Lowell Overhead Door

They came punctually and did a very nice job replacing an old, badly damaged, manually-operated garage door. I’m reasonably handy and had thought to do the job myself, but Steve Nelson and Justin came and did a quick, neat, efficient, high-quality job in a fraction of the time I might have spent, and for a price that was worth every penny. Highly recommended.

On Wednesday night, we were getting the kids in the car and my husband closed his door and BOOM! One of the garage door springs snapped. Thursday late morning I called and set up a time for a repair - Friday morning! He showed up right on time and fixed both doors - it turns out that the previous owners had a spring snap on the other door and they put it back up. All 4 springs and all 4 pulleys were replaced in about an hour and a half. Safety cables were added to the new springs. He asked me to come outside with him and he taught me how to lubricate the pulleys and rollers, showed me which product to buy. I was also expecting it to cost more than it did. Bonus! We will definitely hire Lowell Garage Door Services should any further garage door repairs be needed.

They installed the door with ease and were very helpful in describing a garage door opener that I provided. Perfectly aligned and it looks great!

I have a 2 door garage - one of the door's springs completely snapped and immediately rendered inoperable. I called Karen at the office the next day, and she had Steve stop by my residence the following day to only take a look at it. But once Steve arrived, not only was I pleasantly surprised by his pleasant personality, he told me he could fix it then and there. After 45 mins or so, he had replaced the springs, bolts, and cables on the door. I even had him come back later in the week to repair my other garage door. The entire time, he was being up front and curtailing to my needs and not his needs. Loved working with Steve and Lowell Overhead Door, as they felt like you were working with someone who was not only professional, but personable and friendly. Hands down, recommend to anyone.

Karen at the office returned my call immediately and Steve came out the same day we called. He didn't even mention replacing the doors, let along pressure me to do so. He ordered the part and came back the very next day to replace the springs. He also lubed and tuned up the entire system. It is much quieter now - no more squealing and creaking!

Very well. Steve came out, reviewed our situation and recommended a set of doors that would complement our house. He quoted a price with and without windows. After review and selection of the window design, we accepted Steve's quote. Steve indicated they could do the job the following week and sure enough, he and Jason came out the next week and finished the job in 4 hours. We are very happy with the professional result and fine workmanship. Thanks for a job well done.

They did a very good and efficient job replacing the safety sensors as well tuning up both my doors.

Called around 9am on Tuesday and they showed up around 2pm the same day. They fixed the problem and serviced both doors within an hour. Excellent service!

Service couldn't have been better. They came the day I called. The servicemen were knowledgeable and very professional. They did the extras like clean and lube both doors (even the one that wasn't serviced).

These guys are professionals. They came in, replaced the springs and the door springs and gave some advice. Work done very quickly and I am pleased. Hire these guys. They know what they are doing.

I had a great experience with Lowell Overhead door . The owner Steve was very courteous and professional right from the first phone call to finishing the job . He and his assistant Justin helped fixed the broken cable , replaced pulley and bottom fixture and installed a new Door opener too . They did it at a very reasonable price , they helped me save extra cash by letting me choose my own Door opener from a local Lowe's , not a lot of Door companies would do that.

Garage door opener failed, so out of the blue I called Lowell Overhead Door. Steve stopped by the same day and took a look, it was great to talk to someone who really knew what he was doing. Both garage doors also needed replacing, something I had been putting off but now seemed like a good time. We picked out the doors that we liked, and scheduled everything to be fixed and installed the next week. This was on Friday, Monday was a holiday, Tuesday morning Steve and son showed up and did all the work including replacing all the door hardware tracks, and making a super tight fit, in about 4 hours. When the bill came there were no surprises, it was all done for the estimated price. Steve also said that if we had any problems with the garage doors to call him, saying that any problem with the doors is now his problem. What a good feeling.

This is my first (I believe) Angie's List post. Called Lowell Overhead Door, based on the reviews..and spoke to Stephen. He agreed to come by to service my garage door and arrived in 45 minutes from the call. The final price was only 415 more than the quote he gave me on the phone (I needed to replace a part that I didnt factor). The job was done in 30 minutes. Pleasant, professional, quick and explained what/why he was doing. Wish I had called him earlier. Highly recommend the service. Great job!! Thank you

My door is fixed for a fair price and with extreme professionalism. While they were here, they also fixed an issue with the door sensor. Another contractor actually replaced my good working sensor with a new one but did not address the root cause of the door noise issue. I strongly recommend Lowell Overhead Door to every one. Beware of other companies in Lowell that are trying to use similar sounding names and scamming customers. I have lost some money doing business with them. Make sure you are talking to Lowell Overhead Door at 978-459-4947. We need to support good contractors and make sure they are in business serving local community. They were very professional and did a get job. Gave me complete information on what is being changed and why it need to be changed... I am completely satisfied with their work.

Steve was very professional and explained everything to me. He came on time and was a joy to work with. He said that if there was any problems later on call him and he would take care of it. Great guy and it was nice doing business with him. Would recommend him to anyone.

Very responsive, easy scheduling and great service. They knew exactly what was needed and, after inspection, replaced aged pulleys, damaged cables and installed safety cables (my request). Both openers are over 15 years old. After inspection, it was determined that they are still in great working order and do not need replacement. Great customer service, kept me me posted throughout the service call and only replaced what was needed. Doors work like new now. Very satisfied.
