He was hired to put in all new plumbing, with an upstairs full bath and propane heating system. He was to hide plumbing for an upstairs bath in the ceiling of a first floor room. When I came home from work all the plumbing was hanging from that ceiling, not hidden at all. There was no communication from him stating he could not hide it in the ceiling. I was devasted to see all these sewage pipes hanging in my den. The bathroom he put in is not good. The toilet was supposed to be centered under a bathroom window and is not. The tub/shower combo was installed but the drain is 2 inches higher than the back end of the tub and does not drain well. The vanity was supposed to be centered between tub and toilet and it is not. All the vents for the plumbing are not flashed properly. The room he put the plumbing vents in is a room that is going to be finished for a living space. I explained this to him before he started this project. He put all the vents up through the middle of the room and attached the pipes to the rafters that make it difficult to hang sheetrock. He placed heating pipes in two closets that now cause a trip hazard. He drilled holes in the floors for piping up to 3 times the size needed and some holes that were not needed at all. He did not put all baseboard heaters where we discussed and therefore we have 5-6 ft of baseboard heat in a small area that was desigated as a walk in closet. We did not want heat in the closet. Casey also proceeded to put heaters in our mudroom where the pipes were exposed to the cold winds and weather from a crawl space. Our pipes froze and burst. He had told us he couldn't put a water spicket on that end of the house because of the exposure to the weather yet he put our heating pipes there. They were suppose to be on another wall where they would not have been exposed to that cold. Casey was suppose to install an energy efficient propane furnace. It is not energy efficient! We spent 4500.00 on propane the first three mths we were in our house with the thermostat set at 64 degrees. We had a state agency come in to check the burner and it is not energy efficient and the out put of carbon monoxide was 252 parts per million and it should be under 100 parts per million. We contacted him about this. He did come and check it himself, but when the reading went up to 1400 parts per million he took his gauge off so it wouldnt blow up. When we called him repeatedly he would not come back to fix the problem. He did not do what we asked. He did not communicate with us when he could not do what he said, he just did what he wanted. He lied to us about his warrenty and refused to fix problems that came about from his work. Since he did this work, we continue to have a leaking kitchen sink. The pipes burst in our mudroom and had to have another plumber in to disconnect the plumbing to those heaters. Our sewage line backed up into our basement and he refused to come help us. The sewage was coming out of seams in the drain pipes he put in. The 2nd floor bathtub/shower still does not drain well. Our heating costs have only been reduced because it was cheaper for us to buy a pellet stove and pellets for 1/3 the cost of propane we spent last year. I was very disappointed with his lack of communication since I was paying for a professional. I do not consider him a professional in any sense of the word. I would NEVER recommend him to anyone and would advice them to stay away from Casey Bashaw Plumbing and Heating. He used the cheapest piping available and spent a lot of time picking up plumbing supplies at a local hardware store rather than the plumbing supply store. He did not insulate any of the piping which other plumbers have told us they would have done as part of the job. We did get an estimates to repair the work Casey did to our home. They came in between 20000.00 and 25000.00. Thankfully I took pictures as the work was being done.
Description of Work: He was hired to put in all new plumbing for 1800 sq ft home, with an upstairs full bath and an energy efficient propane heating system. Hot and cold pipes, baseboard heaters, two water spickets, two toilets, two bathroom sinks, one shower stall on first floor, tub/shower unit on second floor. Washer hook up on first floor and water hook up for ice maker in the kitchen. He also was to put in a drain for a dehumidifier in the basement as well as the energy efficient propane furnace with on demand hot water. The room he was putting plumbing vents in is a room that is getting redone as a living space. I told him all of this before the job was started.

He does excellent work. We would highly recommend him. He was very professional and prompt. He was very honest and trustworthy. He does good work as far as I know. His pricing is consistent with the industry standards. He was pretty responsive.
Description of Work: We have had some work done by Kasey Bashaw Plumbing. The last time that he came was for an emergency. Before that, he did the plumbing for an addition we had on our home.
