Len Gibely Contracting

The quality of the finished project is excellent. We are very pleased with the new roof. The price was competitive and the estimate was the actual price at the completion of the job. Although we are extremely pleased with the finished product, there were a few areas that could have been better during the project. On the first day of the project the crew was punctual, professional, and communicated with us throughout the day as to the progress of the project. On the second day, the weather was rainy and the crew got a late start. There was very little communication as to what was going on and the progress that day. The crew left at the end of the day with the roof of the garage not finished and did not let us know what was going on. I did not feel that the crew was respectful of my neighbors yard on the second day. They had ladders and equipment on my neighbors side yard, and were careless about not putting equipment on the neighbors plants. Also, clean up of the front yard on the second day was not great. A smaller crew did come back on a third day to complete the roof on the garage and to address the cleaning up of the front yard. Overall we are pleased with the roof. We would have liked the crew to be more professional on the second day.

They were out within 3 days. He was very professional and gave me a decent estimate. I still haven't decided where I'm going with the work yet.

The crew worked tirelessly on the hottest days of the summer. They were very professional and courteous. When there was a recent recurrence in one spot, they were there to provide additional repair. This is a company that I would strongly recommend.

It was so refreshing to work with a company that provided excellent customer service, quality and price! From the moment I made the initial call for an estimate to the completion of replacing a new roof, everyone involved was helpful, professional, and most of all made sure that I was a satisfied customer. I was really impressed with one of the owners who sat down with me for an hour and a half and explained the history of the company, went over the brochure, asked what I wanted first, gave me professional suggestions, handed me a list of references to call, informed me that they had a showcase and I could stop by during business hours to see more samples, and most of all answered all of my questions. In regards to all of the workers, they were efficient, friendly and they cleaned up very well. I was also impressed that the owner was true to his word in stating that the roof would be completed in a day and it was. In addition, the foreman made it a point to talk with me when the roof was completed to expain how the new roof was put on and he identified every specific item that was placed on the roof. Finally, the other owner stopped by the next day to make sure that I was satisfied and to call if I have any further questions or concerns. Overall, I was very impressed with this company and I would highly recommend Len Gibelly Contracting Co. to any homeowner looking to fix or replace their current roof.

Brian Dobbins did the estimate around 3 weeks ago. I decided to use this contractor due to reviews and price. The day before work was to be done, Brian called and said his crew would be there at 8:30. They were there right on time. Jeff, the foreman and I discussed a few details while the crew got set up.I was very impressed with Jeff and the whole crew. They went about their work fast and efficiently.In one day they stripped two layers of shingles and installed underlayment, new roof shingles, and three seamless gutters. They also did a great job of cleaning up when work was complete. I would not hesitate to recommend these guys to anyone looking for roofing work done.

I call and explained what was needed. They came by my residence with a ladder and took the necessary measurements for an attic vent. We agreed upon the make and model and within 3 weeks it was installed.

Work was scheduled to replace my roof for after labor day as they had a lot of jobs to do. Prior to that time, a hurricane was forecast and I became concerned about the leak and called them about this. They organized a special crew for Saturday so the roof would be safe from the bad weather coming in. They normally don't even work on Saturdays so they definitely went above and beyond. They explained the work they were doing and were thorough in keeping me informed. They were very professional from start to finish and their price was very good too. I would highly recommend this company to anybody.

The Roof: The price was the best I received. They were recommended by Angie's list as well as by a neighbor and by my contractor on another project. They performed the project in two days. The team cleaned up perfectly each day, including multiple sweeps with a metal collector for nails (important as I have dogs). They were polite, responsive, professional and followed-up to make sure the project was done to our satisfaction. The Gutter:Because the roof was done so well, I had them reinstall two gutters. They corrected a problem that has been an issue for years. Another A+ project.

Overall it went good while he was here and understood our concern. Although they didn't do the original roof and it is only about 2 years old that they would tack it down.

it went nearly flawlessly... The only hiccup was that the glass slider that was ordered was not delivered on the first try... It was two small... The company "Harvey windows" screwed up and immediately put us on the top of the list for a correct one... It came in within two weeks and Brian had the carpenters out installing it just yesterday. very knowledgeable and friendly! again, a delight to have around and now we are enjoying gorgeous windows and a master bedroom that looks wonderful!

I can't say enough good things about this company and the people that work for them. There was a large (10+) working crew to tear down and rebuild the entire roof system. They were professional and kept everybody well informed every step of the way. The end result is a beautiful new roof that should last us for, at least, another hundred years( with new shingles every 30 years or so). I would like to especially thank Tommy, both Jeffs, Brian and all the rest of the guys that were so good at their jobs and nice to deal with every day. They got the job finished in 4 days and cleaned up every bit of debris and loose nails. Great job and great company!

