Really BAD. Its a horror story. Make sure if its more than 1000 dollars do not make a deal unless you have a signed contract. He failed to give us a contract. Mass law requires this if it is More that 1000 cost beware it is required by all contatators by state law. If you do not get it in writing before work begins do not let any contractor start. cover your butt.
Description of Work: Started the rewire of a house, then quit after half done and left. Now we must find someone to complete his job. Do not hire! He is more concerned about satisfying chummy contractor buddies.

Initially the process was very good. We were given the name of Dinis Electric by the property manager at our building. She said that she had used them before and was pleased with the service. I called to make an appointment and they happened to have a cancelation that day. The electrician quoted us $300 and said it would take about 3 hours. The overall cost was $230 and everything seemed to be fine. I went to use the microwave that evening to prepare dinner. The microwave was getting power but something was not quite right. The turntable inside was not spinning, the fan would not turn on and it didn't' sound quite as powerful as it did before. After attempting to cook a potato for 7 minutes and frozen peas for 2 minutes it was clear that the microwave was not working properly. It was also giving off a slight plastic smell. We decided to call Dinis in the morning and have them come back. Again, they were prompt at returning to the house to investigate the issue. The electrician told us that during the installation some of the overhead duct work had been moved. It was covering the exhaust fan and when we used the microwave the previous evening we short circuited something and the microwave was now fried. I reached out to Dinis and requested that they provide us with a new microwave. I was told that it was not their responsibility because the duct work was improperly installed and had nothing to do with the microwave circuit breaker. They said it was probably a coincidence that the microwave was working properly before they came out and was now broken after they worked on it. They would not pay for a replacement. I am very disapointed with the lack of ownership and customer service that Dinis provided. We are now out $230 for the repair but we have to replace the microwave before we close on the condo. I would not recommend Dinis to anyone.
Description of Work: We are in the process of selling our condo and the home inspector said we needed to have the microwave put on its own circuit breaker. We had Dinis Electric out to perform that service.

I called them on the very strong recommendation of a general contractor who uses them for his electrical work. I needed an electrician soon, as the closing on my condo would be in a week and I had told the buyer I would take care of the electrical problems. I spoke with Michelle, who was very accommodating and told me that they might be able to do the work the next day or two days later. She said that either way, she would call me the following day and, if they were able to do the work that day, she would call me as soon as they were able to head to the condo. I also asked her if it was possible to get a ballpark estimate (the general contractor had e-mailed the copy of the inspector's report to the company). She said that it might take an hour or two, depending on what they found when they arrived, and she did let me know what the hourly rates were. She did call the following day, to tell me that they were en route to my condo. Two men arrived, and I didn't get either of their names. However, they went right to work, no small talk, no wasting time, and they were done in a little over an hour, so it cost less than I had thought it would. (I had also gotten another -- higher -- estimate from another company, which couldn't do the work as soon as I needed it done.) On the way out the door, one of the men thanked me for calling them, which I thought was really nice.
Description of Work: Corrected some electrical problems that an inspector found in a condo that I'm selling: applied corrosion inhibitor to aluminum conductors in main panel; installed ground wire to outlet box and plug; separated neutral and ground wires in panel by installing ground bar and repositioning grounds.
