horrible! they did all the new plumbing when we bought our house. within a few years we were having leaking issues in the ceiling. ripped out the ceiling to find it was plumbed entirely wrong and not in accordance with building code. the owner was so awful and told me that i should not expect the plumbing to last more than 10 years!!! years later more moldy ceilings from leaking pipes. more and more money sunk into fixing the poor, poor workmanship. they take zero responsibility for their **** poor work that causes thousands of dollars later on when it all needs to be ripped out of ceilings and walls to be repaired. absolutely disgusted with people like this. they should not have a license.
Description of Work: they did all the plumbing for our new house.

The way they treated my mother in-law was terrible. In regard to when she, first of all they came once and couldn't fix it so, so they had to come again another day and seeing that it was the second day he had another company come to clear out the plug. The first day that he was there he ask for payment and she said I won't pay you until you have done something and if you had done the work so they were okay with that the next day the other guy came to them and said he got a contract to clear it to take care of the plug and then the following day they sent someone else to put the sink back together because she had no sink and she had dripping going on so all and all I would say they were very rude to her, they needed payment at the time and she had another issue with that the sink was now leaking so when she had them come out they fix that they needed payment for it at the time the guy who came to do the work did a fine job expect he was looking for, it was a hundred and eighty nine dollars and he didn't give her a receipt or bill and she said well I will pay you when I get the bill. So she got one call from the office telling her she needs to make payment today and she said no we payed the bill, they had someone else call her and ask her for her credit card number. needless to say I would never do business with them again.

The guys were very professional and did not up charge. The only negative was the operator on the phone was a little slow to respond sometimes.
Description of Work: They were testing inside the house to find the problem that was causing a slow drain. They initially snaked the drain. They came back and determined it was a cracked pipe leading from the house to the septic tank.

I told him "I guess I have no recourse, but I want to tell you this is really awful. I thought Lowe's was expensive at 300 dollars." The installation cost more than the dishwasher I bought! He simply said he didn't know what to tell me. He spent roughly three hours here, including all the coming and going.
Description of Work: James pulled out the old dishwasher and told me a lot was not up to code, and he had to leave and come back. Then he said he had to change some of the way it was hooked up, and said it might be kind of expensive. He asked if his team quoted me for installing a dishwasher that I already had on hand. I told him no, and he said that it might be about four hundred dollars. He spent a while cursing while I was sitting in the other room, and eventually handed me a bill for five hundred forty nine dollars.

I've told the story but there's an addendum. The next week I was reading the paper and saw a picture of the young man who did the work--there was an accompanying article. The young man was being interviewed about his burgeoning music career and noted that he had attended a trade high school and graduated a few weeks before! He was just out of high school and not a plumber!!!! Apparently he had some plumbing training but I paid a plumber's rate and was not told he was a trainee or whatever, and Maybruck didn't oversee the work-he was only interested in the check! He apparently is quite successful now as I see his trucks and my blood pressure goes up every time I see one. I felt that I had been roundly cheated and his attempt to get a second charge for fixing screwed up work was appalling. I should have reported this to the BBB and perhaps the Board that licenses plumbers.
Description of Work: This was horrible! I called Maybruck because I had a shower valve leak. He sent someone over-he didn't come himself until later, when he wanted the check and apparently went immediately to the bank to cash it. He didn't check the work. I had to take everything out of a linen closet that was packed-it was a considerable undertaking; put it all back when the work was done. Discovered the next day that I still had a leak. I called Maybruck back and he told me since it was a weekend it would be $100/hr. I was aghast and told Maybruck the work wasn't satisfactorily performed and I expected it fixed. I had to take everything out of the closet again. The young man came again and this time Maybruck looked at the work--the worker did not caulk something. After they left everything had to go back in the closet--5 hours closet time total. This was an ungodly situation..

I called because of some minor flooding around the A/C/Furnace in the basement (about an inch!). Most local plumbers did not even pick up the phone with a live person and those that did could not come out for a few days as it was a heat wave and demand for A/C services was high. Maybruck not only picked up with a live person, but they said they'd send out their A/C tech first thing in the morning! Jason arrived on time (early, in fact). A great guy, he got right to diagnosing the situation. Ran thru several checks and figured out that the problem was the lack of a vent in the drain line. He re-sealed everything up, observed the functioning of the unit for some time, and a little over an hour later the job was done. Best case senario (my opinion).
Description of Work: Added a vent to my Central A/C drain. Checked pressures on condenser and resealed plenum.

The service went well until I went to the building department. When I first met with Dan, I told him that I needed plumbing in my home to bring it up to legal code. He did the plumbing and it went well. When I called the building department, they said that Dan had never pulled a plumbing permit. When I contacted Dan about this issue he said that he only did repairs and did not need the permit. I have a letter from Dan stating that he in fact did bring it up to code. So now the building dept. still wants him to pull a plumbing permit. When I spoke with Dan he said he only brought certain parts up to code and he would not pull the plumbing permit. I feel as if he is trying to scam me out of more money. We agreed on a price to bring the whole job up to code and he only brought part of it up to code. As soon as I complained and told them about my issue they really went out of their way to make sure the issue was resolved. They emailed me 2 or 3 times a day to keep me a rest of what they were doing. It's a very large company and the day it was to be inspected the owner came to my home to insure I was happy. I would do business with this company again!

Here is my response to their quote for replacing my bathrom tub: "Thanks for the quote. However, it is extremely high. The tub and fixtures are approximately $1,200. The tile work is no more than $250. There is no more than 8 hours of plumbing work, demo, and install- one plumber @ ~$85.hr and an assistant at ~$50/hr = $1,080. I can see ~$2,500, but $4,700 is over the top. Even if my estimates are wrong, the product is ~$1,200 leaving $3,500 in labor. At the most exorbitant rates of $100 per hour for licensed plumber, assistant, and tile guy - each, that is 35 hours of work. Amazing...."
Description of Work: I needed a bathtub replaced - it is in an alcove - so the old tub needs to be removed and some plumbing needed to be moved around as well as tile removed and replaced. I have used their service when I refinished my kitchen. I think they are very professional and do good work, but this quote was over the top for the bathroom. I got one quote from Hubbard Plumbing for $2,000 and Maybruck's was $4,700! I will not use them for this job - I feel they were taking advantage of me.

Overall, it went great. The gentleman who came and assessed the house was the one who oversaw the job. They were able to get me in the next day for the entire job. He spent well over 25 minutes on a Friday afternoon at 5 PM showing me the work that was completed throughout the house and cellar instead of just tossing a bill at me so he could get out on time. He explained why a few things were not replaced, and how they got to the final dollar amount for the job. I now have great water pressure throughout the house, hot water in my shower, and best of all no leaks. Oh yeah, the Pex plastic pipe has a 25 year warranty when installed by a licensed plumber. They gave me paperwork on this as well.
Description of Work: They came to fix a leak in my shower. It turned out that the whole drain pipe for the tub was not connected to the tub. I had just purchased the home 2 weeks earlier and knew of a few leaks. Before I could even ask the gentleman about work beyond fixing my leak, he advised that I think about having some of the copper replaced as it was very weak and corroded; this is kind of what I was thinking as well. I ended up having all the copper replaced with Pex plastic pipe as well as all new fixtures in the shower. All new stainless steel valves and stainless steel hook up lines were added to the faucets, toilet, dishwasher, and washing machine. They also replaced a large amount of the drain pipe from the tub into the main drain line.
