Description of Work: Came to clean my fireplace, sent a person without experience. He took pictures, discovered a hole about the size of a nickel, where the flue closes. He called the shop, spoke with someone, said I could not use the fireplace, for safety reasons and that they would get me an estimate for repairs. About three weeks later I got a receipt for the bill paid. |I went to the store, spoke with someone, who took my name and said someone would contact me about the estimate. |Almost a year later, I got an email that said it was time to have my chimney cleaned. Really? Even though, I was annoyed with this lack of professionalism, I chose to call the owner, she assured me that she would set up an appointment with one of their top guys and have him come to my house for a meeting. |Meeting went well, I would get an estimate for both a new gas insert or to have the repairs done to my wood burning fireplace. Well, after three months they sent me estimate via email and when I did not respond via snail mail and then again via email. Needless to say, I went with another company.

Description of Work: Converted my wood burning fireplace to a gas long fireplace. The service was excellent and the people who they referred, the fellow who measured and installed my new screen, and Crown plumbing were all excellent as well. My new fireplace screen cost more than I expected but worth every dollar I paid. I love my new fireplace! Would work with Dan again! |

Description of Work: The salesmen were very helpful early on and assisted in my choice of a wood burning insert. The flu cleaners and installers were very efficient, personable and the installers cleaned everything up after doing a great job installing the insert. All of my questions were answered in a timely manner and the whole process went seamlessly.

Description of Work: Very disappointed in the overall experience of having this company install an indoor gas fireplace. Our contact was far less than helpful, we ended up doing most of his project management work.

Description of Work: Quoted me for services that I did not need, total estimated more than twice what other company quoted. When I asked for refund of $125 fee paid I paid for estimate, I had to call them 4 times and then email once. It took well over a month to get refund. Overall frustrating experience.

Description of Work: Sweep 4 fireplaces in original Cape residence (circa 1760) and rear chimney En Suite addition (1940's or 1950's), installed new throat damper for 3 fireplaces in Cape, install custom stainless steel screening for both Cape and En Suite chimney caps above roof line (painted black), Smoketite all 4 fireplace chambers in original Cape to seal gaps. All work was done as proposed, the only drawback being the need to coordinate with an ongoing major remodel of the entire residence. Very impressed with the overall knowledge and professionalism of our August West service provider - Tony.
