Description of Work: Armstrong Fencing came out immediately to inspect rotted rear yard fencing. Received an estimate for services same day. Upon authorization, work was begun within week and a half. + -1 moreBecause of my experience with the salesman/estimator I did not pursue a quote from this company nor did I contract with them.
Description of Work: I called 4 companies on Angie's list in my area to provide an estimate for a combination of vinyl and chain link fence at my home. I work in the construction industry and therefore had a drawing prepared and had done some research. This was the last of the four estimators to come to my home. He was rude and kept insisting on his ideas while at the same time he kept saying “you’re the client so I'll do what you want but....". I also believe he was not honest with me when giving me explanations for his opinions and why what I wanted to do would be more difficult and/or more expensive. Some of the explanations were ridiculous and I worry that others who do not have exposure to the industry would be taken advantage of. 3 other A rated service providers had already been to my home and had worked WITH me to get the aesthetic I was looking for without complaining it would be too difficult or threatening it would be too expensive. I eventually just asked him to leave as he became more and more difficult and the explanations when questioned became more and more ridiculous.

+ -1 moreArmstrong did a great job. We called them in when the back fence on our brand new house collapsed, leaving a gaping hole to the street! They immediately came out, set us up for the job, and were back within days to start. It literally took them a 1/2 day to get our new fence up, and it looks amazing! They cleaned up the yard and took away the old fence. Even when it started to snow, they stayed and finished the job. We expect to be enjoying the fence for years to come.

+ -1 moreI called Armstrong to come out for an estimate. The salesman was prompt and went over everything thoroughly with me. I had some questions later and the salesman a little slow in responding but he did get back to me and also apologized and said he was very busy. I also visited the store to check out the actual product. I put down a deposit which according to the person there would hasten my installation appointment. Well, I waited a week or 2 with no word so I called them (after all, they had my money) and from there on things went pretty smoothly. The work went as described above. The workman was on time and did well even in the cold, rainy weather. He had trouble navigating our steep driveway and blocked some cars in but it all worked out fine in the end.
Description of Work: Armstrong installed a 48' four feet high fence along my property. The workman had to drill into rock for some of the post holes; the holes went down 2 1/2 feet (I believe) and all posts were cemented in. Also some posts had stiffening sleeves inserted. These steps afforded a lot of stability. The job took a few hours and I was very pleased with the results.

+ -1 moreOverall, work was performed timely, professionally and neatly. The owner inspected all work upon completion. The only problem was that rocks dug from the side property line to accommodate the fence posts were left along the edge of the front grass in an unsightly pile. When the owner was contacted about this issue, he offered to send someone out to remove the rocks.
Description of Work: Installed 6 ft. fence along driveway, 4 ft. picket fence at head of driveway and four lengths of 6 ft. fence along side property line.

ARMSTRONG FENCE & LANDSCAPE INC offers the following services: We are a one stop shop for your fencing needs. We estimate, fabricate and install high end vinyl, wood, chain link, aluminuim and specialty items such as mailbox posts, lantern posts, pergolas, arbors and Seaside Casual outdoor furniture. All of our work is done in house with our own salesman, fabricators and installers. We service full scale jobs and repair work as well. We work with both residential and commercial accounts. We sell full jobs or just the parts if you want to DIY.
While we do offer repair work, we are very selective as to repair jobs that are not our own material. We also do not repair fences that came from Lowes or Home Depot. Give us a call and we can tell you over the phone if the repair is something we can help you with.
