The quality of the work was excellent. He responded to some real small concerns with the mulching and made it right. Threw in a couple of down spout changes that were not part of the original deal. He was up front that he could not start for about 4 weeks when he gave the estimate due to his workload. The price was in line with his estimate not one penny over. I would recommend him for comparable work in the future

We originally called Bob Whyte for an estimate because of all the great reviews on Angie's List, and were thrilled to find out he is located in our area. Our project took a few days longer than expected, but that was due to the weather. It was still completed by the date we needed it to be done by. The workmen were some of the hardest working men we've ever seen. They did an amazing job. We are very happy with our new wall and the plantings. It is beautiful! Bob has such wonderful ideas. In talking with Bob, we decided to go with a different plan for our wall than the one we originally called him for. His plan actually saved us money...we really appreciated his honesty. We have a few more projects we'd like to have done and can't wait to hear Bob's ideas on those as well. All in all, it was a great experience. Looking forward to having him come back!

We had a very pleasant conversation with the folks at Naturescape. The person we spoke with seemed honest, friendly and upfront. He asked us what our timeline was, and then let us know that they were booked up until September. He gave us a tip to always ask specifics on a timeline, because many contractors will not let you know how busy they are and leave customers waiting for weeks to get the work started. We appreciated his honesty and would consider contacting them again for a future project.

These days, responsiveness from contractors is in short supply. So I was pleasantly surprised when Bob promptly Returned my call, followed up with a quick quote, and scheduled the work according to the agreed timeline. 2 months later the new sod lawn looks great and the paved walkway gets lots of complements. Bob takes pride in his work and does not disappoint.

Bob, from Naturescape returned our call in a timely manner. He came out to look over what we wanted to have done at the time he said he would. We explained what we wanted to have done. He took his time, measuring the area, and asking just what we wanted to have done. We were originally thinking about just having a 12x20 foot pad put in. He suggested that we have the new patio go up to our pool, and instead of having a rectangle, that maybe a curved patio would look better. He also suggested where and what types of plants we could use to improve the overall look of the patio area. We had several different companies come out to give us an estimate. Bob showed an attention to detail that none of the others did. His price was inline with what most of the other estimates were. The quality of work done was topnotch. They completely cleaned up after themselves. To the point, they reseeded the parts of our lawn that were damaged by their equipment, they powered washed my driveway to get the marks from their tucks off of it, and power washed a small shed that got some marking paint on it by accident. We are very pleased with Naturescapes work, and would recommend them.

I am extremely pleased with the professionalism and work accomplished. I had been very frustrated by the lack of response from other excavators. After a home inspection, we discovered the water pipe from the street, supplying our home with water, was very rusty and in need of immediate replacement. I contacted a company recommended by the town and they came out to inspect; however, they waited a month to get back to me and then told me they were too busy. I contacted a couple more companies and never got a response. Bob Whyte immediately responded to my request and was very prompt in responding to every question and kept me informed of when he was able to inspect the property and provide an estimate. He gave me the estimate and explained that he would take care of required permits and inspections and arrange for the plumber to connect the new pipe to home plumbing. This was a big deal and much appreciated since the coordination would have been difficult for me and may have meant no water for over a day. He did his best to keep the job to a single day, although explained that it was possible it could take more than a day due to factors beyond his control. He also told me exactly what damage would occur to the plants and tried to minimize that was much as possible. I was not able to be there. He started on time and completed the work that day. He explained to my family that the water may be rusty as the extra water pressure caused some murkiness as it worked through the pipes. Several days later they had a problem with low water pressure. He called them back immediately and told them what to do. It worked and there hasn't been a problem since. Bob sent me a picture of the job. He gave me a call to go over the results. He also warned me that one of the trees needed to be removed due to weakening its root structure from excavation. He did a great job, was very responsive, very knowledgeable, great to work wit, and was extremely professional. I would use him again and highly recommend him to anyone needing landscaping and excavation work. With all the excavators who don't even bother to call back, he stood out.

We hired Bob Whyte (Naturescape) to remove some trees, excuvate the back yard, remove the brush and vegetation from the higher ground, create a slope to access the furtherst part of the yard and to take down and reinstall a section of our fence for access. We are pleased with the work. All the materials removed were to stay onsite, however we ran out of space in the middle of the project and talked to Bob about hauling off the rest of the fill. He was able to change the scope of the project on short notice and made arrangements for it to be removed. Very please with the work.

He definitely knows what he is doing, very knowledgeable. Came to my house to look at the project and immediately developed a really clear vision for what he thought would look nice. Talked me through what he was thinking and then presented a bid that included a variety of option (ie with or without mulch, with or without the metal trim around the garden, with shells, with stones, with grasses or without etc etc) that allowed me to tailor the project to the options and price point I wanted without have to go back and forth - I liked that process a lot. When they came, they did the whole job in a day - and they actually did more work that we had agreed on. He saw the tree in the front and (rightly) thought it didn't look right without putting some of the edging and rocks around it too so he threw it in, that was a nice surprise, and I think it shows he'll go the extra mile to ensure that the finished project is really nice. He followed up with a phone call to give me instructions on the care which so far has been good (we got a lot of rain afterwards as well so that helped. ) I think the ONLY thing I would have liked to see different would have been a written set of instructions with the specific information on "here's what I planted, here's how to take care of the plants now and over the winter". I got some notes from the call, but still don't know the names of everything that was planted. It would be nice finishing touch to an already really tight operation) to have that for customers as a leave behin.

