Mike and Jesse came at the first opportunity and fixed the stuck drawer. It was done quickly and neatly. It went very well. We were not charged for anything even though their work was not what caused the problem. We would recommend them.

The whole experience went better than I could have hoped for! Mike and his crew were clean, on time and professional. My kitchen went from a 70's look to a modern, clean & elegant look and I couldn't be happier! I would recommend Kitchen Tune-Up to anybody!

It has been a great experience each time. Very good at staying in communication and following through. They are always available to answer my questions. I have and would recommend them to anyone looking for this type of work. The quality of the work is exemplary. They are also very much in tune with current trends and design and make very good recommendations.

Mike came to our house. Offered suggestions that we had not thought off. My wife and myself took his advise we 2 of his designs and are glad we did. We changed to simple maple color. Did not have to repaint. Did not have to tile. We went to his show room in Norton. Just to get a feel, we set a date and Mike met us. This in my wife's opinion was perhaps more if not just as valuable as his visit to our home. To see it in person and drawings made us feel a lot more comfortable with the process. We would highly recommend mike and his crew, Jessie, Dave, Matt. That was fun What I also that was pretty amazing. They had all the materials and tools in the truck. Very efficient Some fine finish carpentry. Saved a great deal if I was to change out to all new kitchen cabinets. But the funny thing is with all the alterations and new finishes I feel as if I had in the end.. Totally happy..

We were not happy with the end result. When he came here he was very professional. We told him that we wanted a dark cherry, but he talked us out of it, and he said that it would be too dark for our kitchen, and he wouldn't recommend it, and so we went with a different shade, and it was horrible. He said it was cherry but it was natural cherry, and he said it would darken over 4 to 6 months, but he didn't say it would darken in strips. Some of them are big strips, and not one person who came to my house said they liked the cabinets. When he showed up pictures, he didn't show us pictures of what we would get. Some of them are big marks and look completely hideous. We called him, and he came and looked at it, and said that he would replace a couple of the doors. He brought the wrong doors, and then said that they would replace the entire top. He then called me and asked if he could send them, and we could do it ourselves. I said no. They then replaced it, but we are still not happy with it. It looks dark over here, light over there, it looks old. We are considering stripping it off and putting new ones. When he left, we noticed he had left all the old doors in my driveway behind the trash can. I told him to leave me one for the record, and we thought he would take the rest, but he left them there, and we can't get rid of them, because the trash people won't take them. The bottom line is that we didn't get what he showed us in the pictures. If I could afford it, I would have the kitchen redone, because we are not happy, there are too many shades in there. I would have never ordered them if he would have shown us the real picture. There are white streaks going through them, and I don't understand how we could be happy when we were leaning towards the darker cherry. We saved and saved, and spent a lot of money on it, and then we are not happy with it. I told him to show me a picture that looks like the white door, but he didn't have it. It brings down the resale value of the house. Not one person has ever said that my kitchen looks beautiful. There was one contractor who came to do windows, and he said he couldn't believe it, because it was either cheap wood or it was just bad. When he came to redo them, I told him that it is never going to be what I want. I told him that if he would have shown the true picture, I would have never ever done it. He didn't seem to care, he just finished it and walked out. We had to wait months before he could come back and fix it. I wouldn't recommend him at all. We had gotten other estimates, and he was right in the middle. His price was fair. He was here on time for the original time, but he was not after we got the issues. He was good in the beginning, but he wasn't responsive after the issue. He was very professional in the beginning, but not at the end, he was rude. Mike your response is a blatant lie, first of all you never told us or showed us a picture of what the cabinets could truly look at. yes u did say they would darken over time but you did not say they could have large blonde streaks running through them. Also why would would we want to keep the cabinets that you replaced but then have you hide them behind a garbage can outside subject to the weather. That makes no sense at all. Finally as far as our comment card we only filled it out because we felt badger by you after you came out to put on a corner piece that we had wanted right from the start. To add insult to injury the piece youadded is not even cherry it is maple and it stands out like a sore thumb.

