They did a great Job, professional and very nice. Response time is quick. Very helpful with the papers works.

As I stated above- When winter came the radiators furthest away never worked again. No heat in kitchen, No heat in bathroom, no heat in living room. My husband and I called and left several messages with no return call. I have had to hire another steam heat service who stated this boiler was never vented, is full of debris and oil. They have been here two days putting in new pipes to vent and bleeding system and skimming. It will be expensive and my new plumber asked me the name of who put this system in and never did it correctly causing me a lot of extra money.

Rob was a pleasure to work with. He took the time to explain every detail of the process in terms I could understand. He asked me questions about our specific situation so that he could be sure to tailor his service to our needs. His extensive knowledge of heating systems and the process of converting to natural gas is evident. Rob was prompt and ontime. As well as professional and neat. I would be confident recommending his services to anybody.

After installation, I noticed an existing vent was missing from my basement ductwork. After calling the plumber they said I didn't need it. I disagreed stating my concern for keeping basement warm during winter preventing pipes from freezing. It took three weeks for the plumber to return and fix the problem. This week, 10/20/2015 I turned my furnace on for the first time. After running for two days, I noticed a small flood of water in my basement, in a finished room! It turns out, the water pipe that goes into a pump was never connected when the AC system was installed back in June. I tried contacting the plumber multiple times over three days, no answer. I even texted the plumber and showed pictures, no response. I contacted another plumber in the area. This person answered the phone and came out same day. The confirmed the drain pipe was never connected. They had to modify the PCV connection as it was lower due to the new AC system. The pipe was connected and pump tested. I ended up getting a new pump as the other one was a few years old - something I had asked the other plumber to do - but was never done! This service call was $241. I should send the bill to Affordable Heating & AC! Service goes hand-in-hand - a plumber can't install without servicing their work! I would not recommend Affordable Heating & AC to anyone!

Hot water and heat stopped working on a Friday - it is a year and a half old. . My calls to the original installer resulted in them offering to send someone to look at it after a lot of arguing - but they wanted me to pay time and a half - $193/hr. they stop work at 3pm. I called the manufacturer who gave me the names of companies that service this particular system. This time I checked Angie's list. By the time I called it was after 4pm. Rob called me back within an hour. He came on Monday. He found that the system was incorrectly installed and walked me through the problems. Although he could fix it he suggested I call the original installer because of the cost. He also offered to talk with the other company and go over the problem. What a difference from the original installer. I will use him always in the future to maintain the system. And I learned my lesson - check Angie's list and do due diligence on who you hire!

We had a great experience working with Rob Norton from Affordable Heating and AC. This is our first home, so we had no experience with converting heat sources. During the initial quote, Rob walked us through the different stages and explained what would need to be done and what his company would take care of if we went with them. Based on price and our comfort with his knowledge regarding the conversion, we went with his company. He helped guide us on how to set up the gas line install (we had a gas line on our street, but there was no line drawn to the house) and was very quick to respond when it came time to set up the boiler installation. He was very considerate regarding timeframe and worked with us to find a time/day that worked so that we wouldn't be left without hot water for more than a day. Overall, it was a great experience.

We had the gas company install a gas line to our home. Rob set a date to remove oil burner , install a new gas and hot water unit, had town inspector come and have gas company hook up to house. Everything was working that same day!!!. We were so pleased at how smoothly everything went. . Professional, organized, and did what they set out to do. Have and will continue to highly recommend this company.. It was our responsibility to have oil tank removed, but knew that right from the beginning. They are affordable and honest. You can't go wrong with them.

My experience involved replacing the original gas furnace and central air conditioning system of my 25 year old home. Rob arrived promptly at the time we had agreed upon to provide me with a proposal. He thoroughly inspected the existing system inside and outside. He explained in detail the options available for my situation. I received the proposal at our meeting; it was complete and outlined all facets of the project. The pricing was competitive and furnace/ac unit from a respected manufacturer. On the day of the installation Rob and his partner were very punctual. They took one day to perform the work which is what he had estimated ahead of time. They were very courteous and neat cleaning up after completing the job. Rob also completed the GasNetworks rebate forms for me. I would definitely use this company again in the future. Their work was superb and expertly done.

Our downstairs AC unit stopped working on a very HOT day. We called Robert and another AC repair company that was referred. We waited a few hours for the other company to call us and they didn't so I found Robert on Angies list. Within 20 minutes of my call he called us back. He was able to walk through the issue with my husband to see if he could get it to start. The AC didn't work but Robert came that Monday morning because this was Friday afternoon and fixed the unit in under an hour.

The central air conditioning went down at our rental home during a very hot week. I received a call from our tenants about the problem. I called Affordable Heating and A/C on Wednesday and made an appointment for that Friday. Robert Norton arrived promptly. He checked out all the possibilities, and discovered that it was a bad condenser. He replaced it with a new one he had in his truck. The whole job; assessing and fixing the problem within an hour's time.. I couldn't be more pleased with Robert's work. He determined the problem ,did his work carefully, and explained to me what he was doing and why. He gave us some suggestions on the use of the A/C. I was very impressed with his combination of professionalism and pride in his work; and would recommend him for similar work elsewhere. Needless to say, our tenants were very pleased at the prompt response and the resumption of their A/C. The whole process was a very positive experience.

They installed a new unit. They were very good. They were very efficient. They finished the job in few hours and the service is up and running.

I contaced the Gas company of an evaluation of my heating system. The company that initially inspected my heating system said that most likely the system would need updating. I asked for an estimate for a new heating system.Which I received. I found Affordable Heating in the local telephone book. With an offer of inspection and cleaning for the upcoming season for $100- I contacted him and had the inspection done. He informed me that he did as much as he could and that he could not guarantee that the system would make it through the season. He gave me his card and told me to call if I needed servicing. He was not trying to sell me a new system. I asked him to submit an estimate for replacement. He responed within a few days and included the offer to refund the initial fee for services and a list of rebates for a new unit. His pricing was not that much more than the initial estimate. I checked him on Angies List and he had a good rating. He was very professional, he and his co-workers were very clean in appearance and most helpful. Mr Norton arrived on the specified date and completed the installaltion, removal and clean up of all equipment. He filled out the required forms for rebatement and as I was not home when he left, he called that evening to see if I was satisfied with the work. Both Mr Norton and his associate that I met were very forthcoming in the pros and cons of keeping the old verses the new. My old system was working at 75% and this is at 96% and energy effecient. I am very satisfied and confident that if I need assistance with this unit that Mr Norton and his company will be readily available. This was a replacement of a gas boiler and combined boiler/water heating unit which is reflected in the price.

I liked this company, and would have used them except that I ended up using another company because they had the same brand equipment that I was replacing.

It went as I fully expected. He gave me a $100 quote on a tune up. That was what was charged. He spent 45 minutes to an hour performing seasonal maintenance. When he came back, he patched that up at no charge.

Rob, from Affordable Heating and Air Conditioning, answered my call promptly. We arranged a date, and he was very prompt when he came. He was very knowledgeable, very professional, and above all they did a wonderful job. I had one or two prices that came in just slightly under Affordable Heating and Air Conditioning, but I chose them because they responded so quickly and seemed to be so courteous and professional, and I am so happy that I chose them. We are toying with the idea of getting air conditioning, and I will absolutely consider using them again. They were just terrific and he was such a nice guy. My basement was as clean as could be when they left, and I was so pleased with them.
