Description of Work: Crow did a superb job building an oak staircase in our home that had previously been carpeted. His price was fair, workmanship excellent. Will soon be working with him to remodel our bathroom!

Description of Work: Repaired the slide mechanisms on several sliding doors. Painted two bathrooms and one wall. Needed substantial spackling as well on several holes.

Description of Work: He quoted a good price but never came to do the work. He postponed for "three weeks" then stopped responding to calls and never showed up.

Description of Work: Crow was on time, friendly, professional and knowledgable. He performed very well, doing about 6 odd jobs incuding fixing a gas grill and scraping and painting heat registers. Put up curtain rods and shades. Price was very reasonable for the quantity and quality of the work.

Description of Work: We had our summer home completely remodeled, including a three season room by Crow in 2006. He shared thoughtful and practical ideas on the different ways we could go with the project. One Idea was a redesign of the stairs coming from our back deck. It saved a lot of usable deck space and the stairway brings us down to the most incredible outside shower. The shower was also designed by Crow and completed in 2011. From inside the shower we have a beautiful view overlooking our marsh.

Description of Work: Crow Grullemans has done everything at my two homes - one in Boston, one on Cape Cod, for years. He did my remodeling in Newton (first floor - new kitchen, incorporating porch into house, new doors, windows and deck, insulation, siding, installing new fixtures for 2 baths, plus projects such as installing a whole house fan and a bannister on a staircase that takes two turns) and he has done many projects at my Cape house, such as making two matching cabinet doors (beautiful finish work), refinishing a rotten section of outdoor shingles, installing new screen door, fixing old screen door, building me a shed, replacing porch screening, replacing casters on upholstered furniture. You name it and he has done it! He has helped me find the right plumber, floor refinisher, is on call when I have had trouble with my - well - I can't think of anything he can't do.

Description of Work: He looked at my house and put a foundation under it, insulated my roof from the outside and reshingled it, put in a new kitchen door, build a fir deck including a railing and stairs, installed a stone wall below the deck outside my basement, redid the areas around my wood stove in my living room and brought it up to code, as well as several other things. Basically my house was falling down and he listened to what I had to say, did what I wanted and he took care of everything.

Description of Work: He put ceilings in my entire house and has also done handyman work on different things around the house.

Description of Work: The last big project was re-tiling our bathroom. But he has been doing large and small jobs for us since 2005. The biggest project was a guest house he built.