We have a small ranch with a small kitchen and our kitchen was last completely remodeled in 1990. While the quality and construction of our cabinets was excellent and they were in good condition, we wanted a change. Over the last few years we replaced the floor with hardwood and added a Silestone countertop. After researching the cost of cabinets and the quality of refacing, we settled on Kitchen Tune-up of Norton for the great reviews. Mike visited us with a collection of colors and styles. He looked around and offered suggestions including roll-out shelves for our small closet pantry. A few weeks later he stopped by with Jesse, who did the measuring and brought some more samples. We then decided to go ahead with the project and a schedule was set. On the scheduled day a crew of four led by Jesse arrived on time and went right to work. They worked great together and we were never concerned with leaving them alone in our home. They worked so hard that they were able to complete the project in less than half the time of the original estimate. Although they used the garage and driveway for sawing and assembly, they left everything neat and clean. They did excellent work and left us with a brand new kitchen. No one could tell that we used the same cabinets. The addition of the roll-out shelves in the closet pantry makes it easy to know what it is in there without moving everything around. We are very pleased with everything about Kitchen Tune-Up and highly recommend them. If you are satisfied with your basic kitchen layout and the cabinets are in good condition, this is the way to go.

Mike came out & gave us an estimate which we accepted. He is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He said that he could probably get the cabinets to about 85 percent of new condition. Mike is very busy and it took a couple of months to get an appointment to get the job done. Mike and his son came in and spent about 4 hours working on the cabinets. They look so much better and the job has met my expectations. Mike also gave us a good recommendation where to get out new granite countertops.

Kitchen Tune-up did a wonderful job refacing our kitchen cabinets. We wanted a full overlay look and were told by several companies that it would not be possible given our existing custom full height, non-standard cabinet boxes. Somehow Mike and Jesse were able to give us the look exactly as we wanted. We vistied Kitchen-Tune-up showroom and were pleased with the selection and suggestions that Mike offered. We finally selected cherry wood doors. Mike and Janice were always quick to respond to any questions we had. Mike and Jesse also had some great suggestions for the design which made the kitchen a more usable space. The work was completed quickly and the area was kept extremely clean and neat. We especially appreciated their attention to detail. Mike and especially Jesse are not happy with "good enough" but expect all work to be done perfectly. We are so happy with the results. The cabinets are absolutely beautiful. We may not need to do another kitchen again, but would definitely return to Kitchen Tune-up for work on our bathrooms. Mike also provided some great referrals for other work including floors, tile, and the countertop. Every person he recommended did an outstanding job.

Mike and his crew were amazing and the updated kitchen looks beautiful. Everything was done on time, on budget, very professionally, and the end products looks gorgeous. He is your dreamed contractor! The formica of a couple of cabinets of my original kitchen were peeling off. It tried to fix or replace just those ones but it was impossible to find the same type of door design. When I called Mike, he was very responsive. We talked on the phone, got an idea of what I wanted, came to my home and suggested some door styles. The quality of the doors was top notch. He suggested to change the crown molding and to add some beautiful fillings. That same week we agreed on price and a date for the update. He also instructed me on what cabinets and drawers needed to be emptied before the big day. On the promised date, he came with his crew and in ONE day I got a new kitchen... well, almost! The hardware I had chosen for the new doors didn't look the way I expected. I had to reorder new one. Once the hardware arrived, they promptly came back to install it. I love my new kitchen! I 've gotten many nice compliments from friends and family and the whole process went very smoothly. I will totally recommend Kitchen tune-ups to anybody who needs to upgrade their kitchen without spending a fortune!

The experience and the final product were great! I chose to go to their showroom at their home for the largest selection. Mike, the owner, helped me pick out the cabinets, listened to me and made helpful suggestions. When he came to my house for the quote I discussed my frustration at finding the right vanity and asked if he did bathrooms too. He showed me some pictures, I fell in love and couldn't be happier with the result. He increased the height to "right height" at my request, it was very low before and the bathroom is elegant! His son Jesse does the measurements and leads the team on site. He is very personable, does quality work and always had the place clean at the end of each day. I had never seen a kitchen with resurfaced cabinets but was told my cabinwts were good quality and in good condition. Resurfacing was a good option and less expensive. I am very happy with my choices: using Kitchen Tune Up, resurfacing, the quality of their materials, their workmanship and their customer service. I am having them back for the master bathroom in November. That's the best recommendation a customer can give!

