I contacted Appliance Works. Due to the snow they are very, very busy. However, Scott was very friendly and professional over the telephone. He asked for details of the problem and gave suggestions as to how I could troubleshoot until the day of my appointment. Personally, I like texting. He remained communicative via text. He arrived timely, with his partner Michael, and they worked efficiently to complete the job. Scott and Michael explained their process steps which kept me informed. They said to call if there is any problems. I will definitely refer and use them again! Thanks Scott & Michael!

Very professional and left the kitchen area cleaner than they found it. I had sent them a picture of the manufacturer's info plate on the side of the door, and they arrived with the proper replacement part for that model. Another vendor had been there 2 hours and failed, but Appliance Works got the job done in an hour. Appliance Works will be my first call the next time I need an appliance repair.

It was a good experience. They were prompt in showing up, they showed up when they said they would, they were efficient, they seemed to know what they were doing, they did exactly what they said they would, and they charged exactly what they promised. I was pleased with all of that.

This was a very challenging and perplexing problem that one appliance repair guy had already failed at fixing. Scott and his assistant were not willing to give up even though they couldn't figure out the problem initially. When the first solution didn't work, they came back again and spent a lot of time coming up with a new approach. They didn't charge us for the second visit, but said that they were going to hang in there until the problem was solved. It's been about two months since they were last here and it appears that they fixed the problem. We were very impressed with their persistence in sticking with the problem until it was solved and their professionalism in not charging us for the second visit because they hadn't fixed the problem in the first visit. We would definitely call them again.

I highly recommend Scott and Appliance Works of Boston! He had great reviews on Angie's List- and I noticed that there was another reviewer who had called Scott about their older Subzero refrigerator! AND there was a great coupon available! I contacted Scott and told him about my issues with my fridge. He had a pretty good idea about what was causing the problem. I also mentioned a rattle in my dishwasher and he diagnosed that one too- over the phone. We set up a time and he called about 30 minutes in advance to say he was on his way over. I thought he might try to convince me to pitch my 1997 subzero- but he did the opposite! He told me that I'd be foolish to get rid of it- and that it'll last for another 20 years. He put in a few new parts after making his official diagnosis and was done in an hour. He told me how to maintain it- how to keep it clean and running. He also gave it a good cleaning while he was there. He also fixed the dishwasher by rebending the fan blades- no new parts for that job and I'm not sure he even charged me for that.

I was very happy with his work. This was the first time we got someone for the appliances and we were really happy with his work. He gave us very good advice for the refrigerator and he didn't replace the parts.

Scott was great! This was unfortunately the second time I had to call him, as much as I enjoy his visits. I was cleaning out the ice in my freezer and ended up breaking the evaporator fan. After searching the internet I couldn't get the part for at least a week so I reached out to Scott. Despite not getting a hold of him until 9 pm he was still able to get the parts that I needed and have the unit replaced in less than 36 hours! Again he was great at accommodating my schedule and getting the job done fast. So thankful I found him on this site!

Scott was great, he worked around my schedule to figure out a time to service the unit. He needed to order a part and came back to install in only to figure out it there was a different issue. He told me about the real problem, returned the other part for me and we picked a day for him to come back. He was fair and honest, which is what I was looking for. Everything's working great, thank you!

I have no complaints! They were willing to work with my schedule to make the appointment to fix my washing machine. They were on time, friendly and were willing (and able) to install a range hood after fixing the washer (I made the appointment for the washer only). I will definitely be using this company in the future!

They damaged property, they broke things. I can't believe this. When they came back, the guy, Scott, said "Oh that's not bad..." I have a gouge in my wood floor and also in my walls. I had provided blankets to put down so they would not damage the flooring, but they still did. They were not on time, exceptionally unprofessional and VERY careless. Their response to the gouge in my walls, is "oh you have paint to touch that up." The gouge goes though the paint, through the plaster and metal is showing. They did fix the dryer, however broke the washer completely in the process. Now the washer makes a loud noise during its cycle. Their answer for that was to put the washer on a low or medium setting instead of fixing it. I should also mention that my washer and dryer is less than year old. My appliances are in tight quarters and they really seemed like they were going out of their way to have to get them out again. I have Samsung coming out to look at the washer and I will have a follow up report after they have came. If they tell me that the washer is broken and cant be repaired, then I will expect that Appliance Works of Boston will be purchasing a new set and having it delivered and craned in as was the old set. I am a handicap individual and it is very difficult for me to take my things to the laundromat since my appliances aren't working correctly due to Appliance Works of Boston's carelessness.

Wonderful service, quick, explained everything in detail so I understood. Everything is working well now. My sub zero is 22 years old so I was worried I was going to have to buy a new one soon when it broke, but the guys reassured me that by replacing a few parts, it'll run just like new ones for many years to come.

There were significant coordination issues with getting this work done. They did not follow and agreed to time and process to contact my tenant and meet them. Then after attempting to reschedule the service they stopped returning calls and texts.

I contacted Scott through the Angie's List website and he responded right away with a price quote for the work. Then he came out and did the work quickly and also removed lint from the dryer exhaust. Everything was easy for me!

They fixed a large appliance for me last year and it's been working ever since.

I believed the provider that his best effort was made to find an appropriate replacement part. However, absent that part, no repair was possible. In the end, the only service provided was diagnosis of an un-fixable condition.

Our sub-zero fridge stopped working. He came within 24 hours and tried to fix it my doing maintenance as a cheaper solution. When that did not work he drove 60 miles to get a new computer for and replaced the computer without any additional labor charges - just the price of the parts.

Scott called as he said he would to let me know he was on his way. Showed up on time and ready to go to work. Diagnosed the problem and had the parts to make the repairs. While there he cleaned the exhaust grate and removed the frost that had built up in the freezer. Scott knows Sub Zeros inside and out making our 20 year old refrigerator work like new again!

First of all, Scott is very knowledgeable and responsive. He provided the estimated cost over the phone when I described the problems to him. The previous guy from another appliance repair company I talked to refused to give me any information on the cost. Off course, I know the cost provided over the phone is only a guess from Scott's previous experience. But he seems very knowledgable and very nice, so I decided to ask him to come to give a dignose on the problem and then decided if I want to pay for the repair or just buy a new stove since this is an old one. Scott said he will give me an exact cost of the repair and can also give me suggestion on if the stove is worth to repair. After I made an appointment with him, I realized it was not a good time and wanted to change to a late afternoon time. He said not a problem at all since he was in this area, so he can come later. He called me on the day of the appointment and informed me that time he will arrive. Then he showed up on time. I thought he will only give a diagnose, but he gave a quick fix right there. He even gave us discount on the service cost, so I only paid for the diagnose fee. I am very happy with his service and would recommend him to anyone who has appliance problems.

Scott and one of his employees came to fix our dryer in February. He replaced one part, but after he left I found that I could no longer dry a full load of clothes. He came back two more times to make it right. He charged me for the additional part and was more than fair with respect to additional labor charges. Personally, I also found him to be straight-forward and, especially given that he came back to make it right, ethical and hard-working!

Scott arrived right on the time we agreed upon. He even called to say he was on his way. He and his partner were so nice and professional. After the repair, he spent quite a bit of time advising me as what I should do as he warned me that the motor on the dryer is on it's way out. They even went back and looked at it again to make sure they were giving me the right information. They also gave me the names of several dryers that they felt would suit my needs. I would highly recommend this company and would certainly use them again.
