As part of purchasing a new house we needed to purchase new appliances. Upon delivery the fridge did not fit in the cabinet space. It was too tall. The issue is that I could not go with a fridge any smaller because the only next options would have been below 20 cu sq. ft. Going in I knew the space was not conducive to a huge fridge so the one we selected had that in mind already and it still did not fit. Going to a fridge below 20 cu sq. ft. would not make sense for my family. It would just be too small. So my appliance place recommended adjusting the kitchen cabinets. They recommended somebody but I was thinking I could do this myself. How tough could it be to shave a half inch of the bottom of my cabinets? The more I thought about it would probably end up making my kitchen look terrible. So I then called Andy around 11 am that morning after the appliances were setup. I explained to him my situation and how I had a refrigerator sitting in the middle of my kitchen. He was able to fit me in that afternoon. It took about two-three hours on his part. But the manner in which he did this project was fantastic. He took the entire cabinet off, carefully removing the trim etc. He then proceeded to cut the top of the cabinet which is covered by the trim to so that you could keep the bottom finish uncompromised and give the appearance that the cabinet had not been touched. He ensured all the lines looked good and really does treat his work like he is doing the work on his own home. My wife and I could not have been happier. The biggest complement is when people come over no one has even mentioned that it looks like anything has been done to the cabinets. In a project like this that is the key result and he certainly accomplished that. He also took the time to tighten up and adjust a few cabinet doors for me that he noticed and painted the one inch area behind the fridge that was now exposed because of raising the cabinets that had just been painted as were moving in the house. Going forward I will definitely make sure to use Andy for any future kitchen projects I have and would recommend him to all who need cabinet work done. He is a true professional and really enjoys making your kitchen look great.
Andy created his own template to install my apron sink. It was supposed to come with a template but didn't. He was so precise in his measurements, down to a 1/16th of an inch my husband couldn't believe it! I have an older home and my floors are not level. However, Andy was able to make every cabinet perfectly level and fit. Andy knew so much more than what we knew and his suggestions were appreciated.
I recommend Andy Welch for installing kitchen cabinets and am 100% confident that his quality of craftsmanship does not stop here. I would hire him to do carpentry, bathrooms, tiles, or anything he says he can do! He does not lie!!!!