My wife wanted a new kitchen environment , knotty pine cabinets were not coming back, so after much search we found Kitchen Tune Up South Shore on Angie's list. Mike Dugan came to our home in July he spent a few hours with us to determine our wants and made great suggestions for our space. We chose the type of wood and finish from samples Mike gave us an estimate and a calendar time frame to complete the work. Mike suggested we visit his showroom; we are glad we took him up on the offer, as my wife and I changed our minds regarding wood species and finish, All was painless as Mike changed our order and honored the original install dates. Mikes install crew is led by Jessie, besides being excellent craftsman, they are gentlemen, they honored the sanctity of our home, very professionally friendly, They were at our home for three days as contracted, my wife and I went out about our business going to lunch and running errands without any second thoughts. The kitchen turned out better than our best anticipation. I am retired from the hotel industry after 40 years, I would never author an erroneous testimonial. Mike laid out all our options and guided us every step of the way. Instead of refacing, we chose custom cabinets. They're beautiful! Mike has all the styles, wood grains, colors & stains displayed in his showroom. Every price point is available to choose from. When they came out to our house to measure & discuss options we didn't feel rushed. They took their time & explained everything in detail to us. The total work experience with Kitchen Tune-up was excellent. Workmanship was of high quality and meticulous. We appreciated that there was no pressure involved when planning the project as we experienced with another company. When unexpected issues arose that were not contractual, they were met and corrected without hesitation. Work completion was set for three days but was finished ahead of schedule in two days. We had a problem installing a microwave oven and Mike's carpenter, Dave, came up with a solution and solved the problem with his clever idea.They also helped install a heavy wall oven for us. In other words, they will go the extra mile to satisfy their customers. Mike, Jesse and crew were a pleasure to work with...they all work and get along very well together. Although I didn't know exactly what I wanted it didn't take long for me to know Mike Dugan was the person I wanted to handle my project. He and his son, Jesse, came to my home to measure. I changed my mind numerous times. God gave Mike and Jesse patience, guidance and creativity. Let me take a moment to talk about measuring for your new kitchen. I visited two other kitchen renovation centers. Each came out to measure and each were so far off it was ridiculous. Jesse measured with such accuracy it was amazing. Everything fit like a glove! My house had several "special issues" such as the radiant electric heat wires embedded in the plastered ceilings, a tile floor that I wanted to keep and try to match tiles from the '60's, etc. They worked around it all and even installed ceiling lights something I thought and had been told was impossible. In the meeting when we visually renovated my kitchen he asked, "Do you have a carpenter?" to which I replied, "Not really". "Well, he said I have the best carpenter". With each tradesman I needed he had the best i.e. carpenter, plumber, electrician, etc. I soon found out he was more than 100% correct. They were precise, clean, creative, problem solvers and did the best work I've ever seen. I love my new kitchen and I loved the whole process. I even miss seeing these guys and will definitely use his tradesmen in the future for my house maintenance needs. Thank you Mike, Janice and Jesse for your patience, understanding and guidance. If I could give you a rating higher than an A it would be done in a heartbeat. Oh, and PS, Mike also had the best hardwood floor guy. With the money I saved I scrapped the idea of saving the tile floor and put in hardwood. Couldn't be happier! MaryAnn Farrar

