Advance Asphalt

After getting scammed by this company myself and then doing some research, it seems this company gets most of their work going door to door with "extra asphalt" telling people they'll do top coats for a discounted price, but actually charge more than if you called for a quote. They also told me they'd regrade part of my driveway and didn't. The owner showed up to start the work and was very rude when I voiced my concerns and then smoked a joint while running the paver. I was left with uneven lines from the roller, edges that were never cleaned up/compressed and have since started to crumble, boot marks, and weeds growing through and pushing up asphalt in some spots. The morning after I left a review on on google, the owner showed up ringing my doorbell and calling my phone off the hook at 7am. I texted him to leave as I was busy feeding my infants and he continued to call and call. This guy is money hungry and couldn't care less about providing good service or a quality job.

Very bad damaged house electrical system and would not send an electrician to fix it

Great. Work was done on time, as scheduled. Crew was polite and clean up was perfect. Bill, the owner, oversaw the job to our satisfaction. I will hire them again in the Fall to seal coat the driveway.

Terrible - I do not recommend hiring Advance Asphalt. They refused to finish the job that I paid them cash to do, and prior to it completing. They stated they'd come to finish off the small amount when they'd be in the neighborhood, which of course never happened. Once I called, a nice woman said she'd get someone out. I assumed it was the workers coming to finish, but instead it was Bill who absolutely is the most disrespectful, unethical business man I've ever encountered. He continuously tried to blame me in obnoxious manner for wanting my driveway finished and then would turn and blame his co-worker brother. Avoid this company at all costs, and never pay cash.

After the job was done the next day I noticed crevices on one side of the driveway. William Dyer refused to come and look at it and repair it. After he argued with me belittled me Etc he finally came 2 weeks later and it only took 20 minutes to fix what I was talking about. Very poor professionalism. Now the job has been done about a month now and I have weeds growing out of the asphalt. 4th of July I had people over and on lawn chairs and the chairs sunk into the tar. It was only 84 degrees out so not hot enough to melt the asphalt. If the owner just came the next day to fix the crevices I would have been happy but he already got paid in cash by me and had bigger jobs to do so I was pushed to the back burner. Very unhappy. I think that's why he wants cash so you can't cancel a check. He also told me that it's very difficult to change the name of your company. So I investigated and found a company called AdvanceD Asphalt with the same Pembroke address that the BBB was involved with. I would never recommend this company to anyone. William Dyer has a lot of growing up to do and how to treat customers. I think a lot of the customers they gave him an A were family and friends. Now at the end of my driveway there is a big drop/slope which puddles when it rains. Can't wait for snow & ice to come the snow plow will probably crumble the end of my driveway that's how far of a drop there is. I could go on and on with the worries. Just awful all around and very unhappy

Advance Asphalt did an amazing job on my driveway. They were punctual, responsible and professional. I would 100% hire them and recommend them. Overall they are really nice and answered all of my questions.

Not Good at all

Started immediately and spent all day to complete it. There was some additions and currently still waiting on the final invoice to be given. There hasn't been much rain but today I see a few pockets in areas where water pools and there is a hard line, where they had to manual set the asphalt and the use of the machine for the straight away.

This is a follow up regarding the 5.7.20 review. I guess the honeymoon is over! After letting my driveway sit for 5 days, ( I didn't park on it or even walk on it ), I found a seam down the middle of the driveway. I called the owner and he guaranteed that it's normal. But when you look closely you can see the gravel... there is no tar. Also while they were digging the old driveway up, there was about two feet from the end of my driveway to the sidewalk that was not touched. When I pointed it out and requested it be dug up, I got a runaround story. The boss is very Charming and when you're getting your driveway done after 21 years you're excited and will believe anything anyone tells you. Now I have a good two feet of driveway that was never done and a large seam in the middle of my driveway. I was told when they come back to seal coat that it'll be covered up. But what I fear is it'll be weak in that spot, and once the snow plow goes over it, I'll be back to the old crumbled driveway. He was asked to be paid in cash and now I know why..... there's no way to put a stop on anyting if you're unhappy with the work. I am a 54 year old single woman and I think I got the runaround. Just saying.....

The workers were competent, experienced, and efficient. They worked as team to get the job done fast. The company uses state of the art equipment making the job quick and professional.

The folks at Advance Asphalt were very enthusiastic.. they were eager for the business and as a result they came immediately to make a quote; they were clear about what they recommended and what it would cost, although I always recommend (in retrospect) that it's good to get every detail clear and in writing. Anyhow they were raring to go, did the work almost immediately, did a great job, cleaned up really well, charged a price that seemed quite reasonable compared to other quotes, and galloped off into the sunset at the end of the day........

They were very professional and puntual

Advance Asphalt Paved Our Driveway , And Out Of 6 Companies In The Ma Area, Their Estimate Was The Most Reasonable. Very Professional ...Showed Up On Time For Both Consultation As Well As The Day Of The Job . Even Handled Traffic Passing By . Very Polite. And Very Hard Workers. Stayed On Task All Day Until The Job Was Completely Finished. Our Driveway Is Very Large And It Was Perfectly Shaped Exactly As We Wanted , It Looks Great! We Are Very Pleased. Would Recommend Them To Anyone !
