Destito tree service

We made an appointment with Nick Destito for the pruning of several trees on our property. We had a birch with branches broken in a storm, threatening to drop at the wrong time. We had a large pine with branches overhanging our roof. We had multiple trees with branches drooping near to the ground and just overdue for reshaping. Nick spoke to us in detail about each and offered his expertise where we needed it. He provided a quote, and after we committed we got a place on his schedule. A few weeks later the crew came out. The crew was made up of three guys and included Nick's son. They arrived around 8:30AM and worked through until 3:30PM. My wife and I were both there and started by going through the plan again with them, and happily noted they were up to speed from the beginning. We followed their work through the day and they were able to take and use our feedback tree by tree. A maple our daughter likes to climb had its lower branches spared and interior carefully pared away. She'll continue climbing it, and it looks fantastic. I've never seen so much light coming through. Our 100'-plus pine was attended personally by Nick's son, a certified tree ninja. He went up it with ropes, harness and a chain saw and moved from branch to branch, cutting the overhangs and a number of ugly, stubbly broken branches we pointed out in real time. It was amazing to watch him, 50' up maneuvering about, sometimes one-handed taking branches with a chain saw that cut through bark like butter. I feel like I should advise any kids not to try this at home. Tree service is tricky. Every tree is different and details matter. The attention to those details is something families live with for years to come. We were delighted with the time, effort and attention to detail shown to us not just by Nick but also by his crew. The next time we need tree work he'll be our first call.

We had a couple of trees that were growing close to the house and needed to be trimmed back and another that needed to be removed. We talked with a few services, but decided to go with Destito. They were very responsive after my initial call, and were very communicative throughout the process. After we accepted their estimate, they let us know that their upcoming schedule was quite full. However, since it was only about a half of a day's work, they let us know that they would get in touch if they had a few hours when they were in the area. Sure enough, they were able to do the job the next week. They showed up on time, as promised, and completed the job as discussed. No hassles, no problem. We have some tree work to do in the future, and will definitely work with Destito again.

They even replanted several flowers that had to be temporarily relocated to accommodate the chipper. The work was exceptional and at a very reasonable price.