Working with Mike & Janice as well as the rest of their team is great. We appreciate the fact they allowed us to see their own kitchen when we were visiting the in-home showroom to get a sense of the design ideas they provided. At no time did they pressure us for a decision or make it an uncomfortable situation. They asked what we wanted and worked with us to get it into the budget we were working with and provided many ideas and options as we worked through the decision making process in order to get what we wanted; they are very knowledgeable and experienced. We ended up with soft close drawers and doors based upon their recommendation, which have worked out great. The price originally quoted was the price we paid; they even managed to shoehorn a little extra into it by removing and replacing a wooden counter bottom, directly under the sink, in order to provide a more pleasing appearance to the finished cabinet. The new pantry they installed blends seamlessly with the rest of the cabinets. The schedule was set for three days and it would have been sufficient except three of the drawer covers they received were the wrong size. They completed everything with the exception of these drawer covers and worked out an agreeable date with us to come back and install them. We asked KTUSS for, and eventually went with, a recommendation for a plumber (Premier Plumbing) and counter provider/installer (Boston Fabrication); both the recommendations were excellent, very professional, and reliable.companies The prices from both were reasonable and they were good to work with. We would recommend Kitchen Tune-Up South Shore without hesitation Mike, Jesse and their team were pleasant to deal with throughout the complete process and the results were high quality. I appreciate people that treat my home with respect and meet the promises they make. I appreciate the Kitchen Tune-Up South Shore team. We love our kitchen.

Mike was "top notch" when we met with him he just got back from vacation he didn't even unpack yet. He spent plenty of time with us, he was extremely thorough, he took his time explaining the process to us, and made excellent suggestions we never even thought of. We will hire him in a second once we get our two boys out of college, which Mike completely understood, as he has done this with his three kids. We were so very impressed with his professionalism, and extremely happy we found him. Trust us you will too!

Our experience with Mike, Jesse and the team was nothing short of outstanding. Every aspect of the process exceeded our expectations. Mike was very patient with us as we worked through the the materials selection process. He offered valuable consultation based on years of experience. When Mike and Jesse arrived on site to take measurements they made a a number of suggestions that resulted in a beautiful transition of our kitchen. The removal of the appliance caddy was one suggestion that had us a little worried as it required cutting it away, but their skilled crew accomplished the task without incident. You would never know it was there. In fact the entire job was completed in a craftsman-like manner. Jesse and the crew were meticulous, paying attention to every detail and cleaning up after themselves throughout the process. Our renewed kitchen is amazing with a number of upgrades and elegant details. What this crew was able to accomplish for the money spent was amazing. I would without hesitation recommend this company to anyone interested in remodeling or updating their kitchen.

I just had my galley kitchen refaced with new wooden doors and drawer fronts. Being a widow, I was nervous at the thought of having work done, but from the time I walked into the showroom to get a price and pick out my cabinet doors, Mike made it so easy. The work was started on Monday morning and finished by Tuesday afternoon. The men were so professional and great at their jobs. They also get along so well. Having an older kitchen we encountered a couple of problems, however Dave and Jess came up with solutions right away and I am so pleased at what they suggested. My over the stove fan did not have a vent to the outside, which I never knew about, so they suggested a microwave for over the stove. Dave removed the fan and built a place for the new microwave and even put a shelf over it for me to use My cabinets were a dark oak and now they are a lovely white . It looks so beautiful. When they were finished with the job they cleaned up and you would never be able to tell they had been there. I am so very pleased and I can not express enough at how great they were. Very patient in our lengthy decision making process. No pressure at any time. Provided a huge array of options and gave advice when requested. Very knowledgeable and experienced, so advice and suggestions were extremely helpful. Price was all inclusive, no hidden extras. When schedule was determined, it never changed or got delayed. When we made an addition to original plan, all went smoothly, and cost was more than fair. They arrived when they said they would and completely transformed our kitchen in 2 1/2 days. It was miraculous. They were efficient, friendly, courteous, and cleaned up well enough to pass a 'white glove' test. They recommended an electrician, plumber, tile installer and stone fabricator, all of whom were outstanding in their field and equally professional and reliable. I would recommend them without hesitation.

It was excellent. They did a fantastic job. All of the people Jesse and Mike suggested to coordinate with really enhanced the project. My kitchen came out beautifully, and I get a lot of compliments on it. They were trustworthy and clean, and easy to contact. They provided suggestions that really worked out well.

