Josh made an emergency call last week when our opener had been pulled out of the ceiling by the door. He said he could make the repair, but pointed out as he had in the past that the door was way too heavy, too much work for the opener, and the reason it pulled the opener out from the ceiling. He warned us that it would be a recurring problem. He explained the benefits of a new door in case we chose to go that route. He said he would apply our emergency repair charge to the replacement job if we wanted the new door instead. We decided that it made good sense to go ahead. He did the work today, as promised, did a great job, cleaned up everything, and was a pleasure to deal with, would call him again! I was surprised to notice the notes on his site here placed there by Angie's List, and found out that Josh's business had burned to the ground around the time Angie's made those notes. He spoke with a rep of Angie's and explained that they could not pay the fees Angie was requiring, and the result was the notes you will see when you see this page. I hope Angie's will see fit to put Shamrock back on their Search list, since this is a good company who performs quality work!

Very well. He called me back within seconds and was at my home promptly after a call he had in Rhode Island. He was very polite and straight forward. He is going to give me estimates on a new garage door.

No concerns nor issues. Due to 'special' pricing, I would recommend them for similar work.

Everything went very well. I would recommend them very highly. They came out probably late September. There were more additional services I had requested so there was an extra cost but other than that, they performed what they advertised and would do for the $49 or whatever the cost was. They just added some rubber bumpers to make the doors quieter for the up and down motion. They were timely and very prompt. They were there when they said they would be and they were upfront. They would make some recommendations and I took their advice on the door and a couple of things. There were no surprises. The price was good value and they did what they said they would do. I would use them again.

My experience with Shamrock was poor at best. Basically it was a lesson in poor communication and worse follow through. I would not (attempt to) use Shamrock again.

It went very well. They were very good. I was very pleased.

I tried to schedule with them several times. The first time they were a no show. The second time I was told by Angie's List that they were out of business, because I couldn't get in touch with them. The third time they said they were back in business so I tried to schedule. The fourth they said there was a fire in their main building and that they would be up and running in a few days and would call me back, and they never did. That was about 3 weeks ago. After reading several reviews, I would rather have walked away from the $39 than have them work on my garage door anyways. I contacted Angie's list for a refund.

Bought the $89 deal to tune up garage door because it was sticking. Repairman came and started work. Came in and showed me that a cable had snapped while he was trying to replace the rollers and it needed replacement. He claimed the door was inferior and ought to be replaced. I had him come back and replace the door. The door would not close all the way - it would get stuck and start opening up again. After troubleshooting it myself I found that a metal handle was crossing the safety beam and making the door believe there was an obstruction. I removed the handle and that problem went away. However, a few months later my opener stopped functioning. After reading some of the other reviews, I am suspicious that the door was hung improperly which caused the motor to burn out.

They did all in one day. Remove the old one, install the new one and it works very well.

Seemed silly to pay for two garage doors when the tune up is really a visual inspection. The service provider did a good job, but I felt like they were mostly looking for ways for me to spend more money on my garage doors.

They were good. They were here for less than an hour.

They were fine, knowledgeable and punctual. They had some questions due to complications with my system. As a result, they were not quite sure how to fully address the problem I had. Nevertheless, they did fulfill their services. I would recommend them to my neighbors.

The work completed we excellent and the installers were professional and thorough. The only thing preventing an all "A's" review was some scheduling/responsiveness mishaps - bought off a deal that was fully subscribed, so it took a little longer than I expected to get the new doors installed. In the end though, work was done well, and I am very happy with the overall product.

Contractor is unresponsive. Tried multiple times to reach company with no luck.

It was a Big Deal purchase. It worked out well. Everything was fine. I ended up having to pay more than the $39 Big Deal price. I have no idea what the total cost was but I do not recall having problems with it.

the install team did a bad job of it and for the next several weeks (and one service call) there were times when the door would not shut. on the second call the person fixed the problem in five minutes by putting the same type of extension (that was on the door that had not been replaced) on the replaced door. another issue was the very very poor initial service that was not delivered due to a failure in the appt making department who booked the job when there were no personnel to do it as they were all at a trade show in exchange for this we were supposed to receive a "free" tune up. the person who came and did the initial install was very clear that all the things he said should be replaced were not part of the "free" tune up. we were not happy with the experience but in all fairness the system has worked very well since the second service call and it all took place more than a year ago and for all I know it was a true outlier for this company which does have a good reputation there seemed to be a very wide range of competence in the people who handled the telephone calls as well with some of them just spouting nonsense and some of them simply telling the truth.

The experience was ok. The guy did not have any comments and said everything was in good shape. I signed up installing the new garage opener but that installation is something I did not like completely.
