Once a year, they come out and check the oil burner and if we have any problems, we have 24 service and they come and take care of whatever is wrong. We are long time users and don't plan to switch.

The serviceman that was dispatched arrived at the property and after surveying the problem, said they were unprepared to address the problem. The dispatcher was fully aware the issue was due to carbon monoxide in the house and soot build up. The serviceman was only told that the heater wasn't working. THis lack of communication, refusal to accept the job, unprofessionalism, or whatever the reason was is completely unacceptable. Especially in the winter, after snow, when the problem has left the house without any heat. If you accept a job, and give a time when you are going to be there, you should be there, prepared to execute the task, and professional. Atlas Glenmor was not. They are supposed to send someone else out that is prepared, but that shouldn't be the case. I will update if, they do in fact, return.

We have been using them for over 20 years. They service our burner well and have provided great customer service. I don't mind paying a little more for that service in a higher oil price on top of my repair contract price. I just paid over $3.00 per gallon. Many people I work with pay from $1.99 to $2.29 per gallon. Many of them use full service companies. The driver did not know how much the price would be until the invoice printed out from the printer in the truck. That tells me they use different pricing for different customers. I am paying an extra $200.00 per fill up. I did call the company and they lowered the price a little to 2.69. I will have to switch to another company unless they can adjust their pricing to be more competitive.

I have mixed feelings about then. On the positive side, they are very good with automatic delivery and I never had to worry about my oil being delivered. However, they bet on you not paying attention and try to overcharge you at every opportunity. Both my brother (who lives next door) and I were using them and while we were signed up for the same plan, they were charging us differently...

I'm very pleased with my furnace replacement. Chris, Glen-mor's Home Comfort Adviser first reviewed my installation and directed me to MassSave's Heat Loan program which I was unaware of. The equipment I had discussed with Chris qualified for both a zero-percent, 7-year Heat Loan as well as a $750 rebate. Both of the guys who did the replacement, Jim and Bob, were pleasant and professional. (Jim was here before 7:30 and got right into tearing the old unit out!) Even though they were delayed by damage to the first new furnace, they kept working and when the second furnace arrived, they were still able to complete the installation the same day. Because of their hard work and attention to detail, I feel comfortable that this was a good installation. Even the crew that removed all the old furnace material were pleasant and thorough. The installation passed the final inspections of both MassSave and the City of Melrose with no issues. The new furnace has been operating fine for several weeks now.

Atlas Glen Mor service is horrible and unprofessional. They are one of the most expensive companies out there and they claim to have a fleet of service technicians and best oil prices. Well in my opinion their oil prices are much more expensive due to their overhead costs. Signed up for their annual service contract two years in a row, and every year they have tried to cancel the scheduled service on the last moment, even though they call to confirm the aptt one week before. They need to look into scheduling system and policy of honoring commitments, because people take time off from work so that they can come and do THEIR job. Emergency calls should be handled by emergency group, not scheduled service technicians. What moron calls emergency service when it is still warm outside and they have rush to fix their heat.

They're fine. There price could be more competitive.

I have been a customer forever, so, yeah, they are good. No complaints. They have an automatic show-up. A tank of oil is, probably, $600. They also clean the burner once a year. They just show up when they are supposed to, clean the tank and clean the burner. They are probably on the expensive side but if I have trouble they will be there. They have good quality. Oil is oil, I guess. They did a good job putting in the boiler. They are pretty good at punctuality. I am under contract with them.

They do good. They have the right cost. We spend a couple of thousands a year.

This is a very expensive oil company. Their price per gallon was nearly 30% higher than our current oil service. They were also going to charge twice as much (ca. $4000 instead of $2000) to remove and replace a couple of 60-year-old oil tanks in our house that were starting to rust. While they have been responsive over the years when it came to servicing the burner and providing oil fill-ups, after comparing other companies' prices and services, we felt that Atlas Glen-Mor was too expensive for us.

I had them at a previous residence. My experience with them is fine. They drop off oil and a bill; I don’t really talk to them.

