Bob met with us on site, took measurements, and provided us with a sketch of a floor plan. He suggested several good options for updating our kitchen layout and floor plan.

Bob was on time, went over all the pros and cons of what we were looking to do. Once I explained we were looking to add a little space to get our family through a couple more years and then plan to sell the house, he was able to come up with an idea that really worked.

Jane arrived on time and listened for an hour before we walked the property and took measurements for an hour. Her ideas were very good and caused a shift in our plans and thinking. Best of all, if her design works, it will save us time and money. Plans came and the plan is adequate for our needs.

I spoke with them before I purchased the Big Deal and explained that I wanted measurements and blue print designs. We both knew what my expectations were before-hand. However, the final product did not come close. I spoke with her after I received the final product and she agreed that it did not meet any expectation. I will be seeking a refund.

Owner of the company came. Just designed sketch by hand, did not get much out the three and half hours. I have a small bathroom and that was the only space that could be completed in the time. Did not feel like I got my money’s worth. There were no computer aided designs. She was very particular about the time. I asked for computer graphics, but she did it by hand and said she would mail it. Still haven’t received it.

OK I guess. Now to be fair at the outset, it's not like we had a very specific project in mind. Rather, my wife had a long laundry list of projects she wants to do, and she wanted me to discuss all of them with the architect, in the hope of narrowing down what's most feasible. So we weren't going to be getting into detailed drawings for any of them. I didn't expect that. She came and I walked her through the house and discussed the various ideas. She had some insights, and gave me a few napkin sketches (e.g., what a "shed dormer" looks like), but really what I wanted was some solid advice on what to do vs. not do, and very rough ballpark costs, to help prioritize. That wasn't her strength. Also, her sense of the proper use of time was off. As noted, I was paying for her time. While we were in the basement, she noted that I had a guitar in a case, and asked me if I played. I said, sometimes. She said, "Play something now!" That rubbed me the wrong way - I wasn't paying her to listen to my guitar playing. We ended early, after 3 hrs, with a 0.5 hr credit left to be applied to detailed drawings once I selected a project. That said, I won't use them for the next step. Overall, I'm not dissatisfied with the value I got for the Big Deal - I did get 3 hrs of an architect for a bit more than $60/hr, and it did help me narrow the options - but I didn't click with her and wouldn't use them for the next stage of a project. So count me as reasonably satisfied with this purchase, but not inclined to take the next step.

They were very nice and helpful. I was looking to do some work on the façade of my home. They did an initial design, and although I didn’t choose to use their work, they were very nice to work with.

It went very well. I did have to pay for 2 extra hours at $90/hr but got some very good, rough sketches of what I might do with the home.

We e-mailed back an forth for about 5 to 6 messages and they never scheduled the appointment!!!! It was extremely frustrating as I do not have the time to waste this way I simply wanted what the big deal promised; a visit and a plan or some ideas (not even asking for a design!).

After meeting at my home to discuss the scope of work in detail it was determined I would need a structural engineer not a design architect. I wanted to replace a load bearing wall, I was informed on site that they could only draft plans for a span less than 13 feet. My span was 18ft. The next day I was informed they would process my refund without a problem since they could not do the work. I appreciate their honesty and prompt responses. I will definitely keep them in mind for my smaller projects.

Seemed very disorganized. Did not seem to have the tools to make an informed opinion.

Went well. Very happy with the meeting, suggestions and the preliminary drawings.

Bob came promptly but appeared hurried. We tried to accommodate his schedule as best we can but he remained unhappy. However, he provided us drawings for removing the support wall and replacing with the correct beam which was very helpful.

I purchased this angies list coupon and additional bunch of hours at full price to get to a logical closure. The architectural space layout for my kitchen, new bathroom, patio layout - all these within existing structure of an old house was discussed . I wanted to get professional ideas on how best to make use of the space for my remodeling project. Both the architects were nice to interact, were professional.

They were great. The gentleman from Artios Architects was very knowledgeable. I only paid what I paid through Angie’s List, and the price was excellent. The consultation went great. We didn’t hire them so we really can't comment on the work, but he definitely was polite and knowledgeable and responsive. I have no complaints. I would absolutely consider using them in the future if we decide to move forward with our project.

They are doing the work as specified, and everything is going well thus far. Furthermore, it was easy getting in touch to schedule, the consultations have been going smoothly, and they arrive on time for the appointments.

After I contacted Jane Estella, the Artios Architects President, she immediately set up a meeting including herself, Bob Radovic, the architect, my wife, and me to discuss the design of the home that we wanted to build. We were assured that they would be able to complete the design and provide the drawings that would be required to obtain the building permit for our home for the quote that they provided; a commitment that they kept. From that point forward Bob worked closely with us and our building contractor to complete the design. Whenever we had a question or concern Bob addressed it immediately. We also made several changes as the design matured which Bob addressed in a timely manner. Shortly after the design was completed, we were informed by our building contractor that he needed the house to be flipped to better accommodate the building site. Again Bob addressed this right away. Once we received the final drawings we were able to obtain the building permit with no problem. I have worked with a lot of people over the years but I have never worked with anyone as professional and accommodating as Jane and Bob.

We would set a price and they would do everything we needed within that price. I feel like I get a great value out of their work.

It went ok except it had to br revamped twice.

I have not heard back from them. It takes about 1-5 minutes to schedule an appointment on my busy calendar. Don't know why it takes more than 2 business days to schedule an appointment on their calendar.

ARTIOS ARCHITECTS came to give me an idea on moving my basement stairs to a new location. I am very pleased with ARTIOS ARCHITECTS. Bob Radovic came to the house he spent a good amount of time with us going on where to relocate the stairs. We came to agree on a new location although not ideal but better than where they are now/were (removed stairs during some prior renovations).

It was good. I just want the basic design and that was all I got. There was a couple of little new things. It was fine for the money. It wasn't too innovative. It was kind of things I already thought about. He actually offered to do some more tweaking for free but I just never got back to him. He was a little late but it was fine.

He was professional and provided some really good ideas on how to fit a lot into a little space. The only advise I would give is to be very explicit as he is quite thorough. A couple of the measurements (such as an over-sized antique sink which is being reduced to a normal sized one) were based on current, not future items but I had not specified what was being installed. However, they were very easy to remedy with the cabinet designers. The construction has started and there were a few glitches, although not necessarily the fault of the architect. Upon demolition of a wall, we discovered pipes that could not be moved. This necessitated the moving of a wall by 6-7 inches. While this doesn't sound like a very big change, it did require some significant changes to the layout. Also, we lost some additional space with code-required larger walls. All in all, the experience was positive. We would never have thought of some of the ideas that he did and we are pleased with the current layout.

Very responsive in purchase and willing to work with us on timing of appointment. Was on time and professional, good ideas and thoughts on problems and gave great advise on possible solutions. Quick turn around on drawings and provided multiple mockups for us to chose from for the final design.
