Rhino Shield Northeast

I am writing a review of the Warranty process. I had my home painted by RhinoShield in March of 2020. In August of 2023, I noticed a patch of paint that has peeled off. I contacted RhinoShield to have the spot repaired. I was informed by the production manager Luis that the repair would be covered under the warranty and that there was a fee of $450.00. This is stated in the warranty, but my objection relates to RhinoShield's marketing. For many years, I heard advertisements claiming RhinoShield was unlike regular paint that had to be done every seven years. I saw properties in my area that had used RhinoShield product and they looked great, so I opted to use RhinoShield. My paint lasted THREE years before I had an issue. If this issue had occurred ten years after the product was applied, I wouldn't be as angry about the warranty fee. I have not heard from RhinoShield for two months now in spite of sending emails. MAKE THIS RIGHT RHINOSHIELD!

I had my house painted by Rhino Shield in May 2017. This past April 2019, I noticed some peeling and “bleed through” staining and contacted the Service Manager (I will withhold name) and put in a claim on my warranty. I was told I would have to pay $450 for the crew to come and repair. The problem is the Service Manager has been giving me the run around and I have been waiting 5 months for him to schedule. This week I once again emailed him with no response. The excuse is the rainy season has delayed repairs but they keep advertising for new business. My next step is a call to the BBB and my lawyer. No reason to keep me waiting 5 months.

We had a wonderful experience with Rhino Shield. The consultation was informational and what really impressed us was the 25 year warranty. We almost went with vinyl siding, but then heard about this company from my dad (a project manager) and I'm so happy we didn't vinyl. My house looks beautiful and the work was done well. Satisfied customer!!

We have had RhinoShield on our house for about 10 years and it is one of the best decisions we have made for all the money we have poured into our house. Our house is an antique dating to the 1800s and prior to Rhino Shield we would have it painted and it would peel in 3 years - very costly! RhinoShield scraped our house to the wood and applied their product and it has looked good ever since. Recently we contacted them due to a few areas where the paint has slightly chipped and they came out yesterday and fixed all the areas that were in need at no cost to us. Such a good investment and we highly recommend them! Totally worth the price and we have saved money and aggravation in the long run! Thanks RhinoShield!

In 2013, we had Rhino Shield paint our entire Georgian colonial home. It was a superb job and looks beautiful. In 2018 several small areas had a problem and required warranty follow up work and painting. After making contact, sharing pictures, and a site visit, the warranty work has been completed. The result again is superb with only a minor service charge which is contractually defined. I fully recommend this product and the lifetime warranty which is part of the project.

We are beyond delighted with the work that RhinoShield did. Really, such amazing outcomes! Anibal and his crew did spectacular work. Our house looks amazing. Our neighbors are also all really impressed. Hoping we can send some more business your way. And, Jen in the office, and Kevin the field manager were wonderful hand holders. Kevin especially beautifully translated the inevitable hiccups (nothing unexpected!) along the way—and smoothed them all so very eloquently.

My experience with the Rhino Shield team was great! From the Manager, Kevin B., to Alfeldo M. the foreman, and the all the workers, their professionalism and care in which they took care of my house was appreciated. The costs were transparent and explained and they completed all promised tasks. The time and effort used in preparing the house was detailed and they repaired/replaced shingles and trim that was rotted. The finished house is amazing and neighbors keep stopping and commenting on how beautiful it looks. Great job and experience, thank you Rhino Shield!!!

They came to the house and painted the house with the Rhino Shield. Within a year it started to peel off and it continued to get worse. We called several times for them to come back to look at the situation. Finally, they came out and said it wasn't their problem it was the houses issue. They said the house had moisture problems and we had to address it before hey would do anything. We do not have a moisture problem. We had to take the siding off the house and redo it with vinyl. The company who did the siding told us we didn't have any water problem. Rhino Shield finally said they would re-paint but we had to fix the water problem. We opted out of having Rhino Shield to do anything else to our house. I wouldn't hire them, or for that matter, anyone that is representing Rhino Shield. They do not stand behind their work and they are extremely expensive.

