My experience with Quality Kitchen (QK) was terrible on many levels. I selected QK because the owner took pride in the fact that he manages each project; has an all-inclusive team to handle all aspects of the project; and completes one job before starting another. The cost was on the higher side but I wanted the convenience of not having to coordinate the project. The designer/daughter, was professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. QK has a nice showroom with many samples to view. Once we settled on the kitchen design, I paid for the cabinets, and the order was placed. This project started August 2016. The carpenter - who is amazing - did most of the job himself. Not quite sure who did the electrical and plumbing as there were several in and out. The plumbing and electrical work was substandard at best. This job was to be done within 3 weeks, and it took several months. The owner asked for a check the first week on the job, and the following week, asked for the remaining balance. At this point, the balance was paid in full. At least 3 other jobs were started while my kitchen was put on hold. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the owner, and was ignored. The owner did not oversee the work being done. I continuously had to point out problems and inferior work. The sink delivered was not the quality I requested, and I brought this to the owner’s attention. He assured me the sink would be replaced. Not only was the less quality sink installed, but it would not drain. The owner also agreed to move a pendant light, and some outlets. When I questioned him about the sink and electrical, I was told “they were fine”. At this point, I was so disappointed with the owner, and just wanted the job done. One evening, I was left an “extras” invoice. I immediately called the owner and expressed my surprise and dissatisfaction. Other than some electrical work we had discussed, the charges listed on the new invoice were neither discussed nor authorized. The following morning, the owner insisted I give him a check for the “extras” invoice. I reminded him that I had already paid 100% of a job that was still not done. He did not respond, but insisted on the check. I informed him that I would issue one check at the end of the job/week to cover the “extras” invoice, tile and labor for installing the back-splash. At this point, he stormed out of the house. The following week, I reached out to the owner and asked about the status of the tiles and back-splash. I was told to “pay my bill and we could talk about the tile”. I was shocked, and he continued to be hostile and unprofessional. I reached out to the daughter for assistance. She was unable to bring this matter to a resolution, and said I had to deal with the owner. I did ask for receipts for vendors, work done, etc. for my files. After several weeks of reminders, the son responded and provided all information requested. The son did forgive the “extras” invoice, and encouraged me to contact him with any further questions. At this point, I had to move quickly and get my kitchen finished as Thanksgiving was fast approaching. I ordered tile, hired a person to install the back-splash, and hired a plumber to fix the pipes so the sink would drain. I still need to work with the vendor to replace the sink. Last month, 5/2017, the refrigerator stopped working. The electrician stated the electrical panel needs some work as the breakers are overloaded. I paid QK for work they did not perform, and paid a second time to have issues corrected that were created by QK. Other issues occurred, but they were reluctantly resolved so I don’t mention them here.

Overall. very well. Carpentry was excellent. The project manager was superb, with a proper eye for, and insistence on , quality and prudent cost. avoidance for the customer. A few minor electrical mistakes were made, perhaps in haste, but were fixed quickly by the electrician with a return visit.. Contractor was fully aware of local building codes, and made sure they were in compliance.
Description of Work: Remodeled an expanded kitchen and dining room area. Took out walls, installed new cabinets, quartz counter top , flooring and lighting. Moved electrical switches, sockets and plumbing. Saw to proper licensing and inspection by the local town. Maintained a clean area after the work was done.

It was a wonderful experience; stressfull, but great overall. Nick and his crew are efficient and experienced in their jobs. They had the bathroom gutted ready to be renovated in one day. Best part of this process was THEY carted away the debris. As an afterthought, I wanted the hallway doors to bedrooms replaced and they did that also.
Description of Work: Had entire bathroom renovated: Bathroom gutted to studs and redone. Took out tub and replaced with glass enclosed walk in shower; new and effficient toilet; new linen closet, vanity and sink and medicine closet. The shower has a built in seat. Tiled with subway styled tiles and accent strip of tiles. Floor reinforced and gorgeous 12 in. porcelein tile installed. And adjacent to bathroom, renovated hallway closet and turned into a laundry nook. Borrowed several feet from huge bedroom closet.

Gutted old bathroom to the studs. Replaced tub with beautiful walk in shower, seamless shower door and glass panel. Tiled floors and walls. New cabinets, fixtures, door and painted ceiling and walls. The crew was professional and courteous. We would hire them again in a heartbeat.
