NEW ENGLAND BASEMENT WATERPROOFING SOLUTIONS

I had Dan and his team dig a full perimeter french drain in my basement, with a sump pump in the corner. They were on time and worked hard. However, the french drain and sump pump he installed in my basement was not done properly, and thus is not functioning properly. The sump pit was not placed low enough, and when water rises in the lowest spot in the house it does not flow through the drain and into the pit, where it can be pumped out by the sump pump. Numerous calls and texts, with offers to work me into his schedule, and almost two months later I'm still left with pooling water that can't reach the sump pump because the pit was placed higher than the lowest point in the house. Additionally, Dan cut through the top of the sump pit cover, leaving me with an exposed pit in my basement, which is not normal, illegal in some states, and contrary to recommendations from the American Society of Home Inspectors. When I protested the lack of a sealed sump pit, Dan proceeded to tape garbage bags across the top to create a moisture barrier. This happened because I had asked about adding a third, more powerful sump pump to the regular pump and the battery back up. The pit Dan used only had two knock out holes for piping, so instead of advising me of this, he cut the top open to fit piping for the third pump. Had he advised me properly, I would have opted for two pumps, so we could use the lid as it was designed, and seal it properly. Overall it was a fine experience while they were working here, but a combination of bad advice, no advice, and poor installation have left me with pooling water at what remains the lowest spot in my house, a dry french drain, and an empty but exposed sump pit.

Very well. Years ago, he had designed the water alleviation approach for this house, which we had purchased recently. He explained what he had done, and the reasons we have potential water issues. Then, of course, he replaced the dead pump.

Dan is very friendly, promptly came and looked at the problem. Received estimate and within a few days he and his crew took did the job. Thought price was very fair, he stands behind his work. Even saved me $50 by reusing the bucket in our pump because he felt it was unnecessary to change that part. Don't know too many others that would actually give a quote and then find a way to save me money.

Very responsive and timely with phone calls and appointments. Covered area with drop clothes. Left space neat and clean when work was finished. Did not try to oversell with a more complicated solution to problem.

The representative was very courteous and professional, and did a great job explaining what he proposed to do. The estimate was above our budget at this time, but below the estimate another company gave us. We haven't gone ahead with the work yet.

My experience with Dan from the beginning was great. He promptly returned my call, reviewed my issues, provided me with a quote, and was able to complete the job in a timely manner. His pricing was the best and I am very satisfied with their work and would recommend them.

Our basement flooded - again - and we decided to have french drains installed. I called and spoke to Dan, who came out and began the work that same day. He and Al are both very pleasant and professional. They worked hard in some very cramped and uncomfortable quarters, and had the drains installed throughout the basement very quickly. They were careful to cover all of our furniture while they were working, and patiently answered all of our questions. They arrived each day when they said they would, worked steadily throughout the day, and cleaned up after themselves before they left. I highly recommend this competent and efficient team.

New England Waterproofing was responsive, and pointed out a repair I should make while the old foundation was exposed. His pricing was fair, responsiveness was quick. He did a fantastic job, in fact returning one extra time to make sure everything was perfect. He treated my small project as if it was a big job and cared as if it was his own house. I would hire him again.

They quite wasn't seemed very professional. But, after calling in some other people, we decided that our problem was not what we needed and we didn't need to spend as much money as their quote. It wasn't that we felt that they were doing anything apprehended, I just think that with their best estimate was a problem for us. We very much liked their personalities and low key approach. There was no pressure at all. They absolutely seem to know what they were talking about.

Dan was great to work with. He gave me an estimate on the spot after taking a look at the basement and followed it up in writing several days later. The estimate was lower than those of the more well known companies. The work was done the following week and took two days. The basement has been dry ever since. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dan and New England Basement.

Dan was very easy to work with and responsive. His quote was significantly lower than than the big well known companies. The work was done when he said it would be and I haven't had any water issues since.

NE Basement gave me the best price quote of the companies I talked to, they were knowledgeable and on time for the estimate and installation. The system held up in the only test so far, Hurricane Sandy, with much less moisture in the garage than past storms and quiet operation by the pump.

Dan McQuade and crew did a very good job extracting water from basement area, and after some drying time, promptly began work on my basement. All work, (as above) was performed on time over a period of one week. All work was professionally done, and I am very pleased with the outcome. The basement continues to remain dry. Our finished basement flooded in the winter of 2008 with over 6 inches of water and we had to completely gut it. Dan installed a full perimeter drain in the basement in April and we haven't had a drop of water since, even when some of our neighbors have. He was extremely responsive, the crew cleaned up after themselves, and I would highly recommend this company. We got quotes from the other chains (Busy Dog, etc.) and Dan was not only the cheapest, but in my opinion the best.

We called to hire him on a Monday. Dan was able to show up on Wed morning with two additional workers. He did the work completely unsupervised, and it all looks great.

I always field multiple estimates on every project I do, and while Dan was the least expensive by a little bit (I never hire based on price alone), he was also the most professional, the most responsive and had great references. Dan took the time to explain the process and thoroughly inspect the situation before working. I wasn't there to see the guys do the job but my wife said they were very friendly and professional. They installed everything within 4 days and also took the time to do a little grading around the outside of the foundation which went beyond my expectations. They left the work area clean and very neat and the finished product looks excellent. I am a very demanding customer; especially when it comes to responsiveness, and Dan was a perfect 10 on that issue.
