Description of Work: gave me some good advise over the phone

Description of Work: My stove had died. I called Commonwealth, let them know the specifics of the problem. The repairman came out, opened the oven door, called the office, told me my oven couldn't be foxed and charged me $90. I them called the manufacturer to see if they had a repair service. They did. But instead of coming to the house, they took the details and told me over the phone that the stove could not be fixed. Since the Commonwealth repairman literally did nothing except open the oven door, I'm sure they could have made the same diagnosis remotely and not charged me $90.

Description of Work: I called Commonwealth Appl. because our washing machine stopped spinning, he asked the make model etc ...then asked what it was doing...and before I finished he said "ok this is pretty common for this model, it is fixable but will cost almost as much as a new machine. The bearings for the drum have let go. The most cost effective fix is to replace." He saved me the cost of a service call of about $100 to come in person and tell I needed a new machine.

Description of Work: Aaron of Commonwealth Appliance, Inc. came to fix the door hinges on the kitchen stove on Monday morning. He called to say he was on the way from his previous appointment, which was very helpful. He was courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. He took care of the problem in about 20 minutes possibly a a little less. The stove door works like a new stove. I will call company for any appliance repair work needed.
