I was referred to Dorsey Electric from two sources who couldn’t say enough about Russ and his quality work . It was clear from the start that Russ has a passion for his craft and is beyond knowledgeable. He provided me with a quote shortly after meeting him and started the work shortly thereafter. The communication was excellent throughout all of the work done in my home. Work was exceptional, house was well cared for while working in it and they always made sure things were cleaned up after their day was done. Russ installed numerous recessed lights, pendant lights, new outlets and a new service to the home. I would continue to recommend Dorsey Electric to anyone looking for electrical work! Russ is a fantastic electrician. He shows up when expected and is very considerate of our schedules, and walks us through to explain the work being done. Recently, he completed the electrical work required for a finished basement and bathroom renovation, installing 30+ recessed lights on four separate circuits, as well as shop lights for an unfinished basement, updating 60 year-old wiring, and getting everything up to code. He even worked directly with the general contractor to improve the GC's plan. The end result was beautiful and was better than we dreamed possible.

We recently moved to Norwood and were looking for an electrician to do some projects around the house. I reached out to Russell and he was able to come out same-day to give us a quote. He completed all tasks extremely well, including hanging a 100lb chandelier in our foyer. He and his apprentice are very kind and honest and cleaned up after they were done. We would highly recommend Dorsey Electric and will contact Russell for any future Electrical needs we have.

Russ and his apprentice, Chris, arrived promptly to install recessed lighting in our kitchen. They got right to work, wearing masks, and cleaned up everything after the installation was complete. The lights were placed smartly and cleanly into the ceiling and the dimmer switch modulates the illumination perfectly. Frankly, the kitchen has never looked so good -- we should have done this years ago. We'll most certainly use Dorsey Electric for any of our future needs (already planning our next project for them).

excellent. Russell was skilled, honest and dependable. He worked efficiently and communicated with us daily throughout the job. He prioritized safety and gave helpful insight as to areas where he would update sooner rather than later. We would HIGHLY recommend him (actually, we already have!).

He came, then set up a time to come back. Did not show. When i called he appologised and said he was busy and such. I changed my busy schedule to meet him. Very poor business.

i cannot rave more about dorsey electric and russ. he is very easy to deal with. he makes suggestions which are very good, his work is clean and looks great. he answers email promptly and show up on time. he gave me an estimate and kept to it. again, i cannot praise him more and i have other work he is going to do. hire him or at least have him come over to look at work.

Russ was great! Everything is now working. He was responsive, punctual, knowledgeable, neat and fair. I will recommend him to others, and will definitely call him when we need electrician services in the future!

Russell did a great job. I ultimately did not get the doorbell installed not for lack of trying on Russell's part but the other work was done very efficiently and successfully. I wish I could have given more than 5 stars. I've worked with a lot of service providers over the years and Russell Dorsey is by far one of the very best. He communicated with me in a timely manner, showed up when he said he would, kept me informed of what was going on and any issues encountered and charged a very reasonable price for the work done. I have already recommended him to a family member and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing quality electrical work done.

Very impressed with Russell of Dorsey Electric - efficient, knows his stuff, excellent customer service. Before approving an insulation project, MassSave said a licensed electrician had to verify our old home had no knob & tube wiring. Reviews led us to contact Russell on a Friday just before 5. He responded by 6 with a quote and a 2-hour time window for Monday. He called Monday to confirm, arrived promptly, did what he said he would for the quoted price and as promised, emailed to us the receipt Mass Save needed very soon after leaving. He was great with ?s and explanations, and quoted a price for outlets we may have installed when current project is done. Prompt, efficient, great communicator, really seems to know his stuff, and on top of that, a nice guy! We wouldn't hesitate to hire him in the future or to recommend him to anyone else.

Working with Russ was easy. Very responsive and easy to communicate with. Installed/fixed 4 motion detector lights, which previous electricians had failed to notice the lights were connected to switches in the house (pretty scary). So Russ receives an A+ for educating us about our light switches and how they connect to our motion detector lights! He also installed new exterior electrical outlets.

This is the second time they have done work at my home and they are great. Reliable and easy to work with. Would highly recommend them!

Extremely pleased. Russ was very responsive, professional and organized. He showed up on the dates/times that he said he would for the estimate and the work. He was upfront that he might not be able to start the work for 1-2 weeks, but was actually able to fit me in that same week. He and his colleague, Dan, were very efficient and courteous. As an added bonus, Dan was able to fit me into his schedule the following week when I reached out to let him know that I decided to add an extra light and have an outlet moved. I highly recommend his service.
