Working with Halliday was a nightmare. It took them many months to complete the estimate, which came in three times higher than other companies. Having signed a contract with them to do the work, they refused to return the $5,000 when I parted ways with them. They disappeared for many weeks with no response to calls. Never even got to negotiations with insurance company.

Excellent job, on time very high quality work.

I would not hesitate to recommend Halliday Construction for any of your general contracting needs. The crew was friendly, prompt, thorough, and extremely neat. At the end of each day, even though we were not living in our home at the time, tools were put away and the floors were swept. Every surface was covered prior to them starting work and when the were finished, the house was vacuumed and left in the condition it was found. Work started and finished on time and the price was extremely reasonable. The leader contractor at our house was always available to speak with us and answer any questions we had. He took the time to make sure we understood each decision we were making. He would also call to either clarify or get permission before beginning a task. I would be happy to recommend the Halliday family to any of my friends and family. They will be the first we call for any other projects!

Replace door to back deck: no problems. Selected appropriate replacement. Competent and professional workmen. Cleaned up. Made adjustments when needed. Gutter repair and waterproofing: Asked Halliday to diagnose problem with mold smell. Gutters were rotted and water seeping through front steps. Again competent and professional. Only issue was dealing with how busy the company was. Once we were scheduled, the work got done quickly and professionally. Pricing competitive. Not the cheapest, not the most expensive. Very trustworthy.

Halliday Construction is a family run company. Keven and his sons have always been very professional; phone calls are always answered within a reasonable time, every effort has been made to answer any questions, estimates seem fair and the work is done on time. We have been happy with the quality of their work and they are willing to fix problems that may arise.

Work was not professional looking. I had to withhold payments of the inferior work. He used general construction workers instead of skilled masons for masonry and it was sloppy and not in line. He also did plumbing that was over priced. He never gave a breakdown for costs and the additional costs seemed excessive. He also rehung a door that did neglected to put a handle on it so it would close properly. He didn't start the work in a timely manner, extending the project weeks beyond what was agreed upon.
