Johnnys Painting & Drywall Service

I found Johnny's painting through the Angie's List big deal coupon. I paid $99.00 for a coupon worth 4 man hours of service and an additional $150.00 on top of that for the whole job. I contacted Johnny by phone and had him come out for an estimate. After the estimate, it took several phone calls to Johnny to nail down an exact service date and time. Once scheduled, Johnny arrived on time with 1 other worker and quickly began working. They used primer and paint that I provided (per Johnny's request). They did a good job painting the ceiling. They put tarps down to protect the floors and touched up spots on the walls where some paint dripped. They cleaned up after themselves and made sure that the room was left the way they found it. The ceiling looks great.

He is fantastic. I had used him previously to paint the entire first floor of my home when I moved in. He was able to come back this time. He always responds within a matter of a couple of days. He is able to fit me in the last minute. He is able to double check with what I need for the paint. He leaves everything pristine. He does a great job with the quality of the work. His price is average. He is friendly, professional, and punctual. He cleans up well after the job.

Excellent experience from start to finish. John was courteous, professional and reasonable in his price. The quality of the work was excellent as well as the speed of execution. He also did a small side of the garage wall at no extra charge. I would recommend him highly.

My plumber had had to cut into the drywall in the kitchen, so I had Johnny patch it up and paint it over. I used the special deal from Angie?s List, so I was very pleased with that. My experience with him was consistent with what I had read in the other reviews. He did very good work, and I was happy with it. He was here on time and worked with me on my terms. It was just a little difficult to schedule at first, but that was because he was busy and then I was busy; there was no urgency, so that was not his problem. I was very pleased with the cleanup and all of that. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

The good thing was that he listened to me. He wanted to first come and give me an estimate. I told him that the job was too small to make two trips to my house. I asked him to just come and do the work. He did a good job. I rate him high overall. I will definitely use him in the future if necessary.

The workers from Johnnys Painting & Drywall Service Company did a decent job. They came for the work as scheduled. They announced when they were here. They did what they supposed to do efficiently. They were reliable. I had no problems with them. I would definitely recommend them. I would use them again in the future if required.

He responded right away when I first called, gave me an estimate within 2 days and set up the work very quickly there-after. He was on time, he showed up when he said he would, he called if he had a question during the job and he cleaned up pretty well afterward. His price was much better than the prior estimate and I thought it to be very fair. Johnny did a great job and I would highly recommend him to anyone

All around this couldn't have been a better experience. He came quickly to look at the job and gave me a quote the next day. Johnny was flexible, working around work done by a carpenter. He offered suggestions, that were often better than the ideas I had, and was terrific to work with.

Bertie Walsh and the others were punctual, courteous and helpful. They arrived on time, worked eight or nine hours a day, ate lunch while working. Bertie fixed a section of ceiling in the hallway going to the third floor on his own, without charge. He explained everything he was doing and how longit would take the plaster to fully dry and why (app. five days, because my house is pretty dry). It took four days to complete the job, just what he said it would. They didn't run off to other jobs, and they worked around my needs. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Johnny was terrific to work with and a true professional throughout. He would ask for input if there was a decision point (i.e. initially we hadn't planned to replace the insulation, but upon removing the drywall it was clear the mold had gotten into the insulation as well) and the finished result was gorgeous. Our basement is used primarily for storage and before the work could begin, he and his team moved several units of shelving and put everything back in its place at the end of the project.

The house was completed in 2 and one half days. Good. Negative the job was rushed and i never felt like they were doing anything carefully. they did the job just to do the job. No tlc. they did not clean up until i asked them if they were going to clean the floors at the very least. (then they swept and used my vacume) They left all my cloths from the inside of the closets out on my beds. They left dripping paint on my windows also. They were quick as promissed but if i were going to live there(i rent) i would have given them a hard time.

Extremely well. They were fast, the quality was excellent and they did not haggle when asked to touch up some areas that we had damaged along the way. First rate!

We are very pleased with the work Johnny did. The only small niggle was that after letting me know he was running 3-4 weeks behind schedule, and giving me an approximate start date, I heard nothing more until I contacted him 2-3 weeks after that date.

Johnny was very professional in his work. Attention was paid to detail, and the paint looked very nice once completed. He worked with me to make sure I got the colors I wanted, and made sure I was satisfied with the job. Will use again if I have painting needs.

