Purchased deal in May. Emailed when didn't receive contact. Its July 15th and I have yet to hear from company.

Company set appointment for 2:00 Pm at my new house. called at 1:45 to say he'd be 30-40 minutes late. I waited for 25 minutes AFTER the end of his estimated arrival time, and did not hear from him. I called on my way home, and was told he was only 5 minutes away. I told him I did not work with companies who can't keep a schedule. I now nothing about the quality of Boston Gutters work. Not being able to keep a scheduled appointment, and not even having the courtesy to call when you are running late after you had already extended your arrival time, gives me the impression that this is not a company you would be happy doing business with!

I had a mediocre experience with this provider. I ordered a coupon on Angie's List and used Angie's List to suggest dates for the service. I never received a response. Second attempt: I used Angie's List again to suggest dates. The provider responded this time requesting I call to schedule. I did so and had a pleasant and professional conversation, scheduling the work for a Saturday. This interaction was positive and made me feel confident in the provider. Fast forward to a random Friday when the provider calls and says they are 20 minutes away. If I were available, this would have been fine but it didn't work for me and so I requested to maintain the original date. This interaction was weird and made me feel like I was dealing with a disorganized provider. Original scheduled date arrives and the provider was supposed to come between 9 and 11am. The provided did not show. I called and left a message asking for an update. I did not receive a call back and so I assumed the provider forgot about the appointment and that I would need to reschedule. Hours later the provider shows up without warning. I mentioned that they were very late and received no apology and a a terse explanation of "we had other jobs". My guess is that they did forget about the appointment, received my voicemail, and then showed up to avoid a total blunder. Upon arrival, the provider did not explain the service or describe what they would be doing. They did not acknowledge the coupon or any of the items included in the cost of the coupon. They asked some general questions about the gutters (which I couldn't answer since I know nothing about gutters) and then they began work. The work required 15 minutes of time (yet cost $125) and I did not receive any information about what was accomplished. They could have done nothing and I would never know. I also did not receive any information on a number of services that should have been included with the coupon. For example, I was supposed to get a roof inspection with photos and the tune up should include caulking of joints. I did not get either of these nor did I receive a reason why without prompting. I asked about the caulking and was told simply I didn't need it. I got the impression that the work was rushed and that the provider just wanted to be done. I also got the impression that the majority of the work included in the coupon was just not done. Two positive notes. One, I requested that a bird's nest be removed and the workers did take care of this for us, despite not being required to do that and having already put the ladders away. That was nice of them to do. It was also nice that they came on a Saturday (although, I would have preferred a good experience to weekend service). Overall, the provider seemed disinterested, disorganized, and rushed. Moreover, because of the lack of communication and lack of evidence for the work, I feel like I didn't get what I paid for. I guess I could have asked more questions or pressed for evidence of what they did, but that should be part of the service. Now I also have to write a humdrum review which is also not something that I like or want to do. Bummer!

It was okay. I had to pay something extra on top of that. There was a promotion like 250 off and then they still like to make some money and that's okay.

I took advantage of an Angie's List "Premium Gutter Tune-up, cleaning" offer from this contractor that included "inspection report along with before and after photos." They appear to have done a fine job cleaning the gutters, but I saw no signs of any of the "premium" aspects listed in the offer such as "sealing and caulking of gutters" and "tightening of gutters and downspouts." The gave me a verbal evaluation on the spot but no photos which every gutter cleaner I have ever used has always done. Their main recommendation being I replace the 5" inch gutters on the front of my house with 6" gutters. I have lived in this house over 20 years and never had a problem with these gutters. I contacted them through Angie's List to ask if I was going to receive a report with photos and their response only reiterated what they had verbally told me. I typically pay $200 for a plain old gutter cleaning, so I paid $275 for a plain old cleaning with this offer. My advice: don't make offers you're not prepared to follow through on.

