Mike returned my call promptly and set up an appointment to come to house to do the appraisal. He came to the house on-time and took whatever time he needed to inspect the cellar, 1st floor and 2nd floor and exterior in order to do an accurate and thorough appraisal. One problem for Mike was that there were few similar properties in the area with which to compare this house, so he had to do additional research after the on-site visit in order to complete the appraisal. The appraisal was completed and mailed to me within one week, and Mike also emailed copies of the report to another family member. Very importantly, Mike's appraisal was realistic and on-target. When the house was put on the market, it sold very close to (actually, slightly higher than) his appraisal. Mike is a gentleman and was easy to talk with and easy to reach by phone. I highly recommend him and Ace Appraisal

Sent an email request for a quotation, Michael was in contact with me within the same day. I was given a quote over the phone, and scheduled an appointment for the following week. Michael was familiar with the town I live in and explained that it might take a little longer than normal to complete the appraisal due to the fact that there were few house comparable to mine in the town, and even fewer that had been sold within a "recent" time frame. Michael showed up on time, was very professional and personable, completed a thorough inspection of the house within the time period he described. Between the time of the visit and submission of the appraisal he asked for additional information to insure he had up to date data on the property. Received a very complete appraisal about 1 week of the original appointment.

Mike responded quickly to my email. He quoted $375 which was higher than the other fees reported on Angie's List but because I found him on the list and because I was in a time crunch, I hired him. He arrived on time and spent a lot of time appraising. He then asked for an additional $50 and claimed it was for special FHA paperwork. The refinance didn't work out and I asked for a copy of the appraisal but he said the Mortgage company was his client and he couldn't send me a copy. The Mortgage company is also unresponsive. So I hired Mike, paid him $425 and I can't get a copy of what I paid for.

THIS WAS MY FIRST ANGIE'S LIST REFERRAL! I WAS VERY PLEASED! IT WAS A STRAIGHT FORWARD WALK THOROUGH.

We wanted to have our neighbor's condo appraised which meant coordinating three schedules (neighbor, appraiser, us) and it just wasn't working out so we looked for another appraiser. That said, Michael Gentile was as helpful as he could have been under the circumstances. He provided information and thoughtfully explained the process to a novice.

MICHAEL IS A VERY PROFESSIONAL, EFFICIENT BUSINESS MAN. HE RETURNED MY CALL RIGHT AWAY, GAVE AN ESTIMATE OVER THE PHONE, DID THE APPRAISAL ON A RUSH BASIS, AND GOT THE APPRAISAL TO ME RIGHT AWAY (WITHIN ABOUT 2 DAYS VIA PDF FORMAT). HE WAS THOROUGH IN HIS WORK, AND HIS APPRAISAL WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN MY PICKING THE PRICE TO SELL MY HOME FOR.

I WANTED AN APPRAISER NOT A REAL ESTATE AGENT. MICHAEL GENTILE WAS BOTH BUT WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND EXPLAINED HE WOULD NEVER SELL THE PROPERTY BECAUSE IT WOULD BE A CONFLICT OF INTEREST. HIS REPORT WAS VERY WELL DONE. HE DID A GOOD JOB OF COMPARING TO EQUIVALENT PROPERTIES. HIS REPORT INCLUDED A PLOT PLAN FROM THE TOWN AND OTHER MAPS OF THAT AREA, DIAGRAMS (INCLUDING ALL THE ROOMS AND THEIR MEASUREMENTS), PICTURES (OF THE HOME FROM FRONT, BACK AND OF THE STREET SCENE), A PAGE OF GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE HOUSE, THE YEAR IT WAS BUILT, WHAT TYPE OF HEAT, ETC. IT WAS VERY THOROUGH.

MICHAEL SHOWED UP THE NEXT DAY FOR THE APPRAISAL AND HAD IT BACK TO US WITHIN A FEW DAYS.