I truly struggle with this review. In my heart-of-hearts, I not only want to give AGM an outstanding review, but for one fatal flaw. So, my furnace was on the fritz. At nearly 30 years old, it was time to be replaced. I had several quotes, and AGM was competitive, though not the lowest. They were my oil company at the time, and I?ve been very happy with my 2+ years of delivery and service, so I went back to them, and they worked with me on the price. They were also very patient as I went through MassSave to obtain a 0% 7 year HEAT Loan. Since more than my furnace was old, I replaced my Furnace and indirect water heater (both with a System 2000) and oil tank. On the day of delivery, AGM came on-time and got right to work. They seemed surprised by the disarray of my zone design. My house is on 5 zones, and the piping was confusing. It was clear to me they were not happy with the allotted time to do the job ? or with the job itself. They were particularly upset about 2 zone valves that were in difficult to reach situations. They called out the technician who quoted me, who insisted he did not mean for them to be replaced. I was notified that they would not replace them, but would bypass them ? and I could have them replaced ? potentially rezoned ? at a future date. I was irate, but also in a difficult spot, considering my furnace was on the fritz. They completed the installation in the time allotted, and the system is warm, quiet, and efficient. Still, like buying a new car that arrives with a large dent, I feel cheated. I hoped that someone ? anyone ? from AGM would follow up with me to rate my satisfaction. No such luck. I don?t know whether to be enthralled or irate. I was told that the bypassed zones will have no impact, other than a small loss in efficiency? but, then, why did I pay for one of the most efficient boilers on the market? I hope that AGM will follow up with me, and will help me make this right. I have been exceedingly happy through the years, but I don?t feel this situation was handled in a fair manner. I would like to come away from this trusting that my system operates efficiency and thoroughness that I paid for. When I am satisfied this is the case, I will adjust my rating accordingly. In summary: they were very professional, they were punctual, and stayed late to finish the job on-time, they worked with us on the price and were patient while we got the financing in place. But for the zone valve issue - and the lack of follow-up on satisfaction - we were very pleased. *UPDATE 1: Oh, the power of Angie's List! Atlas Glen-Mor saw my review, and reached out. They've agreed to complete the install, and we've made an appointment. While I do wish they'd have followed up with me regarding my satisfaction proactively, I credit them for monitoring reviews and responding accordingly. I've tentatively upgraded my overall score to a "C" pending the completion of the project. UPDATE 2: AGM made it right! The company still seems to be reactive, as I had to follow-up multiple times to schedule the appointment, but it's a minor point in the grand scheme. Thank you, Angie's List, for giving me a voice and a forum, and thank you AGM for listening and rectifying my problem!

I have been an Atlas customer for over 15 years. Their oil may be a bit more expensive than others but their service for home heating systems and delivery is great. I didn't like the oil price lock though because you paid extra for every gallon for the lock. Atlas helped me get a new furnace in my old home with the help of MASS Save rebates and 0% financing. Have MASS Save come do an energy audit of your home and see if you can upgrade your heat and hot water systems with the aid of rebates and the financing. Be sure to get the service plan with Atlas which covers most repairs and has saved me money every year. The plan includes yearly inspections which saves time and money. One time they didn't fill my oil tank on a delivery and had to send a guy in the middle of a snow storm with carry tanks which saved us from losing heat. Their error but they fixed it quickly. Be sure to sign up for auto delivery so you don't have to schedule oil yourself. Their service and repair guys are great. Keep an eye on your billing though. Sometimes they make mistakes but they are quick to correct any errors. We tried to use them for our water filtration system, as they say they can do all home systems, but they failed at inspecting and estimating a new water system for our new house. But for heating systems and oil delivery they are great.

We have had excellent service from Atlas Glenmore. Our relationship started on New Year's Eve 2013 when we arrived at our newly purchased house to find we were almost out of oil. Called our local companies all of whom pretty much said 'too bad', and wouldn't come until sometime the following week. Called Atlas Glenmore who came out immediately with an emergency delivery and checked to make sure our boiler was running smoothly. No pressure to sign a contract. Fast forward, we called our local companies to set up service & got a run around again about not being able to deliver for several days, 'needed to service their existing accounts' (ok, guess they are thinking about future business?.). We called Atlas Glenmore, set up an account & have been very happy customers for the past year. We've renewed our contract with them again this year. Their contract terms are very reasonable for the upside of oil prices, as well as the possibility for fuel prices to drop. They have been very prompt with service calls, and scheduled an earlier delivery of oil when our usage was higher than anticipated.

