Problems just about disappeared immediately after treatment. A couple of months we are noticing a stray bug here and there, sometimes dead or dying. Dan was called and offered to make a return visit which we are waiting to schedule.

The technician arrived at the agreed upon time. He was courteous and professional. A thorough inspection was conducted. I've heard some negative things about pest control companies coming in to do the VA mandated inspections and then reporting problems that didn't actually need attention, or trying to pressure the homeowner into an up-sell or agreeing to a service contract that was not necessary. This is not the case with Cape Cod Pest Pros. It can be hard to find trustworthy service these days, and this company can definitely be trusted in my opinion.

I have been using Cape Cod Pest Pros for over 3 years now and their service has always been professional, thorough and reliable.I have a summer cottage that had been closed for over 5 years so you can image what the insect and field mouse population looked like when I opened the cottage back up. I quickly realized this was way beyond my ability to correct. Pest Pros came in and set up a regular insect/rodent program that has resulted in quickly eliminating the insect issues and greatly decimating the field mice population. You can never really get rid of field mice totally. Additionally during an inspection they discovered black mold growing upstairs under some paneling over sheetrock. They remediated the entire upstairs (ripped out all the paneling and sheetrock) and then sprayed down the timbers, all done very quickly and very reasonably. Also during a visit, while I was there, we discovered a nest of Carpenter Ants upstairs in the corner of the roof. Pest Pros treated the issue on the spot and quickly eliminated the problem. I am very happy with the services provided and will continue with my program because the results have been excellent. I did not see a single field mouse last year and don't expect to see any this year. Give them a try you will like the results.

I am happy with what I am paying, for what I am getting. They have been responsive about coming out and sharing information. I told them I was going away and they changed the schedule. During our home inspection on our new house we discovered the attic needed some intense mold removal needed. When the bathroom vent was installed on the second floor it was vented directly into the attic causing a severe mold problem to develop in the wood joists as well as in the insulation. Cape Cod Mold/Pest Pros came out and did a moisture test through out the house to see if mold was a possible problem anywhere else at no charge and found the attic was our only problem for mold. They estimated the job might take 2 to 3 days; they were actually done in 2 days. They had to seal off the room below the attic to make sure none of the removed stuff would affect anyplace else in the house. They removed all of the insulation, removed all of the mold from all surfaces and chemically treated the mold to remove it from within the wood joists. The next day they installed all new insulation. Prior to the mold removal they came out and treated the surrounding property for pest control. During the home inspection we also discovered the house had a previous problem with large ants. We have several pets so were concerned with chemicals causing them issues. The Pest Pros use products that are more pet and environmentally friendly which we were very happy about. All in all we think they did an outstanding job and appreciate how prompt and professional they were during all of this.

We have a 100 year old home on the water that we rent out. We had seen some mice, and realized that the insulation under the house was in terrible shape, most of it falling off the ceiling. We spoke with a couple of other vendors who found the evidence of mice and also wanted to treat extensively for bugs, insisting that we had evidence of two kinds of invasive bugs. The folks from Cape Cod Pest Pros came and indicated that the mice and the condition of the insulation were serious issues but that bugs were not. We had a detailed estimate in one day, and they were able to schedule is within 48 hours once they understood our timetable. We had only a week between renters, they came and set up containment, donned their space-suit looking garb and 4 guys spent a long day removing all insulation, old flooring and debris which they removed. It was hot, nasty and uncomfortable and they remained very pleasant and polite. They closed off entry points, installed a baiting system, vacuumed all surfaces and applied fungicide. We have continued to use them quarterly, the area under the house is now as clean and neat looking as it could possibly be, given the space, and no one has seen any mice.

I have been using them for five years. They have also gotten rid of bees' nests. They are reliable and professional. They are here when they say they will be here.

The people that owned the home before me had used them. I figured that they knew the house so I stayed with them. I think there is one person that they usually send. They are very responsive.

