SINCLAIR HARDWOOD FLOORS

We had hardwood installed in one of our rooms and the old hardwood refinished to match. Form the start Tom and team were great to work with. After the initial estimate Tom walked us through the timeline and process while listening to our concerns/inputs. His team showed up on day 1 and they were done 4 days later as promised. Tom kept us updated via text to any issues and when we should walk on the floors or move in furniture. Overall Tom was great to work with and we would definitely hire again.

Tom did a nice job and he was very responsive. I would use him again in the future. He is knowledgable and a genuine nice person.

Tom's a great guy, was quick to come out, great to work with - and did a nice job overall, including cleanup and management of dust kicked up from sanding, etc. Would contact again for sure next time I need hardwoods done.

Right after we closed on our house, we needed to have the floors refinished prior to moving in. Tom met with us at the house, went over the process, and provided an estimate. He completed the work in a timely fashion and even did a few extra things like add in a piece of wood to make the closet doors close after we removed carpet (for a small fee). One year later, the floors still look beautiful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others.

They were friendly and responsive. They could have sanded my floors better and not put ruts in a brand new floor. They could have cleaned and prepped better. They could have not left dust throughout and could have not left swirl marks. I think I could have got a better glass finish on the floor because it just does not feel very smooth but that’s related to the dust.

Tom Sinclair was able to assess our original floor, then quote, and start working on our floors quite quickly, despite it being a busy time. He was quite flexible when it came to completing the work while we had other renovations happening at the same time. The job was completed in phases, and Tom remained in contact throughout and kept to his schedule. I was very impressed with his punctuality and professionalism especially in terms of scheduling the work. The finished floor is beautiful, we're very satisfied and would certainly consider getting quotes for other projects.

Tom Sinclair and his team were and continue to be the best contractors my wife and I have ever dealt with. From start to finish, Tom was present each day and took great care and pride in his work. On top of this, Tom was supportive even after the job was completed - about 3 weeks after the job, we had new appliances delivered and Tom took time out of his day to ensure the floors would not be damaged when put into place. To my wife and I, this showed just how much Tom cares about his finished product. Clearly, he understands how to run a business. He is responsive, courteous, and knowledgeable.

I contacted Mr. Sinclair several times in an attempt to have him come by to give me an estimate. Each time he'd arrange a rough time frame and said he would call back to confirm. He never did that. So I never got him to even give me an estimate.

Tom and his crew were professional, friendly, easy to talk to and responsive to any questions my wife and I had. The finished product looks great, just as we expected. Tom and his crew showed up on time and completed the job in less than two days. Tom and the crew relieved us of the responsibility of moving the stove, refrigerator and the dishwasher. They handled the moving and re-installation of these appliances where necessary. My wife and I are totally pleased with the work and would not hesitate at all to employ Tom for any job that may arise in the future.

Work was done while we went on vacation. It was finished when we returned. We forgot to mention a couple of spots that needed repair. Tom came back and repaired them for very reasonable cost.

Overall everything went quite well. I called up and left a message and they got back to me the next day. From there we set up a time for him to check out the floors. He was perfectly on time and very efficient/informative when at my house. He drew up a proposal and emailed it over to me. The price was competitive and we felt comfortable with him so we booked it. After that he showed up each day and did what he had to do. We were out of the house (2 dogs and 2 kids) so he let himself in and out. He taped drapes to the openings so the floor dust didn't spread to upstairs. After he was done, clean up was a breeze. There was VERY little dust on anything (and my wife is kinda c lean freak). The smell wasn't even that bad! Overall we are very happy with the job that he did, and his level of professionalism. The floors came out great (even got the pit marks out) and he was a pleasure to deal with. I would recommend him to any of my family or friends.

I was looking for a refinished hard wood floor installation in two of bed rooms. I got several quotes and Tom is one of them. I got crazy quotes from several people. Some companies tried to change my plan from refinished to unfinished floors. Tom's quote is reasonable when compared to others. He is very professional, punctual and knowledgeable. He is very accommodating to our requests. If I have to do anything with the hardwood floors, I will definitely contact him. After he installed the hardwood floors, a scratch was made very next day. He took time to come back and touched it up. If you are planning to have hardwood floors in your home, its worth talking to Tom. You will be glad.