I was expecting to have to pay much more given what I was asking for and the difficult landscape they had to work with initially. But Bob's quote was a pleasant surprise, and he seemed to understand exactly what I was going for, so I was confident I was paying for what I really wanted, and not going to have to settle for what was "easy". The quote included some options that I hadn't even seriously considered, such as using the material from excavating the hilly area to fill in a depressed wooded area on the opposite side of the yard (which he also cleared of at least a dozen smaller trees and a large overgrown system of briars!) to gain even more space. Given what he was presenting, I didn't even pursue other quotes. He seemed very easy to work with and that is important when you're spending this kind of money! The rest of his crew were also very good guys, and went the extra mile trying to make sure I got as much flat area as possible (definitely not the kind of workers who show up and do the bare minimum to get their paycheck - they seem to take a lot of pride in their work). Some of the largest buried rocks were too big to excavate, but they did their best to hammer them so they did not protrude from the ground very much, spending much more time than they probably anticipated. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the results. It's way beyond what I ever expected it to look like, gave me much more yard space than I thought I would end up with, and is far more level than I though could be achieved. Given the quality of their work, and especially considering how reasonable the cost was, I will definitely be going back to naturescape for any future landscape construction I do in the future.

Bob was very easy to speak with. He gave us his ideas which we liked very much. However, we were not prepared to spend this much on the repair and made other arrangements.

Bob Whyte helped to not only transform our sandpit front yard into something beautiful, but also into something that brought so many wonderful compliments from our neighbors. After our first appointment with Mr Whyte we knew he was the man who could help make our visions become a reality. The project started with a paver walkway and patio, along with a river rock bed which instantly gave the front yard some original character. We were so impressed with the walkway and patio, that we also decided to have a retaining wall built along the side of the yard. To help assist with drainage problems we were having, Mr. Whyte's crew rerouted all of our downspouts into a catch basin. Mr. Whtye and his crew always went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the work being provided. Mr Whyte even came over on a Saturday to assist with our water well that needed to be raised to ground level. Throughout the project we were given a daily update and kept posted of the upcoming schedule, communication was never a problem. We are so happy with the finished results of our front yard project, we are having Naturescape back to assist with the design of our back yard.

We had some idea of what we wanted done, but Bob's expertise and vision of what could be done was incredible. He never once sold us on something that did not make sense and with a limited budget his honesty was refreshing. He provided great communication on our start date and actually started the week before we actually expected him. He estimated that the project would take 4 days to finish and everything was actually completed two days early. Since completing the project, he has stopped by twice to ensure that sod is coming in nicely and to ensure that we are happy with the work. I would recommend Naturesacpe and Bob without hesitation and we are EXTREMELY pleased with our new backyard oasis. Without a doubt this is our best experience ever with a contractor and look forward to working with Bob in the future as, we will need more work done in our front yard.

I highly recommend Bob/Naturescape. It was the best experience I have ever had with a contractor. He is very meticulous and pays great attention to detail. He also delivers the highest quality of work. Both me and my brother have used him and are both extremely happy with the results.

We have not yet committed to who we will use for our large front yard hardscaping project (or if we will end up doing it at all), but we were very happy with Naturescape's service during the assessment process. They have been very thorough in their analysis of our yard and explaining the next steps to move forward with the plan. They took it upon themselves to reach out to the township to get the ball rolling on the permits we would need to perform the work, which has also been a huge help since they surely know better than we do how best to approach the town about a hardscaping project. They also spent over an hour with us in our yard going over various details and options of how we could get the project done, leaving us very satisfied that we had come up with a good strategy going forward. If we do end up going forward with Naturescape, we will update our review (or add a new one, depending on what Angie's List will let us do) detailing the actual hardscape process.

Due to issues beyond our control we have had to put off the project. We will be looking forward to working with Mr. Whyte in the future.

I misunderstood the Deal as it was written. Based on the conversation I had with him, the man sounds competent and friendly, but the project I had in mind was much smaller than he typically does. He was professional, however, and encouraged me to get a refund from Angie's List, which I am.

My husband and I called Bob for an appt. to find out exactly what we could do with our property. We've interviewed several landscapers and we were so impressed with his caliber of ideas. Bob was able to provide a number of possible solutions to our landscaping needs which we had not heard before. We are putting off our plans right now to landscape but would undoubtedly call him in the future when the budget is there.

Overall, this was a great experience. Bob and crew were excellent from start to finish. Bob has great ideas and visions that gave us numerous options to complete the project and provide us with the best results. He was very responsive and worked with our needs throughout the entire project. The crew was prompt, professional, and hardworking - they really took pride in their work. They were also very versatile with their skill set from basic landscaping to wall building to building complex basketball court design on a complex plot of land. The actual basketball court seems like a great product and would recommend it to people looking for an alternative to blacktop or cement. Once again, overall a great experience. We are very happy with the end result and would recommend Bob and Naturescape for any type of landscaping work that you need

this project turned out great! thanks to naturescape ! I was not able to be home during most of the project I picked the pavers and with the help of naturescape the plantings. every day I came home I was amazed with the work that had been completed. it was so nice to be able to leave and know the project was going to be done right! everything was completed on time, budget and in a timely manor.

I called Naturescape and set up and appointment for an estimate. Bob, the owner was at my house a day later. He had lots of pictures showing the different products that we could use. He gave us a great price and had the work completed within a week.

I very rarely write reviews, but Bob and his team did such an excellent job that I wanted to make sure other Angies List users heard about the experience that I had with him and his team. He performed the work as planned and in a timely fashion. His suggested approach was far better than other contractors and even with this more labor intensive method, his price was competitive. Bob is a true professional, and I couldn't have asked for the project to go any better. He has a customer for life!

my yard was a disaster, Naturescape made it the nicest yard in the neighborhood if not the whole town. They started about a week before we went on vacation and Bob (the owner of Naturescape) told me it would be done when we got back a week later I really thought Bob had lost his mind, but it was done just like he said.

The Project went exactly as planned and I will use them again.
