This service went very well. They arrived on time, they confirmed what they were to do, they brought in the supplies and equipment they needed to do the job. Most importantly, the cleaned up after themselves.

Gary did a great job and I would recommend him to anyone. He is very knowledgeable. Comes on time and gets the work done! Very professional.

Gentleman who came out to look at the project was very polite. However, once the quote was in, it was far higher than I had anticipated. Have found someone else to do the work at a much lower cost.

We used Mr. Handyman's services a couple of times last summer, for various outdoor projects around our house. On June 26, 2015, we had your technician replace the step attached to our shed in the backyard. The old one was in poor condition and starting to crack, so we requested that it be replaced with a piece of pressure treated wood (the same type of wood that was being removed) and clear coat protected with whatever material is appropriate (if any). We left it up to the Tech to go buy what he needed for that job. That same step is now warped and literally falling apart and shredding top layers, and it hasn't even been a year yet. (And with a very mild winter). Obviously treated wood was not used, and now we have to do the whole thing again. Additionally, the polyurethane used on our porch posts has already totally disintegrated, so we will have to redo that as well. We weren't expecting to have to address that task again so quickly, either. We paid a lot of money for all of these jobs to be done by someone handier & more experienced than us, and trusted you to ensure that the right materials would be used. That was what enticed us to come to Mr. Handyman in the first place, and we are very unhappy with what we see now. Before this post to Angies' List, I tried to email Mr. Handyman independently as a courtesy with photos of the step attached, but the email bounced back undeliverable because of a problem with the recipients' mailbox. That gives me even less confidence in your company. I don't know how you're going to make it right for us, because I don't want a coupon for future services. We feel gypped and won't make that mistake again. Buyer Beware!

I called the generic franchise number and was routed to Steve. I initially was interested only in dealing with the three windows, but he suggested coming up with additional items. They are paid on a time and materials basis, so it didn't make sense to have his guy sit around while the glass work was done. I do not have a 30' ladder, and they do. So they did some higher up repairs that I couldn't get to while waiting. Materials cost was around $450 (three glass units, vent caps, and caulking). Labor was in the $650 range for 8-2. Very professional - I'm quite pleased.

Mr. Handyman was recommended to me after I'd tried calling several area contractors for an estimate on replacing damaged siding on our house (apparently the job was too small for a general contractor). They responded immediately and had a worker out to us the same week. He quoted me an estimate and finished the job in the same (sweltering hot) day. They're on the pricey side, but given their professionalism, responsiveness, and efficiency I thought they were well worth it. If we'd tackled the job as DIYers it would have taken weeks.

The technician, Gilles, is a consummate professional. Unlike most contractors, he arrived on time and on the date scheduled. He performed the work that we wanted done, in a shorter period of time than the initial estimate. He did not pad the time or take any short cuts. And, the quality of his work is superior. I can't say enough good things about Gilles and Mr. Handyman!

I found them to be very good. They're expensive and they wouldn't do a free estimate but they did what they said they would do. They came on time and they did a good job. They cleaned up after themselves. They showed up when they said they would. One of the things I was told that there was a discount for seniors and that was never realized. They could have done better there.

We used Mr. Handyman of South Essex County (Middleton, MA) last year to install an outdoor light. We called again to have some electrical fixtures switched out. Phil arrived on time and is very knowledgeable and very professional. We were so pleased with the work that we asked for an estimate on some additional work and he's scheduled to come out next week. The service was amazing! Dave J showed up on time and was very nice! He worked diligently and got the job completed in two hours! Once he was done he patched the walls, cleaned up great and hauled away the old wood. I asked he a few questions about some other jobs I have planned and he had a great deal of knowledge! I plan to have him back soon!

I received a call ahead from the main office that Phyl was on his way. Arrived promptly and was very friendly. He completed the replacement and made it look really easy even though he was up on the second story. He also had a ton of great tips and advice on some general handyman tasks. Overall great experience. Would definitely have Phyl back for other projects.