Overall the quality of their work is good. First, I got a confirmation e-mail from them and asked me to call them. (I really don't know why Angie's list website asks you to choose three available time after you purchase the deal since your time doesn't work for those contractors at all! Don't bother to do that, just call them!) And then I called them at our convenience to schedule the appointment at 4 pm on Thursday. I waited for them until 5:15pm on that day, and they didn't show up, so I left home. Around 6 pm, I got a voice message from them that told me that the work was done. They cleaned my gutter, fixed some loose parts. No complaint for that. However, they broke my newly bought water wand and didn't say anything. It's not a lot of money, but at least if you broke it, you should say something and let the owner know. I called them and left a voice message, but never heard anything back from them. So, if you want to use their service, make sure that you're at home. Update: Chris from Boston Gutters LLC just called me during the weekend. He apologized and paid for a new water wand. I really appreciate his quick response, and I would like to continue to use their service in the future.

I ordered the service via Angie's List. I got a confirmation e-mail from Chris from Boston Gutters stating that they received our information and order, and to call them at our convenience to schedule the appointment. I called, spoke to Chris, and once he saw the address he said he couldn't get anyone out for a long time. Then he asked if I was just getting the service or wanted new work. I said I also wanted a quote for new gutters (new installation) for a section that didn't have gutters. He waffled for a while, told me he did have a job even farther away (1 hr) than my town (48 min away), but finally said, "It's not worth a hundred bucks to go out there." I asked him if he really wasn't going to honor his agreement for the service after I already paid and received an e-mail from him to schedule it. But he said that's an automated e-mail from Angie's List and that I should take it up with them to get a refund. I would say that the advertised price was fair, but considering I spent time on this and never received anything other than added work to try to get a refund, it's no value at all to do business with Boston Gutters. STAY AWAY! This also makes me question how much vetting Angie's List really does for these vendors. I got this targeted advertisement at least 4 times before finally responding, and this was the result.

They were always responsive to my emails; very friendly on the phone. We didn't have to be home when they came to do the service, and they cleaned up everything. They did a great job, and I would highly recommend them.

We had to reschedule a few times due to the weather, but Chris was prompt and thorough in communicating about schedule. The test of caulking etc will be when we have a heavy rain! I have many oak trees that produce debris almost all year so I will definitely plan on twice a year cleaning with Boston Gutters going forward. Thank you!

The company finished the Gutter Inspection Deal I purchased in March. The gutter inspection went as expected This Deal includes a $250.00 credit toward future project. The workers had suggested adding flushing and changing down spout as a new project, and I received this new quote in writing before they started the job. This work was done by the end of the day. Unfortunately, the worker refused to accept the $250 credit as described in the Deal Voucher. I had to pay them in full as the worker insisted. Angie's list has offered support to me the next day, and asked this company to refund me $250 as the Deal indicated. When my husband called, this company still refuse to accept the $250 credit and the manager Chris said only 1 sentence in the entire conversation" you are not getting any refund" in a rude way before he hung up the phone on my husband. I called and talked with the owner. They do not service my area. They concentrate in the Metro Boston area.

They helped me on a quick 1 day turnaround. Took my call on a Friday, showed up on a (rainy) Saturday and came back on Monday morning to finish the job. They manufacture the gutters, they look great and work flawlessly since they are seemless. They are true professionals and put in a full day of work with great effort and great work ethic. Saturday of a holiday weekend (Easter Sunday followed) they worked until 7:00pm, until it was too dark to finish. They are excellent and true to their word. Definitely hire them. I have a feeling the word of their great work will spread quickly and unfortunately, they may not be able to be a responsive in the future.

Called Boston Gutters to install a couple downspouts and re-do the pitch of one of them.Guys came the same week and were great on timing and communication.Well done job that's all..

I have a fairly new house in the Newton area that needed new gutters(old ones had been destroyed by the snow storm) and was lucky to find this small business.They actually care about their customers and have awesome communication.Within hours from the first phone call,Chris showed up for estimate.He explained all the possible damages on the fascia board and soffit that the storm might have caused and set exact price per foot on the gutters.I decided not to look further more for contractors and hired them.I am so glad i did because the job was completed the same week!!Luckily the fascia and soffit were fine so I only had to pay for the gutters.Unlike others these guys work hard and don't waste time hanging around the property.Also I noticed that one of the guys smokes but he had an ashtray with him.Highly recommend them to anyone that needs a gutter installation company.
