Description of Work: Installation of central air conditioning. Prior to the installation, there were two other events; the first being an estimate which was professionally carried out, with detailed explanations to all of my questions. I was especially pleased to learn that an existing coil unit that I had installed on a replacement furnace several years ago, in preparation for one day installing central air conditioning, could still be used with some minor modifications. The second step, once I had agreed to the estimate, was Wilson sent out a person to review the conditions for how they would access the electrical panel box, run the refrigerant lines etc. and make some recommendations on where the exterior condenser unit could be placed. I was not able to attend this event, but the Wilson representative explained everything to my wife, and even created a small drawing to show two possible locations for the condenser, and marked the locations in the grass so that I could review and decide which one would be more suitable for me. The day of the installation, the Wilson Brothers team of two showed up 10 minutes BEFORE they were actually scheduled to arrive. Both men introduced themselves to me, were properly dressed and clean appearing (always a good thing for giving some confidence to the customer that this is a professional organization in my opinion) and set about the task of unloading their tools and equipment. I'm the kind of person that likes to know exactly what is going to be done and how it impacts my home, so I asked the men to tell, and show me exactly how they were planning to run the refrigerant and electrical lines into, and through the house. Both complied without hesitation, and took the extra time to show me in detail how they planned to run the lines. They were planning on running a condensate line to a tub sink that I have installed near the furnace and when I asked them to run it outside (which required a pump to do this) they agreed with no fuss or hesitation. When I started to move items out of their way, they said I didn't need to do that, if they found something in their way they would move it. With that, I left them to get to work. This was planned to be a one day project, and it took them about 6 hours to complete the effort. There was a time when they didn't seem to be able to get the electrical portion working correctly, and after about 45 minutes of searching for the problem, they found and fixed it. (When I questioned the foreman before they left, he mentioned that the younger team member was being trained and he was in charge of the electrical. He had a loose connection on a spliced neutral wire which the foreman found adn had him fix.) All work was done very professionally, with the lines organized and run in the most direct path, secured properly and neatly finished. When they were finished, the foreman brought me down to inspect the work, show me the condensate pump run, and then outside to review the exterior electrical shut off box location, where the condensate line terminated and give a general overview of the system. I think we both saw that the lines entering into the side of the house had not been caulked at the same time, and just as I was about to say something to him, he mentioned it to me, and quickly went back to his truck to get the caulking gun. If I had one complaint, it would be that they didn't clean up the debris made from cutting through the walls and partitions to run the lines. Not a big thing, and I don't mind this small clean up task. Perhaps since the area in question was a garage and work shop area, they didn't feel it was necessary.