Absolutely Perfect. I would hire these guys back in a second. All work was completed in 2 days as promised caused minimal disruption to the house. Other quotes had come in at 6-7 days. Wife even changed mind on kitchen back splash wall color. Johnny and his guys painted the wall over again with out a problem. I know who i'm calling for my next paint job. Johnny called me several times in response to a phone call I placed. He came by the same day that we established contact and sent me an estimate the next day by email. He was very professional and gave a very reasonable estimate.

While looking for quotes to get our decks stained, I became frustrated with contractors who did not get back to us, would not service our area, or estimates that were way above our budget. Johnny was able to meet with us on a Saturday to give us an estimate, which my husband and I both felt was reasonable. Johnny was great about communicating exactly what areas were to be done and helping to pick out the stain color. He even called back to make sure I had not changed my mind before he bought the color at the hardware store. The work done was very thorough and everything was cleaned up. Johnny followed up with us to make sure everything was done as expected. We are very happy with the results and are looking forward to using our decks this summer!

Johnny and crew are AWESOME. We can't say enough good things about them. They are amazing and could probably charge more than they do. We bought a condo that is ~100 years old, and it looked it. Damaged walls and doors, cracked ceilings, beat up banister, and trim throughout the house that was in bad shape and severely over-painted. Johnny (and his ceiling guy also named Johnny) came out for an estimate. We were a bit wary because he was agreeable to everything we asked and essentially said he could fix it all, no problem. The house was so beat up, we didn't understand how he could be so 'no problem' with everything. But, he's a nice guy and his reviews were good so we went with him. We received a few estimates on the job, ranging from a little cheaper than Johnny, to twice the price of Johnny from a company that specializes in restoring old homes. We couldn't afford the restoration company, so we figured we would be getting a sub-par but pretty good job from Johnny. However, it is amazing. The ceilings were put on quickly and look perfect. The drywall in the closets is perfect. Both of these jobs were done in less than 3 days by the other Johnny and his crew. Then, Johnny and his crew (Victor and Jose) spent just over 3 solid weeks sanding down the old trim, repairing and patching everything on doors, trim, walls, stairs, etc. Then they painted everything and it looks phenomenal. Crisp edges, no mistakes. They even found a matching stain for a 'faux wood' trim and touched it up and it matches perfectly. A few times, we noticed some small things (a few roller marks on the ceiling, for example). When we mentioned it to Johnny, he immediately agreed and had it fixed. Anything we saw, he fixed. And, when they were almost done, they did a walk through to find any areas that needed touching up/fixing. He also asked us to go through the house and mark anything we felt needed fixing or that they may have missed. After they finished, we had the floors redone. There was some minor damage to the trim, and Johnny came back to touch it up (spent about 1/2 day). Additionally, throughout the whole job, Johnny showed he was actually thinking about our house, and not just doing the job. He would make suggestions (How about a shelf and new rod in the closet? Did we want to get new switchplates?) and did additional odds and ends as needed. The crew cleaned up well, and were all very pleasant to work with. We could go on and on. Our only critique is that he's a bit informal. He didn't provide a contract and wasn't very formal throughout the process. For us, this was fine and we trusted him and everything worked out great. But some people may not like that, so you should know that Johnny's awesome work is a bit on the informal side. That said, he's so agreeable and nice, I think he would provide a contract and could be more formal if you request this. But again: can't recommend him enough. Thank you Johnny & Co. !!!

Johnny's team does a fantastic job, return business guaranteed!

I liked them. The painting couldn?t be done easily because of the weather. The work is still incomplete. He also had to fix a drain pipe. He would come over and do it when the weather gets better. They were very good and were the best in terms of price. He finished everything but one door. He had actually done in but it got ruined by the rain. We got in touch with him recently, and he said as soon as we don?t have low temperatures for several days he would come over and finish the job. He was very kind and very available when I had questions. The people who worked with him were very good too. If they didn?t know something they always referred me to him. The house looks great now.

Johnny did the work in April 2009 and we were very happy with him. I don't remember the cost of the project. The work went fine and we didn't have any problems at all. He came in on a weekend so that we didn't have to be disturbed.

The work is yet to be completed. They came out quickly and gave me an estimate. Their prices were good.
