for $99. He was very good about contacting me and arranging a time that was convenient for me. He was very polite, showed up on time and did the work amazingly quickly. It was not the most precise painting job but I was satisfied with it considering the very low cost. It saved me from doing the job myself. I may or may not hire him again depending on the room I want painted-the amount of prep work needed and the precision of the paint job that I'd like.
