As we began our kitchen renovation, we spoke with and received quotes from more than 7 different vendors. We had fallen in love with Super White which is extremely hard to find, and is often accompanied by a very high price tag. After comparing all of the quotes and meeting Paula and Carlos in person, it was a no brainer to go with them. Not onnly did they have the very best Super White, they had the best prices to go along with them. They are very professional, yet treat their customers and employees as family. While doing the template, they were open to ideas and we even used one of my sons legos as the inspiration for the bump out around our range! They were also very accommodating with the schedule and hit some pretty aggressive timelines in the middle of the holidays. When I went in to lay out the final template on the stones we had picked out, I saw others that I loved even more. I was really blown away when they let me change to them at the last minute. I really can't say enough about them and have already been recommending them to friends and family. Do yourself a favor and go meet them.

Overall, I was pleased with my experience with Carlos, Amanda and Raul (and the rest of the installation team). I had search for a few weeks for a specific stone and found at slab at the Boston granite exchange. Using that slab numerous other fabricators were quoting me upwards of 4000$ for the same job. Luckily, Carlos had two slabs from the same lot that were just as beautiful (possibly better - matter of opinion) and quoted me 2500 for the job. When mentioning Angieslist, there was no extra discount but I assumed that was because he was giving me the "best" price he could. We placed the order right away and scheduled templating for a few weeks out until the kitchen cabinets were installed. I had to delay templating initially because the appliances were late but they came last minute, and Amanda was very accommodating and put us back in our original slot. Raul was fast and efficient at templating but I found that Amanda was slow to respond often to my inquiries during this point when trying to purchase a moasic backsplash through them as well. In the end, she never gave me a price quote. A few days before installation, they had to push it back 1 day because their machine had broke, which was totally understandable. On the day of installation, they definitely came late but it wasn't much of an issue, other than Amanda should have just been more honest with a realistic time of arrival. Raul and his partner worked very hard to install the counter tops and did an amazing job with what they had. That said, the inside corner of the "L" piece of granite was not a 90 deg cut and it is slightly noticeable that it overhangs more as you move away from the corner. Overall though the piece looks great and they did a great install. The cleaned up well after they were done. I would definitely use Carlos and his team again.

They were very fast and the price was good. They were punctual and everything was good. They quality of installation could have been better because you can see some gaps between the counter top and stove and it is a bit of an eye sore.

My counter top looks great! We had one slight problem with the seam placement. We were given three choices, we spoke to Paula in the office and told her where we wanted the seam to be placed. When they came to install the counter the seam was cut in the wrong place. We went ahead with the installation and the counter looks great. The installers were great. Would use them again.

We selected contrasting granite out of their existing stock. Price was $1000-$3000 below competitors!!! Installed granite on 6th working day after order! Communication with installers and office sometimes a bit difficult, perhaps due to language difficulties. Installers said would finish work next day, then the following day, finally made it the third day, but even after that, they were still FINISHED LESS THAN TWO WEEKS AFTER GRANITE WAS ORDERED! I would definitely use them again.

We worked with Select Marble and Granite to create an estimate for our kitchen counter top install. We choose the slab, they gave us a proposal for the purchase and installation of the counter (and breakfast bar). They gave us a very fair, very competitive bid for the work. They responded promptly and effectively with information. They also seemed very knowledgeable and open about their process. We ended up using a different service, at our contractor's request, but had a great experience with them. So, I wanted to leave a review!

They were quick, professional, and competitively priced. The owner Carlos is very knowledgeable and I highly recommend them for any their services.

I have contacted Select Marble and Granite, after my initial service provider vanished after taking my deposit. My kids were supposed to be coming back from summer vacation and I needed granite countertops installed ASAP. I found Select Marble and Granites on Angie's List and contacted them right away. They came the next day and took all the measurements. Within a week they came and installed my countertops. I was very happy with the results, price and labor. I would recommend Select Marble and Granites if you are looking for reasonable price, punctuality and great results!

I initially contacted them via phone. They were very friendly and I was reassured that they should be able to help me out. Reasonably confident that I wouldn't be wasting my time, I brought in the old broken marble piece so that I could find a good match. I hadn't considered until then that marble and granite are purchased in very large slabs about 2" thick, probably special ordered for each job. They were very friendly and took me outside to look at remnants. (It wouldn't make sense to order a huge slab for such a small piece.) Fortunately, we found a remnant that closely matched the appearance of the older, broken piece. The replacement was ready in 2-3 days. The cost was all labor. This may seem like a lot for a small piece of stone, but it had to be cut and beveled. I'm not an expert on this type of work by any means but would expect that a significant portion of the cost was in reducing the thickess down from 2". I'm sure that's a bit tricky to do without breaking it. Aside from getting a product I'm very happy with, I must emphasize the courtesy of the front office personnel - nothing short of perfect. Also they called me when it was ready to pick up. Often I find myself following up with contractors.

I started by doing a lot of checking around for granit and marble contertop people. Carlos of SMG was very helpful on the phone,. We talked easily and he coached me through the initial stages. When it came time to order our counters, my wife and I went to SMGs shop in Everett and chose a Carrara marble from a number of white and pattered marble sheets SMG had in stock. It wasn't a matter of choosing marble from a sample and hoping the counters would arrive looking similar. We chose our stone and our counters were cut and finished from the slab we selected. The pattern making happened two business day later and the counters were installed 4 days after that. The craftsmen who came were both pleasant and extremely helpful in figuring out special problems we had with our old house and sometimes not square or level cabinets. The final job is absolutely wonderfull. We couldn't ask fpr anything different or better than Select Granit & Marble provided to us and at a price that was 40% less than Lowes or Home Depot quoted us. I recommed SMG wholeheatedly and would use them again for any future work I might need.

Just incredible. We visited the shop because we saw an ad on craigslist. It's hidden and the showroom is very small. Carlos was extremely helpful explaining all the differences between the stones we were looking at. The price was unbeatable, we were comparing with 2 other locations and he beat them by far. They removed and disposed of the old countertop. While everyone else was giving a 2-4 weeks time to have the work done, Carlos did it in 4 days: Day 1: We came to the shop and decided on the type of granite. Day 2: They came to our house to make all the measurements. We gave them coca-cola (maybe this helped). Day 3: We came to the shop again to take a look at our slab and approve it. Day 4: In the afternoon... it was all installed. Couldn't recommend it more.

This was a very pleasant experience. I got estimates from 3 other vendors and Select Granite was by far the least expensive of the 4. Not only that, their turnaround time was unbelievably fast. The other vendors I spoke to said it would take 1 to 1.5 weeks to have the countertop ready for installation. Select Granite had the countertops installed in my home within 3 days! Day 1 - Called for an estimate. Carlos gave me an unbeatable price. Day 2 - They came over to measure the template. Day 3 - They cut the granite to spec and had the sink ready. Day 4 - countertop installation. I could not be happier with the results and quick turnaround. Paula was the person I dealt with on the phone and she was very accommodating. I would highly recommend Select Granite to friends.

I was happy with the work and quick turn around. I also had Carlos do a fireplace hearth a short time later and then my bathroom two years ago. I have recommended him to a number of my friends and went to him just the other day for another fireplace hearth. It is clear through the years that his business has expanded. He now has a small showroom and more employees.