Sinclair Hardwood came out to give us an estimate for sanding/ refinishing hardwood floors and some patchwork. They arrived on time, gave us one of the more competitive prices we had received, and were very responsive throughout our conversations and email. They were also flexible in willing to work with our contractor on timing with kitchen cabinets going in, but in the end I ended up doing the work myself which I although floors came out good I can appreciate the work they do and would certainly look to get another quote from them in the future.

Our hardwood floor installation experience with Sinclair Hardwood Floors was truly excellent. Tom Sinclair is a thorough professional, and we recommend Tom wholeheartedly as one of the most competent service providers we had pleasure to work with. Tom and his crew were always prompt and punctual in starting their work, extremely hard working and meticulous in their work, and importantly, courteous and patient while explaining the details about the work needed to get done, as well as the best options from their cost and benefits standpoint. They removed our old appliances, installed the new ones (Dish washer and cooking range/oven), took care of the necessary electrical connections, any plumbing matters with troubleshooting unexpected complications.....there were a few issues that were in fact resolved with Tom?s ingenuity and expert solutions. Finally, when Tom and crew have finished their work in promised timeline of three to four days, our kitchen and new hardwood floor looks absolutely fabulous. The workmanship and attention to details are exceptionally remarkable, and speaks a thousand words. After completing the installation job, they managed cleaning the kitchen and other affected areas (living room and dining room) so well after themselves that we were, once again, totally impressed with the quality of their job. It was as if the kitchen flooring was brand new, and that there was no work going on in the house at all. We will definitely use their services again, if required for installing hard wood flooring in other rooms in our house. What is more impressive is that Tom always responded to our calls immediately, regardless of what time of the day we had called - and when it was required, Tom visited our home even at late night to help us out in resolving the issue. This, in our view, goes above and beyond the call of duty. It was evident from the moment Tom and his crew arrived that their primary goal is to ensure that the customer is happy. They take pride in their work and it shows. I would hire them again without any reservations.

The original job I hired Sinclair Floors to do - replace the kitchen floor was done in a timely manner. The additional jobs were of course extra and were done over a series of weeks. in conclusion, I would recommend this company to others.

Everything went according to the proposal. Very professional. Neat and punctual.

We had to delay\reschedule with Tom a couple times. Never once did he complain even with the short notice. The floors came out great. We did not want a high gloss look so Tom put down the first two coats with a medium gloss finish. He had us come look at it before the third coat went down. Good thing he did as we did decided to make it shine a bit more and the final coat was a higher gloss finish. This work is a major inconvenience because the areas we needed done could not be used for three days We had to stay with family. But it was done on schedule as promised. Tom asked us how we learned about his company. Told him Angie's list. He said he gets one to two jobs off the Angie's list site per month. He also said Angies list was charging hte vendor $190 a month to be listed. Further he said the prices had just gone up to something like $290. I had no idea Angie's list made money off of the vendors and the consumers. I am disappointed by the rates they charge vendors, who for the most part seem to be small businesses.

He provided excellent craftmanship with the install and had all the specialty tools to ensure the flooring looked great. He suggested we use a final coating that will provide protection for the flooring with two young boys who are very active within this section of the house. It has almost been a year and the floor still looks fantastic and is showing little wear.

The owner of this company is Thomas Sinclair. I would say that he did a nice job. Quality wise his flooring was better than the carpentry. I will use him in the future.

This job was a last minute decision as we wanted to take advantage of being away for a week on vacation. We received a couple quotes, relatively close in price but decided to go with Tom as he had some good ideas from a color blending perspective and just liked his responsiveness in general. He was able to accommodate fitting us in with 1 weeks notice and felt completely comfortable leaving the key to the house with him for the week while we were away. We also scheduled our new stove to be delivered (and the old one removed) the day prior to Tom coming in to replace the floor. He coordinated a plumber to come down once the hardwood flooring was installed to install our new gas range so when we returned the following weekend everything would be in place. My wife and I were thrilled at the end result and the color matching simply exceeded our expectations, the difference was simply night and day - leaving us with the feeling we absolutely made the right decision. The one thing I liked was the fact that Tom was on the job site every day and actually did the installation himself. He was extremely easy to deal with, answered his phone whenever I called and you could tell he took a genuine pride in his work. Overall an excellent experience and will certainly be using him again when it comes to refinishing our next room.