Do not let them near your house! The sales pitch promises a showplace when done, you will be able to see the grain in the shingles once all the old paint is stripped off, warranted for a life time, a professional crew focused on perfection. Noting could be further from the truth. The presentation of the contract was accompanied by the claim that this price was only good for that day and that day only. Unexpected high pressure even though I had done research and was fairly sure that this is the way I wanted to go for my next paint job, didn't expect the high pressure. Come painting time only the paint that was loose was stripped off if they saw it. Shrub branches were broken off and stuffed back into the shrub to be later found as the branches turned brown. Gardens away from the house were trampled and paint brushes were cleaned in the flower beds. Gutters were broken and had to be repaired. Chipped and crazed paint on the house was not feathered and smoothed out before painting. Now with the final coat in place you can certainly see the grain of the singles that were lucky enough to have been stripped and also see were the paint was previously chipped off or crazed all covered with a nice new coat of Rhino-Shield. Straight lines on trim could have been better done by a kindergarten class. Bathroom and kitchen exhaust vents were painted closed with the primer and final coat. I guess they had so much fun doing it the first time they decided to do it again. The final coat was thin in spots and had to be touched up when pointed out to the final inspection. House paint appeared in spots on trim and the trim work had to be redone in spots. Before they were finished paint was already peeling off of the foundation. Varnish on the exterior door was ruined and two months later paint on the front landing is already bubbling. Additional work that was contracted for was done so poorly that it had to be stripped and sanded off. Paint on the front porch is already starting to develop bubbles under the paint. If you don't mind watching every step and pointing out missed finish coat, peeling final paint, for the price Rhino-Shield is the company for you.

We are pleased with the work, the crew and the entire team as a whole. They were prompt, respectful, and honest throughout the entire process. We feel this was a great investment, especially with the warranty.

We were extremely please with Anderson and his crew who were extremely courteous and professional. They took great care of our home and property and did a fantastic job.

The process went a little longer than we expected, but this had to do more with weather than anything else. The contractor that was hired as a third party painter did his best, but communication was difficult at times due to a language barrier. There were a couple of minor mistakes that were made, but the painter made it a point to come back and go through our punch list. The house looks great. Time will tell now if the product will last as it is advertised. This product is an excellent way to keep the beauty of your house going for many years with minimal upkeep. I would recommend this for anyone's home.

We were very pleased with the final outcome. After an entire power wash, the house was completely primed prior to the final colors being applied. The most difficult part of the process was on our part..........choosing the colors! Before leaving, the crew did a final walk through to touch up any needed spots. They even added a second coat to an interior porch wall upon my request. They were very helpful and friendly at all times. The crew left the unused paint for my use. I have since added some to places around my home that were not under contract to be treated by the company. I LOVE working with the paint.!

I am thrilled with the way the house turned out, even more so that my husband liked the colors I picked. Rhino Shield matched the colors I picked perfectly. The crew that did the work was courteous, friendly and professional. They started work as soon as they arrived. They made sure the area was clean though out and at the end of the day. Working with the sales rep and office personal was a pleasure. They were friendly and professional. They explained the whole process to us. When we had questions and concerns they were understanding and helped us with any issues.

Everything went as planed and I love the new look.

The team that came to do the work (Elias and his contracted crew) were professional, fast, and minimally restrictive to our ability to use our home - considering there were maybe 5 days of sunshine the whole month, the job was still completed for the entire home (which is a raised ranch) in 2 weeks. The job was done to our satisfaction and payment was easy and straightforward.

John, Your service guys just finished touch-up at my house. First, this answers the question I always had about your company actually fulfilling the promise of supporting your warranty. You guys did. It is important to let businesses know when they do right because people will sure as **** complain. I am impressed with the guys who came, the quiet professionalism and thoroughness they exhibited. In addition, I was alerted to a couple of carpentry issues that I should have addressed. This all being said, my next stop is to make a full-endorsement post on my towns Yahoo group to tell everyone that your company really does what it says. The entire application crew was punctual, polite and professional. Contact with office staff was informative, knowledgeable and kind. VERY satisfied with overall experience. Have already referred many friends and associates. LOVE that RhinoShield is eco-friendly! Save the environment (say "no" vinyl siding), save your back & your wallet (say "no" to painting year after year) and GO RHINO!

Company did a good job at time of service. Painters were professional and punctual and we were happy with their performance. The issue is with the warranty which was a major factor in our decision to choose Rhino Shield. The warranty is simply a lie. We've had staining, rot and discoloration in the two years since the project was completed and company refuses to repair as promised. They have said such things as "the warranty doesn't cover staining", "we're to busy for touch up work" and "we didn't make enough money on your job to support warranty claims". Again, they did a good job just know if you choose them that the warranty is not worth the paper it is written on. We are forced to hire another painter to do touch up work just a couple years after project was completed.
