We recently hired Clukey Construction (which we found on the HomeAdvisor site) to repair the water damaged deck attached to our home. Shawn Clukey and his partner Neil always arrived on time, worked diligently and finished on schedule and within the budget. They repaired damaged areas in the wall of our home, provided excellent water shielding and replaced deck and stair planks. Shawn and Neil kept us informed of how the project was going every step of the way. They were personable and fully professional throughout. I hired Shawn to erect a Gorilla playset for my daughter. His communication in keeping me up to date on scheduling was unparalleled by any other service provider I have used. He also provided a great referral for someone to prepare the area I wanted the swing set erected. Shawn and Neil showed up on time (a little early even) on the day. Shawn kept his original quote even though it took longer than originally expected but finished it a little over half a day. What was nice is they cleaned up afterwards so I had nothing to do but let my daughter play. The play area looks nice, and the swing set looks great, is sturdy and I have confidence in the quality of the way it was put together and secured. Thank you very much Shawn and Neil!

We hired Shawn and Neil to build an 8x14 mudroom. We are so happy with the addition!!! Shawn asked all the right questions to make sure it was going to be exactly the way we wanted it. Neil installed a beautiful wood ceiling. It's such a nice room it seems wrong to call it a mudroom. The guys were prompt, neat and nice to my dog even when she'd get under foot. Our neighbors have all commented on what a beautiful job they did!

I hired Shawn to finish a demo of my kitchen that I had started and install a new larger window in the kitchen. Work was completed flawlessly and I am very happy with the results. I needed the walls done and Shawn was up front about the fact that hiring a plasterer was a better option than hiring him. I plan on hiring Shawn to finish my kitchen by hanging cabinets and trimming out all the doors, as well as a few other small projects and probably windows in the rest of my house at some point. When I purchased my 65 yr old house last year, the kitchen was desperately in need of a complete refurbishment. I bought my cabinets from Kitchen Associates but hired Shawn and Neil to replace brick and paneling with drywall, add insulation, replace the linoleum floor with black hardwood, and install the cabinets and add under-cabinet lighting. They also added curved molding to the two archway doors in the kitchen, replaced the window molding to match the rest of the house, and replaced the cellar entry door to match all the other 6 panel doors in my house. It was the largest project I will probably have done to this house, and I am so glad I hired Clukey Construction for this job. Kitchen Associates did not do a good job of measuring out my kitchen, so Shawn and Neil needed to build out walls and work with Kitchen Associates to get a cabinet resized. They also noticed that I was sent the wrong sink, luckily before the granite company picked it up to add it to the countertop. Shawn is excellent at communicating their schedule and progress, they show up when they say they will, and they do a fantastic job of cleaning up afterwards. This was not the first time I have hired Clukey Construction, and it will not be my last.

We hired Shawn and his partner to renovate our barn, which started life as a simple run-in shelter that we inherited when we bought the property. Within minutes of touring the building he had many smart ideas and I could see that he was both a visionary and a skilled craftsman. His quote was very fair and the resulting barn renovation far exceeded our expectations. I was impressed that he considered the practicality of improvements while also evaluating the resulting aesthetic. He had a diversity of problems to address, from building three massive exterior stall doors on sliding hardware to battening the entire structure to repairing a wall of wood rot to shoring up stalls and fitting interior doors. He also built a staircase with railing up to the hayloft and proposed other safety features to enhance the usability of the space. At my request he even incorporated an antique French iron gate I owned into the facade of the structure, and gave its placement careful consideration. The finished product is a very functional and beautifully distinct barn. Our pair of miniature donkeys are the happy recipients of his hard work and we thank Shawn every time we enter the barn!

He responded quickly, worked with us on several options based on our needs and price, scheduled the install promptly, and completed the job efficiently. I hire Clukey construction to help me replace an old sliding glass door. Shawn was not able to repair it but he connected me to someone who could and followed up until the job was done. I was so impress with his commitment to the job, I hire him for my home repair needed after this past winter. My condo was effected by water and I need a new hard wood floor, painting of walls and repair of a wall. I was impressed with Shawn and his partners commitment to the job. They arrived on time, were flexable to my schedule and took pride in their work. They started my job and keep on it unit it was done, which is not allows the case with other company's. They promised my unit would look better than new and they were right. My new hard wood floor looks amazing. The unit looks like new. I will be sure to keep them in mind for any future jobs and I would recommend them highly.

We hired Clukey Construction to repair a huge hole in our barn roof, and some leaks in the house roof. They were very reliable, showed up when scheduled, completed repairs for the estimate given. They did a great job and I will definitely hire them again.

I hired Clukey Construction to install two storm doors and two entry doors. This was the fourth and biggest project that I have hired them for. The entry doors were very expensive and Shawn and his cousin took great care and pride in installing them. They found that the manufacturers had put a staple at the top of one of the doors that was scratching the trim. Shawn immediately took pictures and contacted the manufacturer and is working with them to rectify the situation. Clukey Construction are very responsive, always show up when they say they will, and treat each job as if they were working on their own homes.
