Absolute ripoff, along with shady business practices. They were prompt and courteous, but that's about it. The technician came and had to replace a $200 part on my boiler, it took him under an hour to do the work. A simple Google search showed at least 10 places to buy the exact part, all around $200. No other parts were needed for this repair, I researched what is involved. I was charged almost $1000, including their $89 diagnostic fee just to walk in the door. So apparently it's a $600+/hour labor rate? I'm obviously in the wrong line of work. This was not an off hours emergency call either, it was a scheduled appointment in the middle of a weekday. The shadiest part of the entire thing was that on the invoice (that they email you later) they bury all the cost, it's not itemized i.e. labor vs parts cost. It just says replaced (part) = $1000. A super scummy and shady way to run a "professional" business, taking advantage of people who don't know any better. I wouldn't be surprised if they also sell used cars. Never again Gervais. You've all been warned.

Had called 5 local plumbers, got answering machines. No one called me back.... Called Gervais, talked to a human, scheduled appointment. Service tech arrived on time, serviced my boiler and got heat running. Very professional and experienced. Will have them service my equipment annually from now on.

Unprofessional in all senses of the word. I've had to work with Gervais due to a warranty on a recently installed furnace (6 months ago). Aside from not honoring the work they've guaranteed in the original signed contract, they've also demonstrated that their expertise cannot be trusted. When replacing the original 15-year-old furnace, they never performed the professional calculations to ensure the new high-efficiency model was right for the house. Nor did they assess factors like insulation or duct work. The gas line-related work was done without necessary city permits and inspection. A second opinion of the work has noted not only do we have the wrong furnace for our home, but also that it was improperly installed (causing leaks). Their company ethics and attitude are as lacking as their expertise. I've encountered hostile technicians, co-owners, and receptionist at every turn when just asking them to honor their promise as well as service the unit. On the occasions where we've needed to make appointments, they've complained about traveling to service the unit, which they had no problem traveling to install originally. If that wasn't bad enough, Gervais has been untrustworthy numerous times - including trying to explain how rust in the furnace wasn't really rust; trying to pull a permit retroactively for the installation of the bad furnace without our knowledge; and walking back formal heat load calculations (after a battle to have them performed) to tell me that the improperly-sized furnace they installed is what my house needs. Another second opinion and estimate by a reputable company directly contradicted that last statement. At this point, we've sunk tons of time and effort into making sure we have a furnace in our home that's installed at a basic professional level. If you expect more than the bare minimum and don't have that time or effort we've had to put in, I'd recommend avoiding this company at all costs.

Gervais Plumbing is timely, very accommodating with their schedule. Their prices are reasonable. and they work quickly and efficiently. The company is up-to-date on the newest types of technologies.

They were very rapid to respond. When they needed additional parts they had someone bring them to them instead of leaving the site. I actually had to use them a second time in April because my unit was starting up rather loudly. They were able to come out and assess it quickly.

Kitchen sink would not drain. I tried to fix it but ended up breaking a pipe attached to garbage disposal. They repaired the pipe and snaked the pipes. Price was extremely reasonable.