My daughter called to have an exterminator check our house. We'd seen a dead mouse once in the Spring in our garage but other that that - nothing. A man came to check. Seemed nice. He said the house "was ready to lift off" - by that he meant we were overrun with mice. He also said it was possible there was mold in the garage. He said he'd get somebody out there to put out poison and that his boss would come in with an estimate. We paid $240 for this initial visit and a followup visit and a few days later, the boss came. Like the first man, he seemed reasonable and nice. He confirmed that all our insulation was filled with mice nests and when we said we hadn't seen any mice beyond one in the garage - dead - in the Spring, he said it was because they left the house during the summer and came back in the winter. . He estimated the cost at $8000. This was to remove all our insulation and clean the attic and the basement and replace the insulation. We were horrified. When I explained I couldn't afford it, he suggested we only do the basement - remove all insulation and clean the basement - he said we didn't need new insulation - that it wasn't that important to have insulation in the basement. I'd never owned a home before so what did I know? Somewhere in all this, a man, also nice, came in with poison and another man came in to check. I asked the second man if he'd found any mice. He said he had and after removing them, he'd put out fresh bait. The Friday before we were to have the work done the following Monday, our handyman came over with a friend of his and a carpenter they were both recommending for some work we needed done on the house. I explained because of the extermination, we'd have to wait until a new season of summer renters before proceeding and this led to a discussion about all the mice. The handyman said he hadn't seen mice so we all went to look at the insulation in the basement. The carpenter said the insulation was fine and went up to the attic and confirmed that the both upstairs and downstairs insulation was "pink" ( meaning in good shape ) and there didn't appear to be a problem. He recommended we call Fowler and Sons - a Termite and Pest Control Company which had been operating on the Cape for a long time, He was recommending Fowler because he knew him. He also told us to cancel the Cape Cod Pest Pros service for the folowing Monday which I did. Fowler's son came over that Friday afternoon. He checked everything and said "there's no sign of mouse activity." In fact he'd found untouched bait from the previous owner that went back 2 years to when we bought the house. He said he couldn't believe "those guys were still in business" and that we were the third home he'd saved from Cape Cod Pest Pros that week and that if we wanted him to, he would speak to them himself. With Fowler, the first visit for the estimate is free. He did go down and look at the garage and plug up a hole he found in the molding. He did that because the carpenter said we needed to replace it and if there was ever any mice - that was a way in. I know times are tough. We're all more than a little short. But taking advantage of each other this way is just a shame. I do not on any level recommend Cape Cod Pest Pros. We did have our plumber in - no mold - but there was a slight leak from the upstairs bath tub. Finally I appreciate Angie's List for providing a place where homeowners ( particularly first time homeowners like myself ) can set things straight.

I was trying to purchase a property on the Cape and quickly needed a pest inspection for the sale. Cape Cod Pest Pros were able to accomodate my needs and schedule. They were very professional, including being very prompt for the appointment which was important since so many people were involved. Kevin was clearly an expert in his field. He found some evidence of termites that the seller's pest control company had not seen. He was also very reassuring about the extent of the problem and the ability to manage it. I will look to Cape Cod Pest Pros for help in the future...hopefully at this new home!

Technician came within the time stated for the quarterly service review. Inspected and replaced bait traps. Checked for termites and ants. Thouroughly inspected the inside of house including attic, requiring crawling through a hole in the ceiling. Checked garage and outside of property including a shed. I called this company a year ago to take care of a mouse problem and I have not had any problems since. They made excellent recommendations about how to prevent infestation and now perform quarterly servicing. I always feel better after the technician has surveyed the property and given it a clean bill of "health".

They were quite excellent. They had a bad remark on Angie's List, but they did a good job. They were really good. More than the sales people or the estimators, I liked the guy that came and actually did the work. He was very thorough and very, very polite. It seemed like he knew his stuff. He did a good job. They were also able to provide for me and they faxed a certificate of insurance including liabilities and workers form because I asked them. I made sure because the home owners insurance says you have to, but nobody ever does. Their price was average. There are 2 different kinds of treatments; one is less expensive than the other. This was the less expensive. They actually put the poison in the ground. The guy originally made an appointment to come and give me a quote and he completely spaced it out. I took a risk to go with them. After that everything else was wonderful. The guy came in at the specified time. The guy who came out and did the work was very good. He was efficient, non-intrusive, very polite, in and out, and easy on the eye. I would use them again in the future. It is the kind of thing where you pay for the contract or warranty for however many years you want it for.