We were very happy with them. It was great. They were very helpful. They showed up on time. They did the work, very personable. The work was done efficiently.

The new system was installed professionally and beautifully. The maze of plumbing in the basement has been replaced by a few lines that are now actually plumb, and are much easier to track. The new system uses much less space, and is much more efficient. We had problems getting started, but the Atlas Glen-Mor people guided me through the process professionally.

They are great. They do provide excellent service. I have not recently but over the years had them come out for service and they come out right away and take care of the problem. I recommended them to my neighbor across the street and she had a flooded basement yesterday and the furnace died and they came right out and took care of that. So as opposed to other people who really don't have 24 hour service they do.

Delivery was fine, but the billed charges were astounding at $3.95/gal, where as the market rate was below $3.00/gal. They claim to be a full service company, but we pay extra for a maintenance contract. They are gone if they mess up next time!

oil service delivery and oil burner cleaning are on time and professionally done. Long time customer. I found them great in an emergency situation.

The project went very well. All work was contracted w/ Atlas Glen mor. They employed several subcontractors such as chimney people, oil tank removal people, electrician, plumber. Atlas Glen mor, as well as, all their subcontractors arrived in a timely fashion and performed their respective tasks well. Activities started @ 7:00AM and all was completed by 5:30pm. I am very happy with the outcome. All ductwork and piping were installed in a clean, neat professional manner.....no head knockers. The repairs to the AC system are fantastic..........it performs better now than when it was first installed. Heating system functioning, but, yet to be put to the test. The Atlas Glen mor technicians were knowledgable and professional. A special tip of the hat to Frank Dinsmore - Home Comfort Advisor (Atlas Glen mor) for his expert assitance in getting this project moving forward.

We always paid our oil bill. Then, in the middle of winter they sent out a random technician who put a lock on our tank in the middle of winter so that it could never be filled again leaving us with no options. Yes, the tank was old, but they did this in the middle of winter and provided no solution. We had no heat and needed to scramble to find a solution. Atlas Glen-mor never reached out and never provided options. They simply cut off our heat. They then sent us termination fees and suddenly called constantly asking us when we would pay the termination fee. I explained many multiples of times, continuing to ask to speak to managers that they cancelled on us. We finally paid the bill to get them off our back but this company deserves a very poor rating. They will cut off your heat in the middle of winter and leave you with no options.

Atlas Glenmor charges top dollar for their oil. They offer 24 hour oil burner service and are prompt and professional in their service.

My experience went very well. The staff is professional and knowledgeable in their field. I would recommend this company to others.

They overcharge for oil. On a phone call the price of oil changed several times depending on whether I signed up with them or not. The price of is set, why should it change depending on a contract or not? Also, they make it hard to pay off a bill. You cannot sign up for budget billing unless you have a $0 balance. If I had a $0 balance I would not need to budget!!!!

These people are disgusting! They denied the whole incident and gave me their adjusters phone number who was completely unavailable. I left many, many messages during the next five weeks, I think he thought he would wear me down, but I was really angry and no giving up! He finally showed up about two days later than planned appointment. He spent about 7-10 minutes, said he would be in touch. I never heard from him for almost a month, after many, many calls I finally got a letter saying that "it was his determination that Atlas Glenmore was at "no fault". That was it for me, i received two bills for a new pump, one for 325.00 and one for 375.00! cancelled my service, which cost another 400.00. It cost about 8,500.00 to eliminate the mold and smell and another 1500,00 to remove all that was contaminated. I would suggest if you want to deal with honest and responsible people you look somewhere else. Beware of their service contracts, they do NOT TAKE CARE OF YOUR EQUIPMENT.
