A mixed review. They have a large selection of plants, shrubs and trees. We were planting in a difficult area where we have lost many shrubs for various reasons and did not want to invest a great deal of money. We were shopping at the end of the season. I found 2 Fothergilla in the 50% area that looked very good but needed a third. In the regular price section I found 3 more that did not look as good as the reduced ones. Asked the manager if I could get one of the regular priced ones also at 50% off as they did not look as promising. Imagine my shock when he said that not only was that not possible but that he would charge me full-price for the reduced ones since "they had revived" and should not be in the 50% off area. I think this is a very questionable business practice and possibly illegal. After realizing that I was not receptive to that "offer" and holding my ground as firmly as I could he eventually agreed to let me pay the 50% off price. We're not talking huge money here - the full price of each was $59.99 - and the pots had an orange paint spot that clearly identified them as clearance material. I would have thought that this business could have have afforded to just let me buy the third at a reduced price (they don't have to over-winter it and it generates good will) instead of trying to penalize me for finding 2 good shrubs in their clearance area and making the whole experience a hassle. His attitude toward me was belittling and somewhat hostile. I may go back because they have a good selection, but I will not have any warm feelings about the business. I believe they prefer to deal with contractors and landscapers who buy in bulk..

Jason was not able to deliver firewood to me due to State of NH restrictions, but he was kind enough to search for and find a more local provider who could. He didn't just leave us hanging. Very professional.

I called them and they told me I could buy a sixth of a cord of firewood for $160. Their price was ridiculous, compared to other places, and a sixth of a cord wasn't enough. They also wanted to charge me $45 for delivery, which was 11 miles. They don't even stack; they were just going to dump it in my driveway. I called again about three weeks after that and they had more seasoned wood. I ended up buying a quarter of a cord of seasoned wood for $160.00. I had my neighbor help me with his pick-up truck and we picked up the wood and he stacked it for me. It's an amazing place and very unimpressive from outside. But once you drive in their place, they have a tremendous supply of all kinds of firewood and gardening equipment. They had an entire shop of Christmas decorations. I haven't had any problems with the wood. It was good quality. It turned out well enough. I looked at other places and a lot of them had run out of wood or didn't deliver to my area or didn't stack.

Northeast Nursery is fabulous. They arrived on time with the complete order. They are friendly and courteous. We highly recommend them and will use them again in the future.

Our most recent trip we purchased some plants to fill in a few areas, a pot and garden figurine. Everyone was very helpful and the bill came to about $1,000.

They called me at work when they arrived concerned about dumping the stone in the driveway. They were worried that some of it may land on the plants next to the house and wanted to know if this was going to be an issue for me. I told them it would be ok and thanked them for calling about there concerns.

I made several calls to the retail location and got some vague answers pointing me to the contractor location if I wanted to see a large selection of pavers. The selection was indeed large but 50%+ are not labeled which is a big waste of time. You can't find anybody to help and when you do they are harried and rushing you. I just tried to call a few minutes ago to get some pricing on Belgard stone I was able to research on my own. They transferred me 3 times before I was transferred to a recording, got fed up, and gave up. Calling Martignetti in Woburn to try my luck there.

prices there are higher than most other nurseries I've been to; when tried to get help could not find anyone for a very long time, finally when I did find someone they didn't know what they had; on the tree/shrub section even worse no one around for a very long time, finally saw someone who was not friendly at all, giving attitude (as if I disturbed what ever he was doing) and said no such thing as self-pollinating trees, tried to argue and said he has education, really poor experience there especially for the prices they're asking for, get what you pay for? not there, pay a lot but have really poor service I emailed them and they apologized just to respond with "I'm in and out all the time, and referenced few names to ask for who has 30 or so years of experience" which was my problem to begin with, no one to talk to or ask, really poor service; Experience is one thing, but knowing basic customer service skills would also go a long way;

Firewood delivery was on time and the product was excellent. Used them again for a second delivery to another house.

Purchased KD fire wood 1/6th cord fills truck perfectly. Wood cut nice to fit into stove and chops nicely to make additional kindling. Nice small amount to handle in the city.

Quality of wood is good. I am planning to purchase a moisture meter to confirm that they indeed delivered kiln-dried firewood. Generally, I am satisfied with the burn readiness of the firewood. My only complaint is there was a fair amount of what I consider kindling mixed in with the larger firewood. This kindling material should be tied off and/or separated from the firewood.

I've tried cheaper sources including other local landscaping business and tree services, as well as craigslist. For the money ($449/cord + $30 delivery, no stacking) I originally thought I could do better, but after a few seasons I've realized that sticking with Northeast is the way to go. The kiln dried wood is by far the cleanest, driest, nearly bark-free and most uniform wood I've found in places that deliver towards the city on the North Shore. They are a professional ("contractor grade") operation, scheduling and delivery are fast and reliable. Most importantly, compared to multiple other experiences I've had, they consistently deliver exact cords of wood. I've been shorted by as much as 25% on deliveries before, and in some cases it's hard to tell that's the case until I've got all the wood stacked properly and can measure it. I've been forced to call people back multiple times asking for them to bring more wood, or return some money - it's not worth the hassle or my time. Despite it being delivered and dumped from a large truck into a big pile, each time I'm done stacking Northeast is exactly on the mark. With that in mind, the $100 or so you might save by bargain shopping will either be lost to quantity, or quality.

Went to the nursery, selected the trees, their recommended planter ( Brian Stone) guaranteed the trees and the installation for a year. It was very professional crew and they did what they said they would.

We have ordered firewood from Northeast Nursery in the past but had also tried several different companies over the years. We found Northeast Nursery to have some of the cleanest wood around. This year we decided to try the kiln dried wood so we could store it inside. Their price was one of the best we found. We ordered it one day and it was delivered the next.

We had our own landscaper plant the shrubs and trees,which comes with a 6 month guarantee.After a harsh New England winter , We are happy to see the landscaping is doing well. We will return to finish the job.

I scheduled a Saturday delivery two weeks ahead. At that time the person taking my order was unable to provide a delivery time, which was understandable. However, on the eve of the delivery date, I was again told to check on the morrow and when I did, I was informed that "the truck had left, and that it would arrive imminently". In the event, the wood was delivered at mid-day and is of a good quality - if a bit uneven in size. The only annoyance with the whole process was the lack of reliable information regarding delivery.

They delivered 3 yards of Pea Stone and Loam to our house. Delivery charge was 35.00. They put it on a tarp for us.
