BABIN LANDSCAPING

I waited a year to write the review since a lot of work was done. The crew showed up on time and performed an excellent job. They assisted with suggestions on the landscaping and overall layout. They came back in the fall to take care of the lawn areas ( aerating and overseeding) Now, a year later the yard is beautiful, all plants that were moved survived and the grass is thick and survived it's first hard new England winter.

Babin Landscaping provides plowing services to our multi-household private drive. The firm has been plowing our driveway for 20 + years and does a wonderful job. This winter, we got 114+ inches of snow in Pepperell. We called Babin Landscaping to remove all the extra snow and ice that had pushed up against our house after we had our roof cleared. It was about a 2-day total effort with 2 to 3 men to shovel plus a front-loader brought in for the heaviest parts. They did a wonderful job; they came on schedule and the price was as quoted. The men they sent were polite, listened to us as we explained the areas to be careful of, and worked nonstop. The work was as neat as could be. We highly recommend Babin Landscaping for both landscaping and snow removal services.

They have a good reputation and seemed to be reasonable price. They were easy to work with, prompt and they did a really good job when they came. The only problem was they put seed down in the fall and say 'don't worry they'll come up in the spring', but they didn't come up very well so I called them. They came up promptly and said they will come back and fix it but they never did.

Babbin is very responsive and their crews are very friendly and courteous. They are doing weekly mows for me now, but hope to get them back for major landscaping next year. They are well known around town for their excellent work.

The crew showed up on Wednesday afternoon and , after a quick walkthrough, started working on the property. David was very helpful in redesigning the yard. The bulk of the project was finished within 3 days. Now just waiting on the finishing touches.

Mulch. The first job they did was okay but quite pricey. The second job I wanted them to do had to go to another provider. The owner was very late in getting back to me and the quote was very high. Paul was fantastic. Very knowledgeable.

They are working on a second project for me. They were very thorough. They cleaned up after themselves. The guys were friendly and followed directions very well. I would use them in the future.

Dave was supposed to be at my house at 9:00 AM. By 9:30 he still wasn't there so I called and a woman answered the phone. When I gave her my name she seemed to indicate that my name was not on the schedule. But when I asked "I'm not on the schedule?", she changed her tune and acted as if she didn't have the schedule so she really didn't know if I was penciled in or not. She then contacted Dave and after speaking to him she contacted me and told me he felt bad and had gotten unexpectedly tied up, and wanted to know if he could call me back and reschedule. I declined. My take is that I was never scheduled in, which is bad OR that Dave did know he had an appointment with me but was unable to make it because of the unexpected tie up. But in that case he should have called and let me know. Maybe I should have given Dave a 2nd chance but this sort of thing has happened with other contractors and I no longer have any patience for this sort of thing.

Our brick steps were starting to come apart in places. We thought we'd have to spend a lot and replace the steps entirely. Babin instead suggested fixing the steps- replacing mortar as approp and then cleaning the brick. They look great, beautiful, meticulous work. They could have charged us to replace them entirely so really appreciate their honesty. They also did a brick walk for us the previous year so this was our second experience w/ them. Would highly recommend.

Dave came and gave a clear concise quote for the work. Itemized the quotes, and was very accepting of our election of only a few items. The work was performed in a timely fashion, and performed to our expectations. I plan on having them back for more site / land scaping when and if the future requires.