The installer seemed to have quite a bit of difficulty - not certain that they had ever installed an over-the-stove microwave oven before. Reviewed the installation instructions for an hour; I used Google and found and showed them an installation video. Then it took an additional hour to install it. Some drilling of holes was required, and they didn't bother to cover the brand new stove beneath them, resulting in sawdust being dropped all over the stove. To his credit, the owner called for feedback and was supposed to get back to me. Never heard back from them. I will give this vendor credit for being able to take on this job with very little notice. But I honestly can't recommend them for any additional jobs.

I messaged Mr. Handyman from Angie's List asking if they could remove the a/c and match as closely as possible my siding. I received a message from Steve that they would absolutely be able to do it and asked for a phone number. He called and we agreed he would swing by one day to see the siding to get better information for a quote. I then spoke to Angela who followed up with Steve and then with me to get the quote together. I called last week to schedule the work for today. Angela and Steve were professional and prompt with their response. Angela called yesterday to tell me that Charlie would be coming out to complete the job. Charlie was here early and ready to work. The job was quoted at 6-8 hours and he finished in a little over 5. He was clean and used items on hand here to save us money on the job. The match on my dark red/maroon siding is wonderful. He bought white and painted it. He called a second Handyman to come and help get the a/c down my stairs. I cannot say enough positive things about Mr. Handyman and all I dealt with. Great work. Value price. I have dealt with my fair share of shady and unprofessional contractors it was WONDERFUL to find one with such integrity.

I was told 7 to 8 days, and Rico did exactly that! I was very happy with the response from Mr. Handyman and with the time it took to do the work. I would recommend them.

Everything went great. They were prompt, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They took the time to make sure they did the job at hand correctly and when they bumped into minor issues due to work that was previously done the house they walked me through the options available for resolving things. I recommend Mr. Handyman and I plan on utilizing their services again.

Angela was very helpful, quick scheduling. Very good work, would definitely use them for more house projects in the future.

Had a dip/soft spot in sun room floor. Had Mr. Handyman out shortly before on other jobs but original serviceman was too large to fit under sun room and they had to call for backups. Owner of business came out and we rescheduled. Were able to fix floor underneath without my being home and taking a day off from work. Day of work, came home and floor was solid. Would never have known they were even there -- all skirting put back and area cleaned. Angela was personable and helpful on phone from office. Once again, another great job. And they honored the 10% off from my original day of work since it was not my fault they had to come back.

It was easy to schedule. I had a long list of times that were able to be addressed. There was one particular task that took 3 visits and even after that, it was still not resolved. I would have appreciated a little more effort to get that done and done correctly.

Angela was very helpful and knowledgeable every time I spoke with her on the phone. Bill arrived on time and ready to work in a logoed truck. Used list as checklist and addressed each item. Was polite and professional but best of all knew his way around maintaining a home. Will be sure to ask for Bill the next time I need work done. Am a widow and had let several items go and was nervous about bringing someone I don?t know in. But Bill put me right at ease and explained what needed to be done, what supplies he would need and approximately how long it would take. The Owner Stephen stopped by during the morning and gave me more information on the firm. Mr. Handyman of South Essex County has insurance and licenses and can handle any type of home repair. That night making my way around my home I smiled when I saw a repair on something that had bothered me for the longest time. Know who to call when I need a repair the next time.

He did a pretty good job for us. He was very straightforward and he told we what was the best thing to do, also gave me some good advice. He did a great job actually. I'd definitely call him again.

They were available when we needed them. They are good on short notice and they can somebody right out.

I was very impressed with the skill level of the technician who came out. He knew exactly what he was doing and was very efficient. I thought that it would take him much longer to complete the work.

They responded the very same day I called for a outdoor repair; it was cold as temperatures was in the 20-30's. The person who performed the work seemed very knowledgable, and professional. He explained in great detail the problem, why it occurred, and the proper solution to resolve the issue. The cost included the labor time to travel and get repair materials, and to return for install. Very professional work performed, and he cleaned up once the job was completed. I have used them before, and will use them in the future if needed.

The job went well. The handyman was professional and repaired necessary parts so that all alarms are up and running. Excellent service- will call again.