They were responsive, but the problem was that they were very expensive. They came and gave me an estimate on the same day. I just found them to be very expensive. I really didn’t proceed very far once I got the original estimate. They were a little bit more responsive than the other companies. The estimate was for some additional work so I can’t compare their prices with what the other company did. The other company is only in the roofing business, but Len Gibely is in the construction and roofing business. They bided as a combination job. The estimate was over $15000 to replace 4 skylights and to do the same roofing work that I wanted the other company to do. I thought that their pricing was double. They were very professional and they knew what they were doing. They took some time here figuring things out and I can’t complain about that. They were here on time. It’s a good company, but they are way too expensive. I probably would consider them for an estimate in the future, but once I feel that I’m getting over charged, I’ll be a little bit more hesitant to call them. It's very helpful when one could just be responsive. I don’t know whether I would call them back. I would anticipate the next estimate to be too high as well.

I like them because they use the right materials, and are not cheap. They do the right stuff, and do not cut corners. They work hard for their money.

The owner was nice, visited the property and gave us an estimate. The guys showed up and did good work and the project was finished on time.

I did not go with them as their price was too high. He is not a roofer but he does home improvement. That is another thing why I did not use him. I did not know how he did roofs. I did not want to take a chance with my house. He was very professional. He came with a reference for home improvement and not for roofing.

Overall the experience was positive and professional. I would not hesitate to call them again.

They were great start to finish--someone arrived about 15 minutes after my initial phone call. He provided a written estimate and was back later that day with a crew. They got the heavy snow off the roofs, and said they would be back in the morning to deal with the ice dams. They were back first thing and took care of ice dams all over the roof. They did everything they said they would do, in record time, and with great professionalism. I will definitely use them again!

They quoted me $2000 whereas the service provider that actually did the job was priced $1100 and even charged me less for the chimney cap. I heard that they did great work but the estimate was very high. They were good and I did not have anything to say for the work that they were going to be doing. My overall experience with them was fine but I could not see something being priced that much. I would not consider taking another quote from them in the future because of their price although they seemed a little bit more reasonable. The job required only a couple of hours. The materials were not very costly because they had to take a chimney down and put only a couple of strips of the shingles for the roofing. Hence, the materials were minimal in cost. The labor would have been two or three hours and their cost seemed exorbitant. Even $1000 seemed like a lot but it was the most reasonable quote that I got. They obviously had some other overhead costs like the liability insurance for which I got all the documents from them and so I knew that they were covered. So, obviously those costs factor in. I thought that $1100 was more than reasonable but Len Gibely Contracting Company quoted me twice the amount for the same work which was a lot.

I have a contract with them and they should be here in the next two weeks. They distinguished themselves. I have 3 skylights and I talked to some other roofing contractors and they were not even sure about the sizes of the skylights and if they were standard. They couldn't even tell me if there would be a lot of finish work on the inside of the house when the roofing work was done. It was a big concern to me. These guys measured the skylights on the inside and the outside. The quotes for the roofing materials were identical to everyone else that I got. They were highly confident that the windows were standard and they would order them in advance so they would be ready to pop in. It would be minimally invasive to the finish of my interior. They were a pleasure to deal with and I just hope the roofing project goes as well. They were head and shoulders above everyone else that I talked to.

I was very comfortable dealing with Len Gibley staff from the beginning. Brian was very clear doing the estimate and took his time outlining the overall process in detail. His write up in the estimate was complete and clear detailing the complete job and deliverables. Jeff and his crew who performed the work were also very professional in their execution of the job. Jeff outlined exactly what they were planning to accomplish and they did an excellent job. Their attention to detail was apparent in the new roof and especially the through cleanup. Well done. I would be glad to recommend this team to other homeowners.

I did not go with them as their estimate was considerably more. There was nothing wrong with them, but the price was high. They were fine doing the estimate. They came a week after I called them. They were on time. They were professional. I will consider them in the future to get an estimate.

Brian gave us a quote quickly. The quote was inline with other people we asked. We choose Len Gibely because they were local and Brian seemed like a very capable estimator. The final amount cost a little more than the quote because of extra flashing. It took a day and a half to do the job, and there was a foreman on site at all times. The workers were courteous and did a decent job cleaning up. I am still finding old nails in the grass, but that is to be expected. The best part of the process was that during a winter wind storm (74 mph winds), some shingles blew off. I called at 6 am the next morning (Brian was up and manning the phones), and the shingles were replaced by 11 am at no cost to us. I am glad I went with a local company that answers the phones.
