Description of Work: Came out to sweep the chimney (special deal offer that we accepted). Told us we needed a new chimney liner and repair around the chimney. Quoted $2000. Pressed us for a date to do the work. We said we'd have to wait until we had the cash to pay them. Next they left a message saying they'd scheduled the work. I called and said no, that we still didn't have the money to pay them. They continued to press to do the work. This made us uncomfortable so we got another quote from another Angie's List provider. He told us we needed minor repair and a chimney cap. Quoted us $350 for the job. Guess who we're doing business with?

Description of Work: New chimney cap was installed as the old one was staining our siding.

Description of Work: We were having a new gas furnace installed and were informed by the seller/service company that we needed a liner for our chimney to accomodate our new furnace. We have a 1921 bungalow house with an old oil steam heat furnace. D & D gave us an estimate based upon a 6 or 7 inch liner. The quote was $1800. The person that came to install the liner was 9 hours late, said he had to go to Rhode Island to get the right materials and then did a total botch job of installing a 5 inch liner for our chimney. When the heating company came to install our new furnace the whole liner job was unusable. Nick, the owner of D&D, denied that they had done anything wrong and claimed that my husband had told them to put in a five inch liner. The liner they put in was so botched, we couldn't even begin to detail all the problems. D&D is not taking any responsibility...