From start to finish, Mike Dugan and family/crew were amazing! I had already researched quite a bit on refacing, as well as reading reviews here on Angies List for 3 or 4 different companies, most of which really didn?t impress me that much, except for one ? Kitchen Tune-Up. I called and spoke with Janice on the phone about having an estimate to reface my 45 year old cabinets and explained what type of refacing I would like, as well as some additional work I needed done. Janice was extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of the job as well as the products, answered all of my questions, and was a real pleasure to talk to. I pretty much knew what I wanted (Maple doors and veneer fronts), but wasn't sure of the color. Janice made a note to have Mike bring some samples for me to look at. We set up a date and time for Mike to come and see what needed to be done, and to give an estimate. Mike came out about a week or two later, was right on time. He listened to what I'd like to have done, what I didn't like about my kitchen, and offered some really good suggestions. To name a few, we had a long peninsular that doubled as a breakfast bar which we seldom used. Because this breakfast bar wasn't very deep, we were never able to have a dishwasher installed. Mike suggested tearing out the entire peninsular and rebuilding it to accommodate a dishwasher. Bravo, great idea! He also brought some door samples as well as quartz counter samples for me to look at and also suggested if I didn?t see anything I liked, I could go to his showroom and look at many other styles and colors. No need, I saw what I liked from what he brought. Easy! Now, this meant losing a cabinet for storage, but again, Mike had some great ideas. Instead of two traditional cabinets in the peninsular that would now be quite a bit deeper, and obviously much more difficult for me to bend down to reach things in the back, he suggested replacing these cabinets with THREE huge sliding European style drawers. Not only do they hold a whole lot more than the two original cabinets, they slide completely out making everything in them easily accessible, and they look fantastic. Kudos on that one! Another thing I hated about my kitchen were the upper and lower cabinets where the peninsular joined the wall with the sink. There was a huge amount of dead, wasted space in those two corners because it was impossible to access them. I asked Mike if he could add doors on the dining area side and he said, "Sure, no problem!". Yay, I'm gaining more usable space! He also suggested installing a bigger lazy susan, adding tipouts to the sink fronts, a more updated valance over the sink, and adding a double trash bin which I LOVE! But most importantly, I now have room for a dishwasher, Woohoo! But best of all, there was NO pressure, no sales pitch, no "Get a special offer, but you have to sign NOW", (I hate that) just an estimate which I found very reasonable for the amount of work and quality of cabinets I wanted. I was sold. The project was estimated to start in about 2 months since he had other jobs already lined up, but to my surprise, he was able to move it up a month. I was thrilled! A work date and time was scheduled, Mike and his son Jesse (who by the way is exceptional at his work, very detailed oriented, and a perfectionist) along with a few other workers who were also fabulous, arrived right on time. Watching these guys work was like a well orchestrated show. They managed to work around each other in my fairly small kitchen without getting in each other's way. Any concerns I had (and there really weren't many at all), were addressed to my satisfaction. The estimate I received was dead on, they even added some additional molding at no extra cost. Mike also gave me some recommendations for a plumber, electrician and counter top company which were all very good to work with. Everyone coordinated with each other so that made things much easier all around. Would I recommend Kitchen Tune-up South Shore to others? Absolutely! I couldn't be happier with my new kitchen and actually look forward to cooking now, HA!

Working with Mike and his team was amazing. Jessie is so talented and his work is impeccable. I am a perfectionist and I couldn't find one thing that didn't look gorgeous. Everything from discussing the plans, picking colors and scheduling renovation was seamless. The end product was above and beyond what I imagined. I would highly recommend Kitchen Tune-Up to anyone who us looking at remodeling their kitchen. Mike is so honest and up front which is hard to find these days. I would use them again in a heart beat!!

Mike was a pleasure to work with... from the design stage to installation. He listened to my wants and needs, and then built on them to make them even better. Mike had never-ending patience as I changed my mind here and there through the design stage. He was always available to answer questions or talk about the kitchen... even if he was away on vacation. My kitchen was refaced a few months ago and it is functionally and cosmetically perfect. I continue to sit and gaze at it. Believe it or not... I still enjoy cleaning it after several months.
