I had an emergency situation. The main waterline to the house was blocked. I called Chris around 8:30 AM and he responded straight away.. he assessed the situation, took care of permits and completed the work by mid afternoon. We have water restored, and a huge blockage removed from our main waterline. He was very professional, courteous, I would highly recommend this company.

I am an architectural design professional who has worked with many excavators over a period of 30 years and I am very happy to report that my experience with H and M Excavating of Plainville, MA was one of my best construction-related experiences yet. I am based in New Haven, CT, but the project was in Attleboro, MA. So not only was there distance involved, but the project on which Chris helped out involved replacing an old 3-bedroom septic system with an entirely new one, with the added complexities of having to reposition the water and gas lines which run from the street into the house, so that he could make room to install the new system. Chris took care of every detail. He made all of the arrangements with the gas provider to move the gas line, and he brought in his own very excellent plumber to relocate the water lines. He removed all anxiety from a project that I mostly could only handle from afar. I did receive a quote from another company to do this work, and although the quote Chris provided was just slightly higher than this other company, he was definitely the superior choice. In contrast to the other company, Chris returned phone calls, texts and emails promptly, showed up when he said he would, handled all of the building inspections, and so forth. He did not overlook any detail. He even left the project site looking as though a professional landscaper had performed the work. So thank you, thank you, thank you, Chris. Your business may be a young one, but I will gladly sing praises of your services to anyone who asks. And thanks to online reviews, I am able to do exactly that. -Bill

The guys were excellent! Did an awesome job! I had just bought an old house that came with plumbing problems. They came out and fixed everything and showed me that whoever did the job before, didn't do a good job at all. They fixed my plumbing problem and got everything finished quick. Would definitely hire them again!

I had a wonderful experience working with these guys! Kevin and the team were super responsive, reasonably priced, and very friendly. They came to my property to do a stump removal and worked really efficiently and got the job done really well. My neighbors were very happy with their work as well. Chris and Zach both contacted me in a timely manner and kept me informed about the timetable for replacing the septic tank. Work started on time and was completed quickly, leaving our yard looking better than before.

Chris was the first person I dealt with, he is extremely polite and engaging which makes it easy to ask questions about the process. He is also truly professional and absolutely knows his business. Today Chris, Zack and a third crewman arrived at 8am to replace the main sewer line from my house all the way to the town sewerage connection. Zack handled the CAT like a master, I watched him put the bucket between two posts that are so close together I didn't think the bucket could fit and he didn't even tap or nick either one. My apologies to the third crewman as I cannot remember his name but he always seemed to be exactly where Chris and Zack needed him. More proof of how great H & M is to work with is the fact they completely cleaned and swept the entire area as will as loading their trucks to finish, as promised, at 3pm. I highly recommend making your first call to H & M Excavating, Inc. if you want professional service at a fair price.
