I had Tady out because I had an issue with my electric heat (baseboard heater or thermostat?). He was very responsive and there the next day. I was looking for a determination of what I needed and an estimate. Upon arrival, we spoke of my issue, and options were talked about and it was decided to start by replacing the thermostat. I asked about replacing my old (already hard-wired) smoke detectors as well. He spoke about upgrading to include two smoke alarms that were also CO detectors. Since he had a two-hour minimum, he said, it made sense to do this. He stated parts cost approximately $95-$150 each ($400-$500 total). To save money, I went with one regular vs. combo alarm). He replaced the three alarms and one thermostat in no time. He charged me $1,000 (bill written as $300 each for 2 CO/smoke alarms, $250 for one regular smoke alarm, and $150 for the thermostat). After he left, I took the boxes left behind and googled the prices of the parts. I was shocked!! I found a thermostat for $12.99. Smoke alarms and smoke/CO detectors for $22-$45. I could have bought all parts for $120 total. I had trusted him (quite friendly and knowledgeable) and realized he lied to me. It turns out he got over $400 an hour for his labor and I got taken While he was there, he also decided to inspect my panel. He educated me on it and recommended a replacement. I appreciated the information. Later, he called and left a message, to call him. He said he spoke to the wire inspector. I was like, why? He claims he should not have done the work he did. (He only replaced parts. No new wiring.) I made a very costly mistake. I TRUSTED Tady and he let me down. Beware!!! I am an older woman and was too gullible about what he was saying about things cost. I feel like a fool. His hourly rate was never clarified. I have no issue with his expertise, but a HUGE issue with his trustworthiness. Despite cooler weather, the thermostat has yet to kick on automatically either.

Tady came when he was scheduled and did a fantastic job. This house was built in 1870 and over the years the electric was redone by not so good electricians. He fixed safety issues and did some extra things for me that I didn't even ask for, but safety wise needed to be done. He also did last minute requests that I greatly appreciated. A total pro that takes into account not only safety, but your budget. He is my electrician forever

Tady is a pleasure to work with. He comes on time, completes the work quickly, really knows the electrical business. O will hire him again should I need more electrical work. A very fair businessman.
